^ You can have your child get her missed vaccines through catch up immunization. Please make sure to tell or remind your pedia of previous reactions.
Even adults who have missed vaccines can still do catch up immunization.
The only vaccine that has a deadline in giving the last dose is rotavirus vaccine and that is to prevent serious side effects such as intussusception from occurring.

^ No, kapag binigay ang rotavirus vaccine beyond the recommended age period, doon pwede magdevelop ng intussusception.
First dose should be given not beyond 14 weeks and 6 days while the last dose should be given by 8 months of age.

^ No. For the 2 brands of Rotavirus vaccine: (interval between doses should be 4 to 8 weeks)
For Rotateq = 3 doses
For Rotarix = 2 doses
As I mentioned, the 1st dose should be given by 14 weeks and 6 days while the last dose should be given before or by the time the child reaches 8 months of age. This applies for both brands.

^^ sis galing kami pedia last Friday for scheduled vaccine, nakalimutan ko na actually itanong about rota but si pedia na nagsabi sakin when nabanggit na 5 months na si baby.
Kelangan daw maibigay yung 1st and 2nd dose before mga 6 months si baby.
So eto babalik kami after 2 weeks for the 1st dose then 2 weeks again para sa 2nd.

hayss bakit now lang sisimulan, sana earlier nasabi na to ni Pedia  :(

@prettylove:
For Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV), the number of doses needed is dependent on the age at 1st dose:
6 weeks to 6 months - 3 primary doses given at 4 to 8 weeks apart, 1 booster given at 12 to 15 months of age
7 to 11 months - 2 doses 8 weeks apart then a 3rd dose at 12 to 15 months of age
12 months - 2 doses at least 8 weeks apart
2 years old - 1 dose if PCV 13 is given, 2 doses if PCV 10 is given

Please remember the earlier the you give the vaccine, the earlier your child gets protected from possible invasive disease so please do not delay vaccination just because of the reduced number of doses.

Good afternoon. My baby is turning 2 months next week. She already got her 5in1 shots sa center. But her Pedia is not aware pa na sa center kami nagpa vaccine. Thank you.

@doc leletmd thanks po, mas nakiwanagan ako.

@kiz_me1109, I think depende sa pedia but wala naman masama kung ang mga vaccinations ni baby is sa center kukunin basta inform lang ang doctor nya about it, better inform mo ang pedia ni baby para makapagbigay din sya ng proper advise when ka ulit mag visit sa clinic nya.

^ You're welcome.

@ kiz_me1109:
Depends on the pedia. Better to be honest and tell the pedia that you're having your baby vaccinated at the local health center. The monthly visits at the pedia are needed to assess developmental progress, guide you through needed vaccines and their side effects. HIndi lang naman vaccination ang reason for the monthly pedia visits.

@kmjlara:
Nimenrix is a meningococcal conjugate vaccine. It is really more expensive compared to meningococcal polysaccharide vaccines. The difference between the 2 is that the conjugate vaccine can be given to babies less than 2 years of age and it has longer lasting immunity.
Regarding the price, it would be best to clarify it with your doctor.
