Regrets:

1. Listening to my MIL about the food choices. We had our civil wedding last year and malaki din nagatos namin kahit simple at mabilis ang planning bec limited and time and sa work ng husband ko hirap kami mag asikaso for everything. Hayyy. In the end sobrang daming tira na ipinauwi namin. Nag tawag pa sya ng friends/officemates nya na di namin kilala to consume daw the remaining food for 6 pax. Chill parin.

Always follow guts and decide for yourself after all this is your OWN wedding. People will always have a lot to say dedma lang importante masaya kayong mag asawa. We'll have our church wedding this year kahit anong sabihin nila hahahaha bahala sila. :P

I was initially planning to book two teams of photographers. Isang known team and one back-up team. I was traumatized kasi when I turned 18, walang maayos na photos because the team was unprepared. :'( But after reading tips here, I think I would just stick to one.

^ Yes, it is usually written in their contracts na ayaw nila may back up, kasi shempre naman agaw sa oras, mas magulo, and respect din sa gawa nung photog. Kaya better book a really good one para no need for back ups! :)

Based from experience, ang regrets ko :

 * nagpadala sa PR or chika ng ibang supplier i ended up getting disappointed and not getting my money's worth. dapat talaga you listen to other actual brides, get references or get your relatives to check them out (i was an overseas bride btw, married last 14th).

* not being firm on rsvps - disappointed na some guests do not even bother to respond or confirm, i could have given seats to others i wanted to invite but hey ho, a fault in my end na rin, i should have given firm deadlines

* not writing my vows - personal vows are no longer permitted during the ceremony, we have tried to ask the officiating priest pero hindi talaga pwede so okay, i don't have to write one.... and then i had to write something pala for him (a letter, or more like a vow) for the SDE. amidst the kaguluhan around me during the prep i had to find a small window of quiet time to write something.

* not getting that slip / lingerie for wear underneath the robe! i wasnt expecting kase to twirl around in a robe during shoot so i thought, ah my undies will do... nope they won't!

In general, super success yung wedding namin. Wala ako narinig na negative at all about the wedding with guests for far saying that it's one of the most beautiful, most solemn weddings they've been to.

In the beginning I was doubting our decision to have a destination wedding, pero in the end I realized it was a good decision. I know every single person who went, if someone asked me who came to our wedding, I can recite the names of all 67 people who were at our wedding. I was able to speak to every single one of them during the reception. It's always how I envisioned our wedding to be.

So my regrets so far:
1. Upgrading my veil - I should have just taken the veil that was included in the package instead of upgrading to a lace edged one. I don't think it added anything at all to the look plus the upgraded veil was too long.
2. Not eating at the reception. I had some food pero sobrang daming food and sobrang busy, I was not able to sit down and enjoy the meal. My husband sat down and ate, ako I started circulating without him.
3. Getting a wedding cake - We should have just gotten a simple single layer cake. The cake we had was a tall 2 layers cake tapos we only ate one mouthful. I forgot to ask the waiter to pack some for us for after the wedding.

MAJOR
- Getting a non-air conditioned church, all the guests and most of all me were sweating buckets. Feeling ko hindi naka concentrate mga tao sa solemnity of the ceremony kasi mas nahassle sila sa init. All the kids were crying too.
- Getting Nuestra Senora De Gracia (NSDG) in Makati as our church. So aside from super init sa church, the "church people" are very stiff and mukhang pera. They asked for extra electricity fees for our coolers and lights pero on the day half lang and pinagamit nila sa amin dahil baka daw mag short circuit sa church. The old ladies usherettes were VERY RUDE to me and the groom and to our wedding coordinators too.
- Not double checking the AVPs myself, we were supposed to surprise our guests with this really nice video I prepared for. Tapos nung nagpplay na mali pala ang AVP na nasave sa USB and we don't have time to DL it again.
- I should have saved the photos on the same day from the photographer into a hard drive, until now wala pa rin ang copy ko ng raw photos
- Sana hindi ako nagpakasal ng summer, specially that we live in NY and just went home for the wedding. Coming from Winter to Summer in Manila --- sobrang laking adjustment.
- Letting my mom's friend pick a priest, para syang sabog during the wedding. Mali mali ang basa nya sa misalette tapos nag bubuckle pa like he asked my husband if he can take me as his "husband". Some of my guests we're joking if the priest that I got was a real priest or nagppretend lang ba haha.

Not having a family picture sa reception. Diba usually pag reception kasi per table ang picture taking. So iba-iba ng tables yung family members. Sayang ang backdrop, but we have one naman during preps and sa church. :)

Biggest regret: Booking Perfect Moments by Erika Que. don't book their coordination (sobrang all over the place, sabi nga ng friend ko who is also an entourage super bulok nila, nagkaka gulo na pero they are nowhere to be found) lahat half baked, styling was also super blah parang naglapag lang sila ng a few flowers yun na, they didn't follow the crystal drapings or anything, sobrang sinayang nila reception ko. Everything was super bare even the church. And to think lagi niyang mimemention yung word na 'lushful'. They did't even bother making amends and compensation after the wedding. I'm regretting it until now... my heart breaks every time I see old pictures... nakakahiya pero that's how I feel until now. I can't believe I trusted them. How I wish I could turn back time, pero wala na e. What's done is done. Eto lang magagawa ko, giving reviews and warning future brides.

Not  yet a graduate pero may "mejo" regret na ako sa wedding planning. :(

Our wedding was moved to an earlier date kaya bigla akong nagcram sa pagplan, ayun inuna ko niresearch yung wedding venue (ceremony and reception) with the agreement with h2b na around 30pax lang ang magiging bisita namin, all in all. we plan to get married again by next year kasi maybe for bigger group. then I just found out yesterday na ang plan ng future mil ko is 3 vans ng guest daw siguro ang from sa side ni h2b.

1. Hindi ako nagpalit ng coordinator, despite the nega issues that time.
2. Hindi ako nag assign ng in-charge from my entourage/family sa ibang ganap sa wedding kasi I trusted so much our coord to execute.
3. I did not prepare my speech ahead of time. Sobrang lutang ako OTD (which is normal i think), aside sa hindi ko naisip mga tao sa paligid ko, sobrang sabaw lahat ng speech / vows ko.

***Apart from our wedding day, one of my regrets na napapaisip parin ako until now is yung fact na hindi namin tinuloy yung gusto ko talagang intimate wedding with around 35-50 pax lang. What if we pushed that through? I would be happier ba? Hehe! Dami kong what ifs. Siguro sadyang emo lang ako. :)

Not booking a 2nd team to take care of the candid and guests shots.
Ok naman photographers namin. Although medyo boxed yung technique ng main shooter nila. So ending majority of the pics are those of MYSELF. Portraits portraits. Maganda naman. Kaso kaumay. Pati we were looking for the event shots. Waley halos. Dun lang sa per table.
I felt na kulang talaga. Pero superb ang videographer namin.
I'm a photog and an artist myself kaya nakulangan ako sa creativity and pagiging flexible ng photog namin.

We were very much happy, content, in awe sa naging outcome ng wedding namin! If there's one tiny regret lang naman, that is sana nagavail ako ng LED wall or mas descent na projector, we were blown away sa SDE namin and On site photos, sayang di masyado nabigyan ng justice yung ginawa ng p/v namin sa freebie na projector ng Caterer, pero since everyone is over the moon during our wedding, wala naman naka notice, and mas pinapanuod naman sa social media usually ang outputs, so ok pa din hehe. But if you really, really want to showcase the outputs of your P/V please avail na ng LED wall. Mas malaki at malinaw mas ok depende sa venue.

Upon reading your post sis, napaisip nga ako if i will regret din not getting a 2nd team of photographer. Konti rin yung shots ng guests ko. Buti sa iyo may per table. Sa amin wala but meron kaming shots sa stage with all the guests per table. No overall look ng registration table and the play area. These are the things kasi na hindi ko na napansin on the wedding day.

Hi mga sis! Bubuhayin ko lang tong thread na to.  :) Sorry for the long post.

Nung April 2017 pa wedding namin. Of course, masaya nung wedding day. Medyo marami pero yung iba dito is connected sa "kung saan ba kami sana puede pa nakatipid?" and yung iba naman is just me being OC.

Then nakapalibot sa kanya mga shells and white pebbles.

-Flowers -- Nothing wrong with my supplier. Iniisip ko lang na baka I should have picked a different color palette.

-Afterparty band -- again, nothing wrong with the supplier. Request lang ni then-fiance to. Kasi may strings na kami for the church plus reception.

Haha!

-Naiyak ako during my march -- mahirap i-control kasi super overwhelming. :)

Di naman to naconsider dati kasi nung nag-ocular naman kami ng venue, di naman sya super laki so we did not think it's needed.

*Not necessarily a regret kasi maganda naman yung gawa ng videographer namin. Haha. Pero since di ko sila nakita at all when I was researching for a videographer last year, parang wala naman malaking regret. Parang may what-if lang. Hehe.
