Just an opinion, mas okay kung hire ka na lang ng full coordinator para talagang macheck mo yung mga suppliers sa wedding mo kung pasok sa taste mo, pag kasi package, wala kang magagawa kung ano lang kaya nila ideliver sa budget na binigay mo yung lang. Pero nasa sayo pa din naman yun kung gusto mo talaga ng less hassle lang talaga.

I'm an overseas bride din kaya medyo nakakaloka magscout for suppliers.

Currently in works to book Malate Church. Available pa sana yung dates na gusto ko sa Manila Cathedral kaso its way over our budget.

Eyeing on La Castellana as my wedding reception din because of their reasonable package with nice freebies din. Any comments on La Castellana?

Garden Wedding sana sa intramuros kaso unpredictable yung weather lalo na july.

Overseas bride din ako, our wedding date is on Aug 2018. Kelan ang date ng wedding mo?

What I have learned so far sa wedding preps is that mahirap kumuha ng all-in package, cause they can make or break your whole wedding. Better to look for suppliers on your own or with the help of a trusted coordinator. Madaming info here sa girl talk that can help you find the suppliers that you need.

We have decided to be hands-on sa preps so we only hired an OTD coordinator, we have already booked him just so he can guide since unlimited consultations naman. So far ang mga nakuha namin based on our own research is P/V, Church, Venue and Caterer.

We read a lot of supplier reviews, watch SDEs, join online bridal fairs... madami nang ways to plan your wedding even if wala ka sa Pinas physically.  You can also join other online communities.

sis hersainess same tayo hands-on sa preps so far di pa ako nasstress kasi july 2018 pa naman. Iniisip ko lang talaga is yung tungkol sa gown pano yung fitting yun since I will only be able to go back sa pinas 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

ask ko lang sis may alam kang online bridal fair?? wala akong clue na may ganun na pala.

And sa mga manila brides gano kaaga nyo binobook yung bridal and entou gowns and flower?

^same tayo sis!! 2 weeks before the wedding din ang uwi ko next year. Kaya hindi ko rin alam kung anong gagawin. though I know someone na pinadala sa kanya yung gown without the embellishments muna. Parang dummy gown para lang masukat kung tama yung length and fit. Then sinend back nya sa Pinas. Sagot mo nga lang ang shipping kapag ganon. Or pwede ring sa abroad ka na bumili ng gown, kaso baka mas mahal.

Church and OTD pa lang ang na-book namin. We plan to book the rest in December pag nasa Pinas kami. But I already inquired sa mga prospects namin.

Hi! Newbie here and newly engaged. We are planning for a December 2018 wedding. Do you think a 500k budget would be enough? So far, I've only inquired for a venue and catering package, and the most affordable package would already cost about 320k for 200pax. Will 180k be enough for all the other requirements, i.e. gowns, barongs, photographer, videographer, etc?

^suggestion ko sis mag-inquire ka pa sa ibang caterer + venue package, if may cheaper pa. marami pa kasing dadagdag na kelangan na hindi mo mafoforesee! haha. speaking from my own experience.

^ hi sis goca0908! I suggest do your research. GirlTalk has been very helpful kasi malalaman mo kung sinong suppliers and dapat mo I-avoid and kung sino ang most recommended that will fit your budget.
May date na ba kayo ng wedding?
You list down kung saan nyo gusto magpakasal, manila or destination ba? Church, garden or beach? If church, gusto nyo ba ng air-conditioned or okay lang na hindi? Ilan ang approximate number of guests nyo?
Pag nakapag-book na kayo ng church, everything will follow na. 
What I did was I booked the church then my OTD coordinator. Since we have 1 year and 11 months pa to prepare, basa-basa muna ng reviews.

I'm an overseas bride, I've booked most of our suppliers myself and only got OTD coordinator. I would say research is the key and this forum has helped me big time! I wouldn't have known which supplier to get.. reading supplier reviews help a lot as well.

February 2018 bride here pero hindi ko na kinaya ang planning. Busy kasi sa work and parang demanding sa time ang pamimili ng mga suppliers. Hello fellow South B2B!! Grabe ang hirap maghanap ng reception sa South no, puro hotels kasi. Ito options namin for now:
- Hampton Court (Hillsborough)
- Tribeca - now East Bay Residences
- Versailles Palace

Booked na kasi kami sa catering so as much as possible, umiiwas kami dun sa mga in-house caterers lang.

^regina.phalange - Hello there sis! Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to GT!  First may I know where are you planning to get married? Is it in the Metro or destination wedding? Kasi if its destination wedding you'll have to consider the Out of town fee expense pa of the suppliers that you'll be getting not unless iwaive nila yon (Tip: Usually sa bridal fair Freebies plus waived OTF). I'll have a destination wedding in Tagaytay on March 2018 and as of now hindi pa tapos yung mga ibobook namin na suppliers and were already at 550K it can go higher pa, sad to say. Pero sana hindi na lumagpas ng 600K. Goodluck sis! Kaya mo yan Start with booking the church first and everything else will follow na.
