^sis, how are you planning to travel between Amsterdam, Prague and Switzerland? Fly? Perhaps you can spend driving down to Italy from Switzerland, exploring Milan, Venice, Cinque Terre, Florence/Pisa then Rome.

^sis sophistique, pls. keep in mind na yung 'fly' maski mabilis asahan mo matagal din ang waiting sa airport. Asahan mo ang haba ng pila. Maski may handcarry ka, airlines are very strict in imposing baggage sizes and weight. I flew Easy Jet to Geneva and Venice. Buti na lang my clothes are packed in travel cubes, kaya madali ko na-switch from one baggage to another without exposing my dirty laundry

So kung daytrips ka sa Amsterdam and Prague, hopefully mapuntahan mo pa rin yung must-see mo doon.

^^sis chynna_v, I didn't have to show my COE eh. But on yours, for UK and Schengen maski di mo na i-detailed yung itinerary mo. I also don't think you even need a separate COE for UK and Schengen. Just show that your trip is from June 1-15.

Ayaw mo idagdag yung remaining 3 days nyo sa Amsterdam and Prague? I doubt you can see anything in a day each in Amsterdam and Prague.

^sis, you're welcome. But if you ask me, between Munich and Prague, I like the charm of Prague. If you want to visit Germany, I'd rather you go to Berlin or from Munich drive up to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It's about 2h away from Munich. Or visit the Neuschwanstein Castle. It is said to be an inspiration of castles shown in Disney animations. But you know what, whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll enjoy the views and the charm of Europe.

^i'd rather spend 2 days in Amsterdam than Switzerland. Just got back from Zurich at kaya siya ng 1 day 🙂, unless Lucerne ang target mo sa Switzerland, then yung 3 days mo i suggest include mo sa list mo italy, maybe Rome 🙂. I'm from Munich btw.

^Planning to spend 1 day too in Zurich. Which tourist spots did you visit? I included 1 day on my itinerary to Zurich to take the Bernina Express for the view only para makapunta sa Italy from Frankfurt. No plans going to the top tourist destinations around Switzerland though.

June 12 7am land in Munich

Munich - plan is to drop bags in hotel lang then Fussen to see neuschwanstein castle. What else ang sites to see in Munich beer gardens? Thinking maybe 2 days here then

Train to Cologne - what to see here ba?

Train from Cologne to Amsterdam - Anne Frank Musuem, canal cruise, red light district

Train to Amsterdam to Paris - Versailles, eiffel tower, arc de triomphe, champ elysees and maybe a day sa outlets, disneyland

Flight from Paris to Venice - what to see here aside from St Marks square?

Train from Venice to Florence - leaning tower of pisa
Train from Florence to Rome - St Peters Basillica, colleseum, sistine chapel

While im in Rome pano ba pumunta ng Vatican? Gusto ko sana makita since malapit nalang I heard by bus pwede right - thinking day trip lang to, then back to Rome

Flight from Rome to Lucerne - wala akong idea sa place na to so pwede optional
Bus from Lucerne to Munich

June 25 Flight out of Munich at 1pm

3 days in Amsterdam is more than enough. On question which city to start off with, i-depende mo na lang kung ano ang city ka mag-fly in/out. In my case coming from London, nauna ang Amsterdam dahil we wanted to try/sleep overnight sa Stena Line ferry between leg. Then Paris next (with Belgium stopover). Then Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice).

^^ i_miss_sleep from London did you take the Eurostar? if yes, ang procedure ba is book the ticket then separate yung sa reservation? Is it a must ba to have seat reservation and would you recommend standard, second or first class coach? TIA!

^Pasagot ha. I booked my sis-in-law on the Eurostar when we were in Paris. She wanted to make a side trip kasi. Yes, it is a must to have seat reservations. It's automatic naman once you book the ticket (unless you have the rail pass). If you have extra money, I would suggest go first class as it is more spacious plus more room for your bags. Otherwise, 2nd class will be fine. The ride is just over two hours so okay na rin.

hi everyone! anyone here tried traveling to europe via qatar airways? do i need to secure a transit visa since we have an 8hr stop over sa doha?

and to those who traveled to london plus other schengen countries, did you bring gbp and euro for cash? or pwede din euro nalang even sa london? we will be traveling one week london and one week paris lang naman. TIA!

^sis, while some stores accept Euro in London, mostly prefers to use their local currency, Pounds. When I went, I didn't attempt to pay in Euro, actually I used my credit card since I don't have foreign transaction fee naman. Also, when I needed cash, I just withdrew local notes from an ATM machine. Only withdraw from ATMs within the bank and watch out for ATM skimming.

A note on currencies:
We bought EUR and GBP here before flying. Nabigyan ako ng EUR 200 and GBP 50 na denominations. For the EUR 200, most major tourist spots accept it pero sa mga convenience stores and fast food, it takes them a while to validate. Sa In & Out for example, almost 5 minutes kami naghintay because the store was verifying our EUR.

For the GBP 50, the machines in the railway station do not accept this denomination. Hassle lang kasi we had to use up the smaller bills to pay for our Oyster cards. Though okay naman yung GBP for convenience stores. The money changer won't change the bill into smaller denominations.

If you have a choice, ask for smaller denominated bills and avoid the EUR 200 and GBP 50 na bills for less hassle.
