mag air lang ako ng concern. I am having second thoughts on my P/V . hen I first booked them, parang OK naman yung mga kuha nila. May hit and miss naman pero t was acceptable for our budget. last november though i feel pangit na sila after seeing other photog's works. when i look at my expense organizer it feels right i didnt spend so much. but when i look at the pics makes me think twice if i made my decision.

malaki na kasi initial down payment namin kaya hinayang mode ako. P10k agad binagsak namin e. :/ its 40 days before my wedding so getting a new one seems risky and stressful.

ka sad lang kasi i prayed so hard for suppliers to be OK pero this one i seem to have failed.

I kind of feel the same sa Videographer ko naman. Unang mga SDE na napanuod ko sa kanila sobrang ok sakin pero yung iba lately, di ko na gusto yung style. But they are open to the couple's input so I guess tututukan ko nalang para masunod talaga yung gusto naming output. But even if nakabook na kmi nanunuod pa rin ako ng mga SDEs ng ibang videographers hehe and meron ako nagustuhan na style ng isang videographer. Unfortunately, I couldn't cancel na rin kasi ang dp nmin is 16,800 na which is non-refundable.

If you're eyeing another supplier, I will say go for it or look for P/V na same range? I know this is difficult given you're in time pressure plus nakapagdown na kayo pero sa palagay ko mas oki if full trust ka kay P/Vr. Ito kasi din one of the things na maiiwan sayo. Collectively mas maganda same kayo decision ni H2B.

But have to agree with sis Ziyi.

Another approach is you talk to your P/V? Maybe influence her on your selected shots na 'HIT' nya per your taste?

@Ziyi & yinandyang: Ramdam ko mga sinasabi nyo mga sis. I have a bit of an issue with our videographer.

Magaling sila, and they're very easy to deal with, but we have a little issue with their audio... Sabi nila nag-improve na raw equipment, pero di namin mapatunayan kasi nga di naman sila madalas magpost ng videos nila.

Gusto kong magpalit pero nagbigay na kami ng 50% downpayment. Sayang lang if ever we switched to another videogprapher. We have no choice but to trust the one that we have now.

Hmmmm... to those having 2nd thoughts with their viideographers and photographers. Perhaps pwede nalang pakiusapan na i-convert nalang yung downpayment to a pre-nup shoot? Para di masayang? Just an idea.

^This is a good option too. You just need to talk with the supplier lalo na kapag may contract na and nakaset na yung mga details dun. They could just flat out say na hindi pwede or you both could compromise. Yung sakin ang nangyari is inallow nya na di ko na kunin yung STD package (20k) pero binalik nya yung free na otf before (5k). So in effect ang nabawas ay 15k instead of 20k which was what I was expecting. Medyo naupset pa nga ako sa pagbalik nya ng otf dahil parehas naman kmi na from the south kaya nga wala na nun in the first place. Ang reason nya kasi yung ibang crew nya is mga taga manila pa daw. Does that follow ba? Ang basis nun is yung office ng lead ng team diba? So sa lahat ng mga south suppliers ko sya lang may otf. Niletgo ko na lang kasi naisip ko not her fault naman na ako yung may pinapabago sa contract and I don't want magkabad vibes kami kasi sila pa rin naman ang supplier namin for the actual wedding video. But then narealize ko rin na ang taas pala ng nirequire nya na dp smin which was 16,800 tapos nung nagiinquire na ko sa iba mostly 10kyung sa kanila.. Oh well..

We changed our videographer din and we let go of DP amounting to 10k. For the same reason na nagbago kami ng taste and ayaw na namin ng style nya. His STD amounts to 15k kaso hindi na rin namin inavail nung kinancel namin.

You can negotiate pag pumayag sila to convert the DP amount to prenup service na lang para di masayang.

But siguro--- if you have doubts about your photographer or videographer better to let go of DP nalang? One of the best decisions I ever made was to change my videographer.  Hehe now when I look at the latest SDEs of the videographer I cancelled parang baduy na baduy ako sa gawa nila hehe. Buti nalang talaga or I would have forever regretted it siguro.

Hello sis yinandyang, if you have doubt with your P/V, I suggest to let go of your DP. I did that. 22k ang DP namin but I still changed kasi nakakatakot. hehe. Mas malaking loss yung magbabayad ka ng malaki tapos hindi ka matutuwa sa output compared to your 10k DP. Iba kasi yung peace of mind pag confident ka sa suppliers mo. P/V is one of the most important suppliers for me kasi yun talaga yung souvenir namin after the wedding, kaya when we started having doubts, nagpalit kami. Now, I'm happy with my P/V team. Ni ayokong magbigay ng input kasi super gusto ko na yung outputs nila, I want them to do what they usually do. Everytime I watch a new video and look at sets of photos, I feel at peace knowing that these people are going to cover my wedding. Ni hindi ko na naiisip ang 22k na ni-let go ko.

^^Ohh now I remember! You did change nga pala your Videographer sis MS_JanDel and 22k is di birong amount to let go.. Ang pinabawas ko sa videographer ko is yung included na STD sa package kasi nga nanghihinayang ako sa 16,800 na dp if I cancel altogether. But when we started talking about this dito sa thread nagmunimuni na ko and even talked to H2b about it and same yung sinabi nya sakin na kung yung output di ko na nagugustuhan better to let go of the dp kaysa pagsisihan ko pa kasi di na mababalik yung moment.. Hmmm I have a lot thinking to do..

So we've finally decided to change our videographer. I have no bad comments about the former, narealize ko lang na nung binook namin sya di pa ko masyado nakakapagresearch ng ibang suppliers and I just booked the first one that I liked. I think nung naimmerse na ako sa wedding preps and naintroduce pa sa mga works ng iba dun ko nafeel na parang nagbago na yung preference and style na gusto ko. I guess there's a fine line between booking too early and too late hehe. You really need to be sure and also take your time while listening to your gut feel.

I'd also like to share some thoughts on contracts especially when it comes to Photo and Video. Sa lahat ng mga wedding suppliers, these two, sila yung may matitira pang deliverables sa atin after the wedding. They do post edit processes pa kasi bago nila matapos yung final product, so a span of ilang months pa bago nila mabigay. Natuwa kasi ako dun sa videographer namin nung dinidiscuss yung contract and payment terms nya. Of course he required a downpayment to reserve, what he didn't require is the remaining balance to be fully paid on the day of the wedding. May remaining 15% pa na babayaran lang namin once nadeliver na nya yung last of the product included in our package, which he said would take him mga 4mos from the day of the wedding pa to prepare and do. I think mas fair yung ganun kasi nga naman technically, hindi pa tapos yung service nila satin so bakit required na tayo bayaran sila ng full? Most of the contracts kasi ng photo and video gusto fully paid ka na by the end of the wedding day maski may mga deliverables pa sila satin. I think future brides and grooms could start insisting on changing the terms of payment na ganito para na din sa added protection natin as clients..

I agree sis Ziyi! Finally may peace of mind ka na at nabook mo na talaga yung gusto mo. Yay!!! Tsaka agree ako sa contract na dapat ang final payment once tapos na yung deliverables kaso sa mga contracts nila ang final payment ay otd ng wedding.

May ganyan din ako during preps nag-iiba yung gusto pero at the end of the day mananaig talaga kung san kami magiging happy, so far super happy naman kami. Mahirap lang din pag hot date kasi magiging limited ang options like what happened to us.
