hi! i just wanna ask what supporting documents are needed when applying for a new passport? i'm a grad student so all I have is my school id, old college id, college TOR, and birth cert. Will that be fine? Thanks in advance!

did the DFA appointment earlier at nagulat ako na PAYMENT IS A MUST before a confirmed appointment. no more option na pay sa DFA center itself. sayang P50 na conveniece fee. 

oh well, goodbye sa joy reservers (and agencies)!  dami na ulit slots.

^^sa website ng DFA may list ng supporting documents but during my time, i also brought the following:
diploma
NBI clearance
SSS E1 or E6 form ( basta yung form na binibigay pag kukuha ka ng ID)
Postal ID
Alumni ID

^sis, pansin ko din yan. bye-bye minimum 1k na ba in case mag-no show ka? or pwede pa rin na i-rebook? di ko kasi napansin sa terms and conditions, basta ang naalala ko is non-refundable.

^Sis palagay ko ok lang yan. Sa amin naman minor niece ko (above 7yrs old) siya may sked sa dfa tapos mom niya wala. Pumayag ang dfa na isabay na ang mom niya maski walang appointment. Di na daw need pa-sked ng nanay.

Kakarenew ko lang ng passport ko ngayon. Grabe ang bilis lang ng process. Wala pa ata akong 30 minutes sa DFA. And ang kinuhang requirements lang sakin ay yung photocopy lang ng passport ko. Very efficient.

my passport( renewed) was delivered last friday. Unfortunately, my daughter spilled milk on one of the pages. hindi naman soya drenched pero may marks. considered " mutilated" na ba yun? any idea how I can apply for a new one ?  may aka encounter na ba ng gannet ?  TIA

^According sa napanood ko dati kapag na-water damage or maski lukot ang passport considered na siya as mutilated and you have to re-apply as a new applicant. Pero nagiissue daw -ang DFA ng emergency passport ata tawag dun but im not sure kung applicable sa lahat ng situation yan or depende kung talagang pang-emergency situation lang. Call DFA na din sis para sure.

hello mga sis! may travel kami ng husband ko sa Singapore this coming third week of oct 2018. without realizing earlier, mag expire na pala yung passport nya sa first week ng may 2019. medyo worried lang ako sa 6-month validity rule. pasok naman sa 6 months, nakakakaba lang kasi more than 6 pero less than 7. hehe. tingin nyo, mga sis? nag-check ako sched sa dfa for renewal, full na gang oct e.

^Pasok yan sis. Anglaki pa nga ng leeway. Magstart ka magcount from nov. Ako nga dati sa macau marginal eh. Hehe. Pero niremind ko ng IO nung return trip ko na magrenew na the soonest na makabalik sa pinas. 😊

for your peace of mind, pa-renew na lang cia ng passport. check kayo every day and every hour. hehe! may mag-o-open din na slots for sure. abang-abang lang kayo. but if i were u, gora pa rin using my more than 6 months but less than 7 months validity passport. eh di magbilang sila (I.O. and airline ground steward) para ma-prove na pasok sa 6-month rule ang passport ni husband mo. hehe!

will be in SG also next month and i still don't have accommodation booking.

thank you, mga sis, sa pag-reply. medyo worried nga ako e. hehe. i'll try to check kung may mag-open. pero kung wala talaga, sana all will turn out fine.

Has anybody tried bringing a white board or reflective foil during passport renewal to have a good photo?  I'm thinking of bringing a white folder to act as a reflective surface to brighten my face.  I'm not sure though if this will be effective.  10 years na and validity ng passport.  I want the best photo taken

Hi sis! I never saw someone who brought anything that can help to enhance their looks in their passport photo. I just renewed my passport last month and as compare with my renewal 5 years ago, from 1:1 assignment (1 dfa personnel is to 1 applicant) it is now 1 :3 (3 applicants). i was assigned to a woman who does not allow another take of pic for as long the requirements were met. My suggestion is, ensure to be assigned to a male personnel especially the one na medyo payat coz i heard he allow the applicants to have 3 shots and choose the one they like.
