1st IO questions were usual lang, (for how long mag-stay, san tutuloy, when ako last nandito, ano gagawin ko dito, how much money i have with me) until he questioned why 4-1/2 months ako mag-stay dito. and then he asked me if i have a return ticket (never ako na-ask nito sa lahat ng visit ko dito) but good thing i have a printed copy. he almost let me go, pero pag abot ko ng ticket ko, di ko napansin naka ipit don yung copy din ng health insurance (PH requirement). that's when he wrote that correa thing. and then lumapit sya sa isa pang IO. pagbalik nya, that's when he said need ako kausapin ng "boss" or something and he asked me to follow him.
btw, i answered him ng totoo except for my pocket money. di ko alam kung baket ako natakot but i said i only have $500 with me, when i have 1000. anyways, i told him i am going to visit my sister and my mom. kung baket ako mag stay that long is because my mom is having a surgery but no definite date yet coz doctor is still waiting for my mom's blood work result na gagawin pa lang ng december.
so pinapasok na ako sa room kung san naho-hold ang mga passengers. he asked me to sit first and wait to be called. i saw a couple of spanish people, an african american, and may 2 sumunod filipinos after me (na kasabay ko sa plane from PH pa, mother and daughter)
bawal mag cellphone so di ko ma-text family ko.
naririnig ko yun isang spanish girl they asked her what is she going to do in the US and if may return ticket ba sya. she said shopping and no, wala syang return ticket. when asked why, hihintayin daw nya mom nya coz susunod sa us and sabay sila magbu-book ng ticket. siguro she was questioned for about 15 mins. and they let her go.
mga after few mins, the 2nd IO called my name. he asked the same questions as the 1st IO. same lang sagot ko, pero pina ikot ikot nya, iniiba lang nya ng way yun tanong nya but same lang and never nagbago ang sagot ko dahil yon ang totoo. so baket nga daw 4-1/2 months ako mag-stay, i told him nga about my mom. pero kung december-january pa daw ang surgery, baket november pa lang andito na ako. i told him dahil bibisita din ako sa sister ko. then sabi nya alam ko naman daw na pandemic at sarado mga tourist spots. i said yes, and kaya lang din naka plano na ako last year pa (march 2020). he asked me where my mom is working, does she have family here, gano na sya katagal dito sa america. when i told him my mom is working at the mandalay bay, sabi ba naman nya san daw yon. sabi ko las vegas and its a hotel and casino. he asked same questions about my sister. he also asked ano ginawa ko last time i was here (nov 2018-jan 2019 and march 2019). i told him my sister had a surgery, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. and in march of 2019 nag bakasyon ako for 3 weeks.
he asked me again about my pocket money, inamin ko na magkano dala ko. baket daw ako nagsinungaling sa unang IO, sabi ko kinabahan ako. then pinalabas nya saken yun perang dala ko, and asked for my bank acct. dahil baket 1k lang dala k kung 5 months ako mag-stay. sabi ko sa kanya na tutulong ang ate ko at mommy ko sa gastusin ko. baket daw, eh may trabaho naman ako. sabi ko yon ang gusto nila eh. and sabi ko i have my atm with me just in case i needed to withdraw money. pinag log in nila ako sa acct ko and checked kung totoo ang sinabi ko amount na laman ng acct ko. they also asked me pala what i do and how much i make. sabi ko family small business and may pinapa rent ako na unit. then he asked again what i will do here sa 5 months. sinagot ko ulet sya kung ano din ang sagot ko 5x already.
eto pa, sabi nya "you know what, i see in our system that you will be working at the mandalay bay with your mom as a housekeeper" nagulat ako, kase san galing yon. baket may system eh wala naman ganong plano. at biglang alam na nya ang mandalay bay. sinagot ko sya ng walang ganon, at uuwi ako dahil may trabaho ako sa pilipinas. sabi nya nakalagay daw while vacationing ako, mag work ako temporarily. totoo magtatrabaho ako dito, remotely sa pilipinas hahaha since 4-1/2 months ako wala, gusto ko pa rin tumulong sa negosyo namin.
and then, he finally stamped my passport. pero sabi nya muna "you need to go home at the end of january whether your mom got her surgery or not", yes sir agad sagot ko. akala ko talaga A to A ako. pero humitir pa sya before iabot passport ko. sabi nya ulet "ok, i will let you stay until your planned stay, but you have to promise me that you will stay in your home country longer. you cant come back here in 1 year" pumayag na lang ako kahit pa ang weird non. paglabas ko, sinilip ko passport ko, he gave me 6 months stay.
natatakot lang ako don sa nilagay nung unang IO at kung makaka apekto ba yon next bumalik ako dito. also i dont think naman may record yon kase di naman sila nag pipindot sa computer. i mean record na sinabihan akong umuwi ako sa original date ko.
