@LilaFowler: P60 is a very good deal if it includes gold foil and envelope liner.  All the ones I saw that quoted P60 a set were using very thin paper, and only plain print.

@exquisitegem: I'm not worried about them misplacing the invite, but more of forgetting about the date of the wedding if I give it too early. Most of the guests are Chinese, so they don't really RSVP haha.
Hoping my parents can give me their final invite list so that I can have the invitations printed early, or they can at least call their guests as a sort of "save the date"! Otherwise, I guess first week of Jan would be okay (hopefully!)

@princessshayera: HAHAHA! My friend complained about the same thing! Her parents wanted to invite so many guests, but they didn't even write the full names down. Some were even nicknames lol! The guestlist has been the most stressful part of wedding planning for me. My list is all sorted out, but getting the list from my parents is like pulling teeth.

^^ Sabi nya production cost lang daw yun. Di na din ako tumawad. When she said P60, I just wanted to make sure na kasama na yung foil etc doon.

Baka magpa print na din ako sa kanya ng missalette kasi parang nakakatamad mag put together ng booklet.

Mura na nga sis yung P100 including layout kasi if you go with ink scribblers or printsonalities, another 10k just to use an existing design. Tapos printing is 16k pa. Literally parang nagtatapon ng pera kasi we all know sa bin din ang uwi ng invitations eventually.

60 is good sis. Check mo nalang sis kung okay naman output nila. Tama ka sis, nakakatamad magayos ng booklet, istapler ko nalang yung akin kasi cover lang yung pinagawa ko sa missalette.hahaha

Oo nga sis eh. Nung una kasi tinanong niya kung ako na sa printing, eh naisip ko extra effort na naman yun maghahanap ako ng printing supplier eh siya may kakilala na. So ayun.Super mahal nga nung mga calligraphy, parang sayang money eh simple design lang naman gusto ko.

For me calligraphy isa sa pwede tipirin talaga kasi ang mahal! To think halos magkakamukha lang naman sila! Ang dami na fonts na free ngayon na modern calligraphy din! Just my opinion

Are we talking calligraphy for envelope addressing?

I downloaded na lang free calligraphy fonts and will print sa envelope. If you really want yung ink, print mo na lang in a light color then trace.

Yes and the one na nasa main invite na ginagamitan ng foil stamping. Modern calligraphy fonts na free online, madami na din and same lang yung ichura sa mga modern calligraphers. Pero of course if they know a calligrapher na mura lang ok lang yun or if they have extra budget for that, pero may mga super mahal kasi I won't mention na lang. Overpricing and nakakahinayang.

Have you guys tried printing on the envelopes? I read that one of our sis here had a hard time printing theirs that they wasted a lot of envelopes. I dont know, maybe hindi macenter or the envelopes were too thick for the printer. They hired a calligrapher in the end. I want to print the names on my own too coz unnecessary expense siya talaga

I use calligraphy font. I got it from dafont.com for free. I think it's called Bromello or Sophia. I used it both for the invitation cards and the addressing.

Or learn na lang how to write calligraphy.

H2b din just downloaded the fonts para maka-save.

Kaya naman daw to print on the envelopes kasi yung mga kilala ko na DIY yung invites nila ganun din ginawa.

Oo nga sis. Ako I started practicing calligraphy a few months ago, medyo pangit pa pero I still have a few months to go. Ako nalang magsusulat. or if not, ipprint ko nalang din sa envelope Nasa 20Php per envelope din ang charge ng calligraphers.

Haha I tried learning calligraphy. Di ko magawa kasi I'm left handed. Siguro brush calligraphy kaya pa pero pag pen di talaga.

Me too I tried to learn calligraphy. I even attended a class. Actually you need to practice a lot, most especially if your hands are not used to doing artsy stuff. Grabe sakit sa kamay. Also, madiin ako magsulat and matigas gumalaw kamay ko hehe. Hirap icontrol ang strokes!

We were able to meet our supplier for the invitations. May add-ons lang kami for the table number and thank you cards. I'll share it soon once available. ☺️

Sana by next week, makita ba namin yung design.

I am now experiencing how tedious this stuff is. Haha Nakailang pa re-layout na ako for our invitation. Grabe yung nitty gritty when it comes to correcting names and grammar, font size and color. Pati yung map na in the end eh di rin nakuha. But it's all worth it. Wedding feels na talaga. Well, 48 days to go for me. Hopefully, makuha na namin yung printed invi by next week so I can share it here also. Happy preps! 😊

I'm still clarifying that. Kasi I sent her the jpeg files and I asked for:
- double sided main invite
- gold stamping
- envelope liner

Sagot lang nya is P60 per invite.

Btw, presyong kamag anak ito.
 

Pwede malaman supplier mo? backreading pero cant seem to find it. thanls. yung samin simple lang pero ang quote is P40 na e

Relative yung gagawa so presyong kamag-anak kaya malaki yung discount. I think she is giving it to me at cost.

I'm having problem w/ my guest list. Initially, the total estimated guest list from my side is around 240 to 250...but when my dad updated our list naging 300+ na X_x Should we just send this out hoping na 20% of them won't come anyway? My h2bs estimated guest list also ballooned from 180 to 260.

@meixin, well, kasya naman sila sa ballroom but but but I'm thinking about the additional expenses lang... i don't know if we should start crossing out the guest list na or just send everything tapos bahala na si batman. Ughh.. this is so hard...

The irony is...if you don't invite them they might feel insulted but if you invited them (tapos hindi naman super close) they don't really want to go din but mahihiya sila to say no
