Make Up Gurus (Thread 3)

Sisses I made this thread kasi wala akong makitang Thread 3, hope this is not a duplicate...

Anyway, the very first make up guru I subscribed to on YT was Michelle Phan, kaso boring na vid nya ngayon and parang di na laging updated.

For local gurus, I follow Anna Cay and Michelle Dy.

Love ko si Michelle kasi tawang tawa ko sa kanya at sa mga mamshies nya. Nabo-bother lang ako sa uber sexy pics nya sa IG kasi pag sa YT parang ang wholesome nya, haha

Si Anna Cay may nag suggest lang sa akin to watch her vids. Nung una di ko siya like but as I watched more of her vids, ok naman pala. Also, ang RK ni Ateh, grabe! Hahaha

^I'm not sure pero I have a strong feeling na si MD nga yun.

I think insecure/threatened si MD kay Anna. Medyo pa-sosy kasi si M, based sa videos nya it's like she wants to give the impression na she's well off. Unlike Anna na hindi na kailangan mag show off. Natural and makikita mo na RK talaga sya.

And good quality videos pa napoproduce ni Anna. Imagine in a short span of time,  ang dami nang subbies ni Anna.

Ayun lang naman. May attitude talaga si MD na di ko mawari hehe. I don't mean to bash, stating lang my observations.

Try watching RaiTries as well.  Medyo konti pa lang videos niya, but I would say I really liked those that I have seen.  I like her reviews and the way she talks is very clear and sincere as well.

I love love purpleheiress (isha), michelle dy and anna cay.

It's sad naman if may ganoon issue kasi parehas ko sila gusto what made anna cay so lovable is that she is so humble and simple kahit na makikita mong ang yaman nila. I love her vlogs too especially nung nagtravel sila kasi magninong ang tatay niya sa kasal ang simple lang nila.

Michelle Dy i love her di ako naartehan sa kanya kumbaga di siya TH magsalita maganda pakinggan pag nageenglish siya di nakakairita. Si say kasi (sorry na sa fans) gusto na dumugo ng tenga ko pag nagsasalita siya plus nothing new to offer paulit ulit.

Purpleheiress maganda at magaling din naman natutuwa ako vlogs at tutorials niya.

Stopped watching anneclutz and never liked say sobrang arte.

Bago ko pinapanood si raiza contawi humble din at walang kaere ere kahit na kita mo may kaya sila. Ok din naman vids niya.

@hann-hann dati kasi nag post si Anna sa FB na a "known local Youtuber" messaged her, said some things ata to discourage her from pursuing her YouTube career. Buti hindi nagpatinag si Anna.  And almost lahat ng kilala kong local Youtuber (Say, Anne Clutz, Ana Victorino, Kris Lumagui din ata among others), nagcomment sa post ni Anna to show their support for Anna. Si Michelle hindi kasama dun sa mga nag comment to show their support.

I don't like Say either. There's something in the way she talks. Parang kinakain yung words, and her voice is kind of annoying too. Grammar is off, sobrang arte and OA trying hard na maging Kris Aquino, and no talent at all (except for doing winged liner, gotta give it to Say, on fleek palagi eyeliner nya) In doing makeup. Kahit reviews nya, wala akong mapulot kundi "I really like it" or "it's awesome" or "this is one of the best (insert kind of makeup here) I have tried". Pero i gotta admit masipag talaga sya mag film and edit. Consistent sya pagdating sa filming and uploading.  I guess need lang nya mag take ng workshops to improve her content and makeup skills (I find it ironic na she holds workshops of her own, when she herself lacks the talent and creativity :/)

I used to like Anne Clutz kasi parang down to earth and very friendly. Not very skilled when iy comes to makeup pero ok sya dati when it comes to reviews. pero lately puro na lang sponsored products and alam mong biased ang "review". She tries na magbigay ng negative points pero biglang may pambawi to urge viewers to buy the product anyway.

Michelle Dy - okay ang sense of humor nya. I actually enjoyed her Makeup Serye coz nakakatawa naman talaga. pero ayun mukhang may attitude problem talaga sya. GGSS and trying hard mag mukhang Alta and sosyal (which is why I believe insecure and sobrang threatened sya kay Anna Cay) and kulang na lang mag post ng nude picture on IG. Trying hard to sound smart on social media re: politics pero pag may nag correct sa kanya, hihingi ng tulong sa "fans" nya na ipagtanggol sya. And she's the only Youtuber I know that shamelessly calls her viewers na "fans ko"

Some of the local Youtuber that I like:
Anna Cay - I love her videos. She's my favorite. You can tell na she's doing YT videos coz she likes it, not just for money and free stuff (unlike allll the other local Youtubers aside from Mimi). And her Makeup is always on point. So far the best when it comes to putting on makeup.

Mimi (Coffee and Sparkle) - another local Youtuber who produces quality videos. I like na she doesn't rely on sponsorships.

Kris Lumagui - I like her, alam mong may talent although sometimes her foundation appears cakey

Raiza Contawi - another talented girl on YT. She can do other people's makeup really well, not just her own. I love her pet Spike too! :-)

Shebby - she can do her own makeup pretty well, pero pag sa ibang tao na...meh. sometimes I think she doesn't really hsve the skill to call herself a MUA. She just happens to have a pretty face so kahit anong gawin nya sa face nya, maganda pa din. She deletes her old videos and pictures though. I don't know why. Does she hate looking at how she looked before? Chubby pero still the prettiest local guru in my opinion even then. I hear she edits her photos on IG to make herself look slimmer. Sa isang medyo recent vlog kasi ni Say, kita na chubby pa din sya.  Pero sa recent pictures nya on IG sobrang payat.

Ana Victorino - isa pang may talent pero she doesn't upload as often as the others

I super like Anna Cay. She's my FAVORITE. RK kung RK siya. Pero hindi mo mafefeel na she's bragging her things, parang friend mo na nagkwkwento lang ng latest niyang nabili.. and she's super simple, humble and down to earth.. unlike ( sorry sa mga fans ni Michelle Dy, though I like her too "before", masyado na siyang maERE, tsaka kulang na lang maghubad na siya sa mga pictures niya sa IG, may rumors din eh na nagpaboob job siya, I remember I watched one of her vlogs, parang launching ng isang company and nainvite siya, eh may mga nakasalubong sa kanya na di siya kilala, parang ang dating ng pagkakasabi niya ayy bakit di ako kilala ng mga to taga saang lupalop sila?) Grabe naman if it's true na she bullied Anna Cay, for what naman kaya? Mambully siya kung perfect siya and super ganda niya eh mukha naman siyang Caricature sa laki and lapad ng face niya tapos ang liit niya. Embyerna. and SAY TIOCO.. My God this girl, mema masyado, memapost lang, memakita lang kahit super non sense na ng mga sinasabi niya and vloggs niya!! ugh!! HAHA. and there's something with the way she talks, haha. nakakairita yung bungaga niya.

We sound like bashers tuloy. Pero true naman. I know that part, yan yung sa Smart launchpad. Hindi matanggap ni Michelle na walang nakakakilala sa kanya. Expecting ata si atey na dumugin sya, kaso wala. Haha. Mga musicians ata kasi yung nasa workshop na yun, so hindi sya talaga kilala

And yep same observation kay Say. Some people used to comment din on her vlogs na there's something with her mouth, maybe dahil sa teeth nya. She used to have really bad teeth, she got braces,  Medyo umayon pero she still has that underbite kaya siguro parang hirap sya mag speak. Hindi gumagalaw yung upper lip nya, baka nasanay In hiding her teeth. Insecurity kasi nya yun before

Anyway baka ma ban pa ako hehe. No offense just stating our observations.

Positive side naman ni Say is that she's masipag and kahit maarte, she appears to be quite friendly naman. Michelle Dy, ayun ok naman sense of humor. In fairness napapatawa nya ako esp if kasama nya yung 2 beki friends nya :p

I guess normal lang naman siguro yung may ugali, lahat naman tayo may nega side. Yun lang medyo sort of public figure sila so mas napupuna

My co-worker likes anna clutz, hopefully she can try our place    She looks and sounds natural compared to others i have watched doing tutorials.  Over use of words "pak na pak" ewan lang if patok 'to for others.

Si Anna Cay na lang ang pinapanood kong local YouTuber ngayon. Nakakatuwa kasi gumagastos pa rin sya minsan tuloy nadodoble pag pinapadalhan sya ng mga brands pero ang maganda nauuna yung unbiased reviews nya kasi nga binili nya na yung products bago pa sya padalhan ng sponsors.

Si Michelle Dy parang gustong magpost sa FHM. Yung videos na lang nya with her becky friends ang gusto ko.

Sa mga local Youtuber "Make Up Gurus" uso ata yung nagmahal, nasaktan, hala halos ilabas na ang "you know what"  Medyo naloloka na ako sa mga pictures lalo na yung sa mga Instagram accounts nila, kasi ni walang bahid ng tubig o ano pa man pero two piece kung two piece talaga or sa mga events pupunta pero yung suot.

Loyal ako ngayon sa uploads ni Anna Cay and Kris Lumagui (kaso minsan sa video ni Kris gusto ko na talaga punasan ang ilong niya kasi oily)

I love Anna Cay too because of her simplicity and being down-to-earth. She seems to be a well-raised lady. And the quality of her videos keeps on getting better din because she invests in really good equipment.

Im also subscribed to Michelle Dy and like you mga sis, medyo confused din ako sa gusto niyang image. Sa YT kasi she seems wholesome then pagdating sa IG iba naman. A lot of young girls look up to her pa naman (based sa nakitang kong meet and greet niya before). But Im still following her kasi curious din ako sa career path niya.

Kris Lumagui okay siya natatawa ako sa vid niya yung sa etude house pero magaling ah talaga test kung test talaga haha.

I love her divi hauls.

Si candyheart uhm joyce ata name niya ang pinapanood ko lang hauls niya di masyado sa makeup.

Nakita ko short clip nung meet and greet ni anneclutz grabe haha dami fans. Kahit na di na ako nanonood ng vids niya still happy ako sa achievement niya.

Right now Anna Cay na lang din ang consistent kong pinapanuod.  Ewan ko ba at na-hook ako sa vlogs nya.  Nakakatuwa kase wala akong mapunang nagmamayabang sya when in fact they are really rich.  And she knows din her limit, and tries to improve herself - I remember she enrolled in a makeup class ba yun kase she said marunong sya mag-makeup sa sarili niya, pero gusto niya matuto na mag-makeup ng ibang tao.  I like how she shares kung ano ano natututunan niya.

Like ko din si Michelle Dy, but I prefer yung mga old vids niya.  Parang may something different na sa kanya ngayon, like she is not being herself ba.  Basta di ko ma-point out kung ano.  Pero mukhang rich kid din naman itong sina Michelle noh?

Kay Say, nung una pa lang di ko na matagalan vlogs and makeup tutorials nya.  So I tried visiting her channel again baka naman magustuhan ko na this time.  Pero waley pa rin haha! Di ko lang siguro type.

Anna Victorino naman I love her makeup tutorials, and the way she talks.  Natural lang sya pagnag-English, hindi TH.  yun nga lang, di sya madalas mag-upload.

I will try to see the channels ng mga minention niyo dito baka magustuhan ko din.

I like Michelle Dy, pero parang lately wala ng sense mga vlogs niya.  agree na super sexy mga post niya sa IG. sabi nga namin ng friends ko, medyo may kaharutan 

ayoko na make up guru yung Kristine Roces-real asian beauty. I don't want to be mean, pero para sa akin kasi wala siya karapatan, hinde credible yung itsura niya #sorrynotsorry. Feeling yung dating. tas nakabraces pa, parang lalong trying hard ang dating niya.

Its not about the looks naman kasi, in fairness naman magaganda naman ang videos ni Realasianbeauty, do you guys know graveyardgirl? Hindi siya sing ganda nila Kathleen Lights or Jacklyn Hill pero nakipag collaborate sa kanya ang Too Faced to make new Palettes... kaya lets not be judgmental na lang when it comes to physical features... its really unbecoming

Nagbago image ni MD after nung break up nila ng boyfriend niya, or dahil may BF siya dati madaming bawal? Kakaiba yung IG niya. Very different nga sa uploads niya. Pero wala akong masabi, ang kinis talaga niya.
