Dr. Manalo is an Oby RE and had lots of ttc patients.  If you really want to get pregnant, alam na nya ang mga best choices considering the couple's conditions (age, infertility cause, other ailments etc).  She is my oby for both pregnancy.  Even though hindi sya ang nag ivf sa akin (see earlier post why), she had a key role in the success of my 2 ivf (without fail)  kasi sya ang nag prepare sa akin prior, and took care of me during my critical pregnancy.  She managed us to get thru ttc, considering [textspeak!] conditions namin pati [textspeak!] selan ng ivf conception (prone ang ivf sa miscarry so dapat naaalagaan ka [textspeak!] ng marunong na Oby) and complications ko while pregnant.
She may seem masungit, but she is a bright Oby RE.  Minsan di ko na sya ma understand, pero i make sure na intindihan ko instruction nya sa akin.  Hindi lang sya gumagawa ng iui or ivf, she also does operations or gives treatments to endometriosis, apas, pcos etc.
Pasensya napa haba. Pero this is what i want to advice ang mga sisses na magpa manage sila sa magaling na Oby RE, prior ivf para maging success at hindi masayang ang $$$$.  Madaming sisses din na narealize eto pero huli na.

So kung nagmamadali ang couple mag conceive yet ayaw mapagastos agad sa ivf, i think doc can give you a nice advice on that.  Probably ipa check parin nya yung AMH mo (quality and ovary reserves).

^True sis.  Even my tita who is an OB (UP-PGH trained) said that I was in good hands with Dr. Manalo.

I wish I could stay with Dr. Manalo but it would really be too expensive for me. The thing with hubby and I is that we set a budget and time frame for us to hopefully get pregnant. We agreed to only spend 500-600k after which we will stop trying.

500-600k is only good enough for 1 cycle of IVF if we stick with Dr. Manalo/St. Lukes Carmi. Whereas this will be enough for 2 cycles in Kato. Hence, this is my reason for switching to Kato, aside from the fact that I find it more convenient.

Thankfully Doc. Mendiola of Kato seems to have a very similar approach to that which Dr. Manalo suggested to me, at least with IUI. But up to now, I still follow all of Dra. Manalo's prescriptions for my PCOS and pre-natal vitamins.  It was Dr. Aguilar who was the most conservative among all the 3 doctors I consulted with.

Thanks bro Scubadoobidoo! I read your OB is Dra Israel. We might go to her clinic after I've done my HSG with Dra Aquilar. Ang saya lang magbasa ng ganitong forum, nagkakaron ako ng hope. hehe Thanks for sharing.

Thanks sis princess20. 3% lang ang normal forms nya and konti lang din ang count. Though ok naman yung iba.

@princess yup i was the original who referred her here. Basta i remember my normal forms fluctuated between 1 to 2%. Kaya dont lose hope.

Ganun din sis princess20. Low count and normal forms nya 3% lang when we did our iui. Pcos din ako at prediabetic. Super hirap i-maintain nung pregnancy ko. Bed rest ako from 6 weeks to delivery with pampakapit all throughout. Was put on insulin din for the duration of my pregnancy. Confined twice due to low amniotic fluid. Hirap talaga, cs na, premature pa ang baby and nag stay pa sya sa NICU for a few days but it's all worth it in the end.

Anyone here who tried Usana Essentials and Coquinone na nabuntis after two months or so? May kakilala ako na nagtake nito in 2 months na-preggy with proper diet and exercise. Kaya nagtry din kami ni hubby. We just started yesterday.

^^OK lang sis. Abangers na ko kay AF kasi dun pa lang ata magstart ng gagawin kay Dra. Aguilar. For now pinagtetake muna nya ko folic acid for 3 months. Si hubby din nirequest nya SA.

@imprincessfiona, naka 3 months din kami ng hubby ko ng Usana Essentials, COQ10 1 bottle lang kami since it's very expensive. For the COQ10, naghanap na lang ako ng alternative sa Health Options. But unfortunately, we are not yet pregnant. I have PCOS by the way.

Sis bale last tuesday kami nagpunta ni hubby. Feeling kasi namin blockbuster pg weekend.mga 920am ako dumating sa clinic and pang 3rd ako. Nung mga 130pm ata mga 17 patients inabot nung araw na yun sa tingin ko

@chili go for ivf nalang. Mas better success rate and consequently cheaper. And due to your age you dont have the time to wait na talaga. Good luck. Go to taiwan for ivf its way cheaper there.

^Thanks sis! Yes we decided to go straight to IVF and skip IUI. =) I did mention Taiwan to hubby, however we decided to do it here for now. Also because we have agreed to try natural cycle IVF first and I think Taiwan only does conventional IVFs.

I am feeling positive at the moment since a lot of my high school batchmates are expecting a child, even with our age! =) Some friends think I am a little nuts because we never tried to conceive naturally. We have never been diagnosed with infertility because we never even tried and I was always on OCP. And now we are going for our 1st cycle IVF this month! The thing I don't want to waste time anymore. I feel like this year is my last chance and I need all the help I can get.

Hi mga sis! It's been a while since I last posted here in GT. When I reviewed the last thread I joined, TTC Thread 6 pa. LOL. I am already a mom, my son is turning 4 on February 25. Like most of you here I also have PCOS. With God's grace, I was able to conceive by taking medicines, July 4, 2012 to be exact when I first knew I was a month pregnant. Now, heto at balik ako sa square 1. This 2017 lang kami talaga nagtry na bumalik ulit sa pagtry na magconceive. I am turning 32 na kasi and not getting any younger. Kahit isa pa sana or 2 pa if God permits. LMP ko was January 9, yesterday I had pinkish spotting. Tapos ngayon wala na, pero ang sakit ng balakang ko and may feeling na any moment ay magkakaperiod ako. Too early though, kasi dapat next week pa due ko. Btw, mula nung nanganak ako, naging regular na period ko pero ang haba ng bleeding period ko, inaabot ako ng 10-12 days per cycle. Pero not heavy naman. Si husband thinking na baka nakabuo na ulit kami? Kaya lang parang feeling ko period ito na magtutuloy-tuloy.

@chili im a guy. 😊 IVF mas mura yata sa taiwan. Cousin had it done there for 300k+ including airfare and accomodation. Plus pina store nya eggs nya. APAS sya this time kaya they went there last month. She is now preggy.

hello mga sis, would like to know if my similar case dito..

TTC for 4 mos, went to an OB and found out that I have Pcos while hubby diagnosed Azoospermia (No sperm count). OB referred us to a fertility doc and did additional tests..with the results, doc told us that IVF is our only hope.  and nirerefer na kami sa urologist for biopsy and if ever na may makukuhang sperm.. IVF is the next step na.

We would like to seek for second opinion sana.. we are still hoping na baka meron pang ibang way other than IVF.. and to work on muna sa "no sperm count" (baka lang naman may way na "magkaroon" pa) ..  Btw, I'm currently taking Folic and Metformin.. while hubby Rogin-E lang as advised by the OB... however the fertility doc naman would like me to start pills.. 

Medyo nagsisimula na kaming makaramdam ng stress dahil dito kasi double factor pa talaga kami.
