MANILA – (UPDATE) Singer and dancer Mocha Uson, one of President Rodrigo Duterte’s fiercest supporters, has been tapped as “social media consultant” at the Bureau of Customs, Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon said Thursday.
Faeldon, a former military rebel tasked by Duterte to reform one of the most corrupt agencies in the bureaucracy, said he hoped to tap Uson's Facebook page, with nearly four million followers, for public information campaigns.
Uson will not be paid for her services and will not be appointed in an official capacity, Faeldon told ABS-CBN News.
“We’re looking at the millions of followers she has. We need the support of everyone in our reform agenda,” Faeldon told ABS-CBN News.
“Her blog is active. I’m sure she can help. Wala siyang bayad. She is willing to help in the name of public service,” he said.
Uson runs a Facebook page, which has nearly four million likes, where she regularly engages the President’s supporters, and at one time, interviewed Duterte himself.
Uson posted an interview with Faeldon on Wednesday, wherein the former Marine discussed his plans to rid the agency of corruption.
“Kaming mga ka ka DDS mga Die-Hard Duterte Supporters, ipinapangako po namin sa inyo na 100 percent din ang suporta namin sa inyo dahil napakalaki ng inyong resposibilidad," she told Faeldon.

“Comm. Nicanor Faeldon will not appoint Mocha Uson as BOC Social Media Consultant but she can write articles about BOC on her blog,” the statement read.
“She will be the social media consultant,” Faeldon was quoted in the report.

what's up with international media, the UN, international groups and foreigners suddenly being sooooo interested in us and this war on drugs we have now? NAKAKAPAGTAKA.

makes me think na talagang lahat ng sinabi ni President Digong about us being a narco state sooner or later is true. Sigurado ako na malaki ang nalulugi sa international drug trade ngayon dahil sa massive crack down against politicos and the big fish involved - hence the shocking reaction.

anyway, i read in Philstar that Marcos is to be buried in Libingan around September. Marcos, Jr. also won or narrowly lost, so sa mga bitter about the Marcos family, sana tumahimik na sila. 30 years na yang propaganda nila, wala namang nangyari sa Pilipinas.
