^ I like and I agree with your insights. In the end, dapat sa Country ang loyalty natin not to any politicians.
I'm not anti-US. I love US actually. Ayokong maging dependent tayo as a country sa iisa lang or what.
Ito lang saakin I just don't think it is safe for the Philippines to abandon all ties with our old allies like the USA just for the sake of appeasing the Chinese who we have yet to see if they will deliver on their promises on a non aggressive stance.
Some people say wag tayo kampi Amerika kasi baka mang gera sila madamay tayo..
Eh paano kung kumampi na tayo ngayon sa China tapos China ang mag simula ng Gera..
I remember my History class the Japanese have a plan for Asians the Japanese believed they are the benevolent one and I think they are also sincere in their plans at first so in the late 1930s they envisioned this prosperous Asia for Asians and they want to drive away the Americans and British they said the Filipios are their lost brothers but they end up raping our women and starving our men to death and working them to death.
And they got two Atomic bombs for all their troubles.
But as you can see Prime Minister Abe is not bashing the Americans every chance he gets for the fire bombings and two attomic bombs which killed Hundreds of thousands of Women and Children.
Are the Americans benevolent no,are the Japanese no, the Chinese hhmn I think no. The Chinese could not even give their Citizens proper equality they put poison on their babies milk why would we think they will treat us any better?
A better question are we Filipinos benevolent maybe before we make relations with any country we should look at our selves as Nation and think why are we in this deep mess.
Actually the Chinese taking Islands from the Philippines is not the biggest threat we face.
We have the MILF,Abu Sayaff, former NPA in the cabinet positions that was appointed by press. Duterte, Mayors who are involved in Drug dealing, Nonoy Aquino who did not fix the power crisis and instead recommended that we use Generators in our offices and so on and so on.
Now look how divided our own people both sides are now threatening violence on social media, harassing the media, telling people they should get raped.
Weather we like it or not this is what is happening in our country right now look how some of the Duterte Supporters turned against Fidel Ramos calling him amboy, matandang ulol and what not, do they even know who is Fidel Ramos? He served in the Korean War defending democracy from the invading Chinese and North Korean Communist and now people are saying it is the United states fault that Korea is divided and that Ramos is a paid soldier for the Americans and that China are the good guys in the Korean war..
I mean China who supported the Kim Sung ill and family I mean do this people really believe that really?
If the USA is so bad why so many Filipinos have immigrated there and some even became successful oh they will say those Pinoys are traitors they hate being Filipino that is why they moved there they are treasonous.
Again do those people really believe that really? The very same people who put pressure on the US government to send more aid to the Philippines who sends half their salary to help their families here in the Philippines which eventually supports the economy here thru taxes and providing employment if they can set up a small business. And now they are the traitors?
So now who are those with crab mentality?
To be clear I don't hate the Chinese I actually admire them and all their accomplishments in the ancient times and Present, but we need to take into consideration that the current Chinese form of totalitarian government will not be a healthy model for the Philippines specially if we are going to bash our old partners in the region and our allies far away like the US and E.U.
I hope the Chinese comes to their senses now that Duterte has appeased them the Pressident is willing to cut ties with the US what more do they want? Now they say we can fish in our own territory but they will set the conditions.
Just my 2 cents....
