TTC's who got pregnant: Your Journey to BFP (thread 2)
« on: June 13, 2016, 07:08:42 pm »
I think the questions below are the FAQ for all those who are TTC:

This is the original thread: http://www.femalenetwork.com/girltalk/index.php/topic,234910.0.html

1. What's your (and/or your partner's) diagnosis if any? (PCOS, Endo, etc)
2. How many months/years TTC?
3. What meds did you take while TTC?
4. Any fertility supplements/ TTC kits you used? (OPKs, basal thermometer, etc)
5. Name of OB & Hospital/Clinic, schedule and if HMO accredited
6. Message/Tips for those still TTC (Please be specific in providing details for symptoms, on CDs/DPOs, etc)

Let's help each other until we all attain those two red lines!  ;)

Hi sharing my experience:

1. pcos
2. 2.5 years
3. 5 cycles of clomid then rested for a year
4. IUI
5. Dra. Joan Tan-Garcia, SLMCQC and MaDocs. Fertility-related consultation not HMO-accredited
6. Dra. Joan is our 5th REI doctor. Her approach was different since wala syang sineset na target every month. Nagulat ako na after ng first check up nam,in, after 3 months pa nya kami pinapabalik. 3 months na ayusin naming ang lifestyle and diet namin. And during those 3 months, tinanggal ko talaga ang pressure sa katawan ko and I turned to God. And I realized He wants me to work on my patience at talagang inayos ko ang sarili ko nun. Another 3 months had passed and wala pa rin nabubuo noon. But it never weakened me.. in fact mas napanatag pa loob kasi alam ko na na God is a promise-giver and He keeps His promises.

So yun we decided to undergo IUI and God blessed us with twins! :)))

Then nag IVF na sila. On the third IVF, nakabuo sila. But sadly, may birth defect si baby. Hindi buo yung skull niya so labas yung brain niya. Once born, mamamatay din daw yun pero ginastusan nila talaga umabot sa 5million pesos but after 10 months, namatay din si baby. So ayun 2 years ang nakalipas at nagulat nalang sila na nabuntis ulit si girl without medical intervention. As in hindi sila makapaniwala mag asawa. I haven't heard a recent update on their case but as far as I know, mas ahead sila sa pregnancy ko and mukhang okay na ang skull ng baby nila this time. Oh diba mga sis, walang impossible!!! :)

Irregular Period but got pregnant eventually.
« Reply #9 on: July 03, 2016, 09:46:24 am »
Hi cysters, please share your success stories even if you had a super duper irregular periods but got pregnant eventually at kung ano po mga tinake niyo? Thanks po.

I also diagnosed with PCOS & Retroverted year 2012. Got pregnant last year using VITEX but sad to say it ended to a blighted ovum pregnancy. After D&C process, mga twice palang ata dumating si AF. January 2016 pa yung pinaka last ko. Shockss! Irregular na ko eversince pero meron ba sainyo nabuntis even without AF?

June 28,2016 nagpa tvs ako ulit at ganun pa din. PCOS,Retro with 6mm endometrium.

June 30,2016 I went to OB para pabasa sakanya. After nun pills. Instead she prescribed me Ovamit already also Metformin. Magkaroon man spotting lang daw.

Nalilito ako hahaha!

But please share your success stories po having irregular period. Thankyou so much ☺ Babydust to all of us.

Hi girls. I just want to share my TTC journey. We've been married for over 3 years. I have PCOS and hubby has low sperm count due to low testosterone and high estrogen. My ob is Dr. Eileen Manalo of Asian Hospital, St. Lukes BGC and Makati Med. Last year palang, she advised us to do the IUI pero wala pa kaming budget so pinatake niya muna si hubby ng pampababa ng estrogen in effect tataas testosterone niya and sperm count. I believe it was a breast cancer medication pero ganun ang effect sa sperm, it's called Anastrozole. I also started taking Metformin in January 2015. Naging busy kami sa careers and forgot about TTC until my maid of honor got pregnant. Nainggit na naman ako and started seeing my ob last Feb 18, 2016. Sabi ko, doc, I want to do the IUI na. And so we did on March 4 at St. Lukes BGC. Sperm washing was done at CARMI. I had to do 2 IUIs in one day kasi 550,000 lang ang sperm ni hubby post wash during the first round and sabi ni doc, kulang daw un. She asked him to take viagra for the second round and nag increase ang count nya to 10 million post wash. 5 million lang naman daw ang kailangan so good to go na kami. I had only one dominant follicle using Letrozole, Gonal-F and Ovidrel. After the agonizing two week wait, I finally got my BFP. I just can't believe that my first IUI worked. Sobrang thankful ako kay God and kay doc. I'm now 16 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. We found out the gender at 14 weeks. Sana makatulong ang story ko sa inyo. Wish you luck and baby dust to all. I know how every TTC woman feels. Kaya kahit dapat sa mga pregnancy forums na ako tumatambay ngayon, I still feel that I need to share my story in forums like these to give hope to women like me na sobrang hirap ng pinagdadaanan just to have our most awaited bundle of joy. God bless us all TTC sisters.

Aww thanks sis! :) 20 weeks and 5 days na ako today. :)

Darating din yung time nyo mga sis. Wag mawawalan ng pag asa. Hindi ko talaga inexpect na magwowork ang IUI samin after trying naturally for such a long time. :)

Sis @zsarwin. Congrats sissy! Can I know what other procedures you had with Doc Joan? Am her patient for 1 year now, TTC for more than 2 years. Last treatment I had was a failed injectables as I don't respond to oral meds (clomiphene, femara). Thank you sissy, need ko lang ng hope. was thinking of looking out for another OB. siyempre kasi failed yung sakin e but I did not do IUI.

Hi. Pa attendance Dito..

1. Diagnosis: Relative Infertility, no PCOS, no Endometriosis, 1 myoma super liit almost non contributory; Husband: Very healthy
2. One year TTC after my miscarriage last year.
3. Been on Folic Acid for 3 months, 1st Cycle of Clomifene and 3 weeks of Metformin, now on my TWW, Duphaston Three times a day
4. OPKs and regular thermometer and Kindara (as app)
5. No OB in particular YET
6. Tips:

There is no easy way. And if you are stuggling with this, you cant get enought of the "dadating din yan pag ibibigay" "antayin mo lang" or "wag ka kasing magpaka stress"

I am a type A personality, I am an OB, I suffered enough.
Last year right after my wedding, we flew to Korea for honeymoon and pagbalik after two weeks, i got the BFP! And it was twins!! Kaso, unfortunately 9 weeks, nawala heartbeat. I got dilatation ang curettage. The next three months. Hindi talaga TTC. We tried for almost 1 year na natural conception. Kaso it was always a negative line. This month, nagseryoso na ako (on treating myself) if after this, walang pregnancy pa, definitely Ill seek REI consultant na.

Do what you do best, charting! masaya naman ang charting. The TWW ang nakakastress lang.

Divert attention to cooking (healthier food)
Brocolli, asparagus, avocado - my power food
No to coffee, sugary product and preserved food. - hirap neto, pero nasanay na ako during this three weeks na nagstart ako.

And yes. We all suffered the same agony and anxiety.

About IUI and IVF, we'll get to that kung wala talaga.

Please read a book for your TWW. Nakaka kalma.

Tuloy ang charting: DPO 2 - temp gets higher. No symptoms yet.

1. What's your (and/or your partner's) diagnosis if any? PCOS/DM2 for me and slow liquifaction time for hubby
2. How many months/years TTC? first pregnancy - 8th year/ second pregnancy - 12th year
3. What meds did you take while TTC? 2002 to 2008 work-up non-stop, got clomid, provera, injectables, etc.
4. Any fertility supplements/ TTC kits you used? did not take supplements but i just lost the weight :)
5. Name of OB & Hospital/Clinic, schedule and if HMO accredited: OB-Infertility Dra. Lourdes Del Rosario at Molino Doctors Hospital
6. Message/Tips for those still TTC (Please be specific in providing details for symptoms, on CDs/DPOs, etc)
Patience and prayers are big factors on this journey.
