Hi mga sis!
2017 bride here as well. Pero now pa lang feeling ko ang lapit na!
Currently looking for P/V suppliers, ang hirap mag decide!
Has anyone heard of NQ Modern Photo? Ok ba sila?
Tska mas ok ba kung iba pa supplier mo sa Video or better na isa lang for Photo and Video?
Fear ko baka magkaiba approach nila and hindi magmatch vibe nung pictures and video.

^It depends sis. Kung yung venue at church mo e common tas may tinatawag din silang "hot date" yun yung mga date na madaming kinakasal plus factor din na weekend. So if this is the case, it is encouraged na a year before yung booking ng venue and church para makuha mo yung slot na gusto mo ☺️

I'm an August 2017 bride but we're starting to book suppliers already to reserve our date. I suggest you book the major suppliers as early as now to reserve your date and maybe price lock na din (if applicable).

Major ones are the church, reception venue, caterer (especially if in-demand ang napili ninyo), coordinator (if applicable and if in-demand din sila), photographer and videographer (especially the good ones, madali sila ma-book).

The dress, if intricate ang design, best is a year preparation lalo na if in-demand din yung designer na napili mo.

Ang stressful when you start planning next year then lahat ng gusto ninyo na suppliers are already booked on your chosen date.

The rest, you can start early next year na.

^Sis I'm a July 2017 bride and we have started bookingsuppliers too. book early sis or mapapamahal kayo. Meron kasi suppliers na pagmalapit na yung event, jinajack up din nila yung prices.

Mga sis matagal ba talaga magreply si Inah? Hindi pa din niya ako binibigyan ng quote auntil now. huhuh

Kami we didn't hire a florist na sa church kasi may kasama ng flowers yung sa church.. Parang naisip ko din na maganda na naman yung church even without decor kaya di ko na din inisip pa.

If August 2017 yung wedding ok lang siguro to start na kasi less than a year na lang, ang importante major suppliers (Church, Venue, Caterer, OTD, P/V) kasi super diyan kami nahirapan. Ang kinaiba lang lean season ang July-Aug kaya I think di masyado mahirap humanap ng ok na suppliers. Kami kasi super hot date Jan 7, 2017 kaya naikot namin metro manila kakahanap ng church at venue! Hahaha :p

^Sis 1k lang kasi yung church namin, walang kasama kahit ano.. tee hee!.. Minimalist lang din design namin sa church kasi ang ganda ganda niya at ayaw ko matakpan yung altar. heheeh

Wow sis ang mura nga. Kaya ok lang to spend a little na sa flowers for the church. Yup ok na yung minimal lang flowers kasi maganda na yung church! Mas ok na mag focus ang tao sa ganda ng simbahan kesa sa bonggang floral arrangements. Dito sa Manila ang mamahal ng simbahan halos 25k minimum.

haaays. well, mukha nga namang hindi peak season ang august. sana lang hindi kami mahirapan magbook by january. pero honestly, gusto ko sana feb, july or november because special samin mga months na yan. also, okay lang din naman sakin na weekday. so, hindi din talaga hot date target namin. so ako, hoping lang talaga na hindi maheartbroken sa mga targeted suppliers namin.

anyway, pano nyo ba nasasabi na nagstart na kayo ng prep? sa unang booked supplier ba? or as long as naguusap na kayo about the wedding? kami naman kasi, sinabihan lang ako ni h2b na kung pwede january na kami magplan. ayaw ko din kasi na mapressure sya lalo na kung shoulder naman nya most of the gastusin. hihi. tinanong ko naman na sya kung civil ba or church wedding, church daw ang gusto nya. bakit daw civil pa. tapos sinabi ko na din na ayaw ko marush ang preparation, hindi din sa province namin and hindi din sa kanila. sabi ko sa malayo para makatipid kami. hehe. so far, nagaaggree naman kami sa gusto at ayaw ng isa't isa. hehe. baka kasi nasa isip ni h2b na once nagstart na ng planning, gastos and stress na yun. hehe. for me kasi, kahit usap usap muna. hihi.

Both kasi kailangan niyo talagang pag usapan yung budget, details, saan, kelan, and sino ang mga kukuhanin niyong suppliers tsaka ang susunod shempre mag book, walk-in, attend bridal fairs, meeting with the suppliers -- eto na yung major preps na talaga.

Kami din sa start nung engagement, we were overwhelmed dahil lahat expensive pero God will provide talaga.. Kaya better to start early para yung wedding savings niyo lumalago, unless you already have wedding savings kahit late na kayo mag book. Yun nga lang pag late na mag book i-expect niyo din na most of the suppliers di na available pero since di naman peak yung target date niyo most likely ok pa sila. Kahit inquire-inquire ka lang muna sis kung how much etc. para din magka idea ka na as early as now.

sis pretty_B, kami ng h2b ko, naguusap na kami ng wedding stuff bago pa kami maengage. Hahaha pinaguusapan na kasi namin yung budget that time. Hindi pa kami nagsscout ng kahit anong suppliers nun. Then nung na-engage na, dun na talaga nagstart. Wedding ko is Nov 2017 pa and nakapagpareserve na kami ng venue and church last month lang. Initially we wanted a December wedding kaso as early as June, booked na yung gusto naming date/s sa Dec dun sa venue! Kaya we opted for a Nov wedding na lang.

I suggest na ipareserve mo muna yung church and venue mo to be safe lang. Kung hindi naman peak yung date niyo o kaya weekday, baka pwede pa na sa January kayo magstart magbook

YES sis super mura niya! kaya bishop ang kukunin namin to officiate tsaka magspend kami ng onti sa flowers. Sis meron nga ako nakita 30k sa Manila tapos basic flowers lang kasama. heheeh..

^^^^maybe as early as now mag-research-research ka na kung ano ok sa inyo na location of church and venue (dapat malapit sila sa isa't isa para hindi ma-hassle sa traffic), coordinator and photographer.  Then come January, saka kayo mag-book.  By that time, alam na ninyo yung sino ang ibo-book and how much ang rates nila para makagawa ka ng budgetary estimate.  Pagdating ng January, ready na kayo.

It took me months to do my research about the church, venue, coordinator, photographer, wedding designer and others kasi may work din ako.  I researched about their current rates, reviews from forums and facebook.  I made a list of suppliers na gusto ko and mga suppliers na ayaw ko especially yung may mga bad reviews.  Try to back read also para maiwasan mo yung mga sakit sa ulo na suppliers.  Collect inspirations online for the decors, table setting, color scheme and dress designs para you can show it to your suppliers pagdating ng next year.  These will help them understand your vision.

We got engaged last January at August lang kami nag-book ng coordinator and now church and venue.  From January to July, puro research lang ginawa ko kaya now organized ang files ko for the wedding

^grabe akala ko ako lang may problem sa quotation na binibigay. Minsan nalulula ako eh! Haha! Sabi rin samin ng church coordinator mas maganda simple na decoration sa chapel namin. May marerecommend ba kayo na okay for church styling? 😊 Not too pricey please!! Hehe. Thank you mga sis!

sis @miloteeherndz, lahat ng supplier ko taga-antipolo, except kay florist, taga-dangwa sya pero ni-waived na nya yung oot fee. hehe
Pero may mga kulang pa ko. ano pa ba mga kulang mong supplier?

Yes sis. He's actually friends with h2b. Sabi nya check out ko daw yung work ni Loel if magugustuhan ko. What i love about his work is he's got an amazing eye for beauty. Not that he's friends with h2b, pero nakita ko sa work nya yung type of photos that i want to have. Haven't met him yet tho, nakausap ko lang sya a few times and mabait sya sis. I referred him to a friend who's also getting married this march and nagustuhan din nila si Loel. Sya talaga yung personal na nakipag kita sa friend ko so i think he's very hands on naman ☺️

tama kayo sisters. ganyan din talaga balak kong gawin sa mga nagawa nyo. planning, budgeting and researching muna for months tipong wala munang ilalabas na money para when we go out for scouting ng place and meeting up with suppliers, saka lang kami maglalabas. though nagreresearch research na ako months ago pa, then august ko lang naopen kay h2b na nagbabasa basa na nga ako (pasikreto kasi ako haha). ayaw ko lang mapush masyado si h2b pero titimingan ko iopen ulit sakanya na we need to sit down (at least) for the planning. panay usapan na casual palang kami eh. hihi. baka kasi for him masyado lang akong oa sa pagpaplano. mejo oc kasi ako sa planning. cant help it. hehe.
