^depende sa activities nyo but to give you an idea, each meal usually costs mga 800-1200Y, train fare is nasa 140-220Y per trip.

As for shopping, marami eh. Ginza if you're into high end brands, Ueno sa mga mid-range brands (the usual like Nike, World Balance, etc), and of course Don Quijote for everything else. then you can also visit outlet stores medyo malayo nga lang sa Tokyo. Nagvisit kami ng Gotemba outlet on the way to Mt Fuji (~2-3 hrs away from Tokyo). Almost all brands meron dun from midrange to high end and sulit rin naman.

Sa clothes.. depende talaga sa weather eh, check accuweather at least a week before your flight. Pero usually palamig na talaga yang november so bring jacket or sweater na madaling tanggalin at ilayer.

Meron din kainan na as low as Y400~Y600 sa may mga eskinita tas sulit kasi masarap at malaki serving. Para makatipid ka rin, magdala kayo ng spreads, lady's choice spread yung nasa tetrapack ang peg, wag na yung nasa bote kasi bibigat yung luggage mo. Bring also instant noodles pang almusal para di na kayo bibili outside, lunch and dinner nalang kayo bumili ng food nyo. haha. Masarap din yung food nilang instant noodles sa convenience store Y120 lang pang 2 tao na. Try nyo bumili para matikman, tas ice cream nila Y80 sulit din kasi laki size. Check nyo convenience stores. hehe.

If you are going to visit Mt. Fuji, meron dun kayong stop over ng bilihan ng pasalubong or kahit kainin nyo on the way kasi not sure of the name pero para syang red bean paste cake ang peg nya. Masarap sya as in tas fresh pa. Yung food na yun 1 week lang ang expiration tas it costs Y120 ata yun kung di ako nagkakamali ah. Yung food na yun dun lang sya mabibili.

Mag dala ng thermal wear like yung sa Uniqlo na mga thermal undies P990 isa for the pants tas meron din yung pang taas P990 din ata. bili ka ng 3 pairs tas labhan labhan nalang kasi mahal din. then dala ng sweater jacket. pwede na 4 layers + yung 1 layer na thermal undies mo. so 5 yung damit na nasa katawan mo. Bring gloves saka moisturizer dahil nakaka dry ng mukha yung sobrang lamig.

Tuloy na tuloy na kami sa Japan. Bale 7 adults and 1 child. Ang airfare umabot ng 193k. I didnt expect it na ganun na pala kamahal. Wala pang hotel accomodation.. ganun na ba talaga?

^ang mahal sis, anong airline kayo? Kung regular fare kasi nasa 20k per head lang sa PAL..medyo mahal. Yung last trip namin to tokyo, we were 6 adults + 2 kids (2 and 6 y/o). Mura lang pamasahe namin kasi naka sale.

^sis, weeks na lang before flight niyo? Kay pal nun 75K RT for 3 pax na yan pero months ago nabook. Pero kung weeks na lang kaya siguro ganiyan yung presyo.

^sis kung sa food, try them all!! Hehe wala kang itatapon sa japanese food promise. Masarap lahat haha try nyo ramen sa Ichiran, maraming branches to at sobrang haba ng pila lagi. Better to go there ng alangan oras (brunch or afternoon merienda) kasi super haba talaga ng pila pag lunch). Nagtry rin kami ng yakiniku masarap din, medyo mahal nga lang, umabot almost 20k yen bill namin 😅

Yung tokyo banana, is that the custard cake? If yes, sa Tokyo tower kami nakabili. Masarap sya and okay na pampasalubong kasi individually packed.

Yung sa yakiniku marami naman kami, 9 adults + 4 kids hehe pero mahal talaga sya than usual resto food.

Ang ginawa ko nagpapalit ako ng dollars here then sa narita airport na ko nagpa exchange ng yen. Not sure if anong mas sulit yung rate. If meron ka bpi or bpi ccount, pwede ka rin magwithdraw dun na mismo, auto convert sya from peso to yen. Natry ko to nung kinulang cash ko, sa 7-11 lang ako magwithdraw ng 10k yen. Walang charge kay bpi, i think si bdo may 100 pesos charge yata.

Mga sis help. super worry and kaba ko na. pinasa na namin kasi last Saturday yung requirements namin sa friendship. ngayon kinakabahan ako kasi yung bank cert namin is July 25 ko pa pinarun yun pero ngayon lang kami nagsubmit kasi na-operahan ako. di na ako nagbother palitan kasi Nov 7 na flight namin and ang alam ko 3 months validity naman siya. pag pasa naman namin sa agency chineck nung nagreceive, tumingin sa calendar then nirecieve naman niya.

kaya lang sabi ng friend ko baka daw mapansin yung date since malapit na maexpire. kinakabahan tuloy ako.

I highly advise NOT to double-convert your money, like PHP to USD to JPY. You will incur double forex losses. The money changer rates here in Pinas are super competitive. Even better actually compared to changing your money in Japan or withdrawing from ATMs. Nag walk-in nga lang ako sa Sanry's Greenbelt 1 and got my 60k yen without reservation. Rate is 0.48, super favorable na niyan.

If you're on a tight budget, I guess bringing baon from Pinas may make sense to some. But for me, Japan is THE holy grail of asian food, it's f*cking authentic Japanese cuisine. I mean, you're already in Japan! It's ridiculous not to spend, albeit modestly, on food. Even 7-Eleven and Family Mart are really good I tell you, and it's not too expensive as well.

Of course food in Japan can be pricey but there are a LOT of hole-in-the-walls that offer great value for money. Minsan nga mas masarap pa yung JPY500 worth of food kesa sa big restaurants e.

lordknight: Grabe sobrang urgent ng trip niyo, lahat paspasan!  Ang mahal nga ng ticket niyo grabe, tinalo pa yung JAL. Maswerte na kayo kung makakuha kayo ng hotel na worth 4-5k. Even airbnbs punuan na and they're the cheapest pa. Good luck on finding hotels!

that's good to know! we also got our approved visa today via Reli Dusit. Im just so happy. our app process took about business days kaya super kinabahan talaga ako. anyway, im excited to plan our IT and buy clothes na din hahaha. saan kayo sa JP sis?
