For the first time in a very long time I watched the SONA of the President in full. I supported the President in the past elections and saw how his leadership came into play after he stepped into power. His SONA was so sincere and it was hopeful and exciting.  Encouraging people to love each other or not to hate each other so much is one the best quotable quote.

i cant believe i actually watched and listened to the SONA yesterday.
i am so proud of our President! he is a president with a heart! hahaha...
sana matutukan ang kapakanan ng mga OFW lalo n ang mga domestic helpers kase helpless talaga sila sa ibang bansa lalo n pag natapat sa malupit na amo.

its a first time for me too, watching SONA in full. i read the full transcript too, also in full. before, i would just read the transcript but skipped some parts.

i have so many favorite quotes from PDuterte's sona but pinaka na touch ako sa "if we can't love each other then in God's name, lets not hate each other too much." 

hay i hope God will bless him more and protect him because too many people are against him now. im even tired of listening to these human rights advocates but since it's their advocacy, what can we do? im just praying they're not being used for thr political agenda of the so-called elite politicians. i respect human rights but we have social responsibility too.

Sen. Ping Lacson said he wasn’t surprised peace talks with the Communist
Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) didn’t take off
under former President Noy Aquino.

In an interview with DZBB’s Nimfa Ravelo, Lacson said that Aquino had
also made efforts to end the leftist rebellion in the country and even
sent his political adviser Ronald Lllamas to talk to CPP founder Joma
Sison.

Lacson said he was able to get a peek into Sison’s 10-point demands and
even he was shocked at what the National Democratic Front of the
Philippines chief consultant was asking.

“Pagtingin ko pa lang sabi ko malabong magkaroon ng meeting of the minds
dito. Una, meron akong nakita gusto maupo sa NSC (National SEcurity
Council). Paano naman yan? E NSC gusto nila meron silang representative
doon,” said Lacson.

“Isang nakita ko armed regulars nila di magla-lay down ng arms,
gagamiting armas, at sila ma-appoint na forest guard. Isipin ko kung
maging forest guard ang NPA, lahat ng natural na yaman ng Pilipinas sa
control ng CPP NPA NDF. Paano gagalaw ang pamahalaan?” said Lacson.

Had the government give in to Sison’s demands, Lacson said communist
rebellion would have only become stronger. “Pag nag-break down ang peace
talks naloko na, napakalakas nila,” said Lacson.

Lacson said Sison would typically ask for the moon in any peace talks.

“Baka nagbabakasakaling makalusot. Pag nagbigay ka ng demands,
ma-maximize mo na. parang Divisoria yan, pagtawad, panalo ka pa rin.
Ganoon siguro ang psychology noon, ganoong mentality,” said Lacson.

Sana gawan din ng aksyon yung "napatay matapos manlaban".. Nakakabother kasi na yun lagi yung reason na binibigay ng mga pulis. Hindi na kapani-paniwala.

Siguro mostly na pinapatay na sinasabing "nanlaban" meron silang alam sa kapulisan. Pero ayun ang pinili nilang buhay, enjoy now pay later. Mahirap kumapit sa demonyo, maniningil at maninigil talaga yan.

Meron kaming kailala, pusher siya actually nasa drug watch list pero hindi kilala sa mukha. Mabait naman infairness. Huminto siya months ago(nung hindi pa nanalo si Duterte) at nagbagong buhay. Problema nalaman few weeks ago na sya yung tao na yun. Nagtago. Payback time ika nga. Naawa din ako kasi kung kailan huminto para magbagong buhay, saka pa naging ganun.

Pero yung mga inosente kakaawa din at nakakabother.

Sad to hear. Pero minsan ganun yata talaga ang buhay. Lahat ng bagay na pinipili at ginagawa natin may consequences. Not because nagbago na ngayon ay maisasalba na yung nakaraan na ginawang mali. Kung baga, nandun na yung mali, so kung may consequences yun babalik at babalik. I'm still against sa mga patayan na nangyayari na nanlaban or even yung vigilante killings. Pero looking into reality, parang part talaga ito ng consequences ng mga wrong actions na ginawa eh. Binabalikan sila ng kapwa kasama nila sa drug network at nagaganito sila ng mga crooked cops. Pero In the end, I don't think isisisi ko itong mga nangyayaring ito sa admin ngayon katulad ng mga ginagawa ng iba.

yes im also hoping na sana managot yung mga abuses during this drug war. but if the police said nanlaban kaya napatay, i owe it to them to believe them, unless proven otherwise. these pushers and addicts are almost hopeless, to be honest. i have witnessed personally how drugs destroyed a friend's future. siguro kung may maka recover man 10% lang sa kanila. it's sad but this is reality.

then later, if indeed it's proven na hinde nanlaban then the police should be accountable. just like what happened with the 2 police in pasay. i don't know why these mainstream media are keeping tab of those killed but seldom mention the figures of those who surrendered or caught alive. wala pa yatang 10% yung napatay if you compare the figures.

and extra judicial killings have been happening ever since but are they keeping tab on the number? 

i sound so unforgiving but i believe our government should be firm and strong during this drug war. these pushers and addicts have forfeited their human rights when they committed crimes and fail to be socially responsible. yung iba nga nagtitiis sa hirap para lang hinde makaagrabayado sa kapwa tao nya.

^Yep I agree. Parang may nabasa ako somewhere na sa US required ang body camera sa cops. Sana meron din tayo. para din sa protection ng pulis and ng suspects para malaman din kung ano ang totoong nangyari.
