Makakakuha kaya ng passport yung helper namin kahit may problem sa birth certificate niya? Yung first and middle name niya kasi mali pero may affidavit naman. Or we have to fix her birth certificate first?

^you have to fix the birth cert first kasi kaya nga yung original birth cert ang requirement to prove na yun talaga ang totoong name ng applicant and valid ids to support the identity. Yung mga i present na docs dapat same lahat ng name dun. kung may isa dun mali kailangan ayusin muna.

^^ need niya paayos yun sa local civil registry office/ municipality kung saan siya pinanganak. that's what we did sa birth certificate ko. mali yung spelling ng first name ko, middle and last names ng father ko. sobrang hassle. i had to submit documents/IDs from school showing my real name. ang haba tuloy ng annotation sa birth certificate ko dahil sa corrections na yun. it also took some time bago nagreflect sa birth cert ko sa PSA.

hingi na lang helper mo ng supplemental report then ipasa sa DFA along with her IDs. check na rin niya na tama yung place of birth/date of birth para maayos na lahat in case. dinala ko lahat ng papers associated with my request sa LCR before pero hindi naman hiningi ng DFA employee since maayos na yung pinasa kong certificate.

around 1k din yata yung amount na nagastos namin kasi it was back in 2009 pa. a few years ago inoffer na free yan ng government. not sure now.

^^Free na siya pero gagastos ka pa din sa mga docs na need ninyo iprovide. And medyo mahabang proseso. Nakailang balik din mom ko sa Manila City Hall dahil sa birth cert ko. Once na maipasa na lahat ng docs and matapos interview you need to wait for atleast 6mos. Yung sa akin 3mos lang naayos na. Di naman babaguhin yung entry sa birth cert, may annotation lang sa baba ng correct spelling ng name.

^ true. haba ng annotation sa birth certificate ko. yung aunt ko naglakad sa rizal province kasi ang layo ng house namin. kumuha siya ng original copy ng birth certificate ko sa LCR so dun namin nakita na yung pinasa sa kanila tama lahat ng spelling. yung pinadala nila sa NSO that time ang mali-mali na kasi handwritten. nakakainis. tayo yung gumastos at nahassle dahil sa errors ng ibang tao.  dinala ko lahat ng documents na yun sa DFA last friday in case but good thing hindi na ako hinanapan aside from the PSA birth cert, marriage cert and UMID.

Thank you sa replies nyo. Tingin ko nga din error ng ibang tao yung nangyari sa birth cert ng helper namin kasi nagbali-baliktad lang yung letters eg. bREnda ---> bERnda  Sayang! Di muna tuloy siya makakasama sa trip namin this summer.

True. Yung sa akin nurse ng ospital may kasalanan. Pagkaayos na pagkaayos talaga ng birth certificate ko nagbook ako ng out of the country trip (nasakto piso fare pa nun) at kumuha ng passport. Yan birth cert ko talaga main reason bakit di ako maka-fly outside the Phils.

kaka renew ko lang ng passport last april 4 may appointment is 3-4pm, mahigpit sila saktong 3pm pwede pumasok, konti lang ang tao sa loob less than 100 lang siguro kame. mabilis lang dun sa pag check ng docs since renewal ako photocopy of 2 valid id's and photocopy lang ng passport ang binigay ko plus the printed application form.

need to print yung isang form na may barcode nila which i didn't do kasi hindi ko alam kaya nag hanap pa ako computer shop na malapit pero buti na lang meron and mabilis lang less than 5mins. i'm done na. dun sa pag picture medyo tumatagal ng konti. siguro all in all 45-1hour inabot. organized sila and may mga chairs so yung mga pila naka upo naman lahat.

ang dami na talagang kumukuha ng passport. 5 years ago nung sinamahan ko son ko kame lang ang tao sa loob by appointment din yun. pag dating kame na agad kasi walang ibang kumukuha. within 15mins. tapos na kame sa lahat.

pag nagrenew ng passport, pwede ba irequest na hindi butasan yung passport kasi gagamitin pa? ilang days ba bago makuha?

^pwede, upon pick-up ng new passport na nila bubutasan yung luma. May express at regular processing po.

You mean, sis, yung appointment ngayon, July na lang may available na slots? Akala ko nagdagdag na sila ng slots for passport appointment?

I mean sis wala pang open na July onwards na slot

Hi. I will be renewing expired passport but I don't have any valid ID. Will they allow me even if I only have my old (expired) passport plus photocopy? TIA

just got our passports. not bad. we applied on march 23. we didn't choose yung rush processing. accurate naman lahat ng details. yehey! ready to travel.

FYI, pag magpaparenew pala ng passport ng maaga, need pa ng letter explaining bakit magrerenew and mag-ask pa ng approval sa supervisor nila. Pero sabi ni hubby, wala naman dun sa website nila na may ganung requirement, so pinaphotocopy na lang sa kaniya yung last page (used page) ng passport niya. 2019 pa lang kasi yung tinatanggap nila na pwede magrenew. Natapos din niya within one hour (DFA South), nauna kasi yung mga nasa courtesy lane bago sila pinapasok.

Done na ko yesterday. Less than an hour lang the whole process. I brought other IDs na lang like TIN and Philhealth. Pero yun nga, ok na kahit [textspeak!] photocopy and original old passport lang. Thanks sis.
