I noticed lahat ng kakilala ko pag nag apply 10 yr multiple visa na agad. May nadedeny pa ba?

Oo naman may nadedeny pa din. Pag di nila naprove yung ties mo here sa PH. Nakikinig kinig din ako sa ibang iniinterview tapos after the interview dala nila visa nila, meaning rejected. Yung kakilala ko, wala syang work pero may business sya dito computer shop, yung parents nya at ate nasa US naman, nadeny sya.

I just got married last month. Ano ba better gawin? Change my surname muna before applying for US Visa (got denied na several years ago right after I graduated hehe) Or go nalang ako apply na? Pag nagchange passport ako di na nila makikita mga napuntahan kong countries. Less hassle naman in the future if ipachange ko na surname ko plus my husband have visa dati pa so more chances of being approved? Antagal kasi ng process ng name change nakakainip gusto na sana namin umalis early next year sana.

I just want to share my US visa journey. Got denied twice, 2007 and 2016. My third application was Dec. 20 and got my 10Y Multiple Visa. Here's how it went.

First try: 2 yrs employed, visited 4 countries, will visit cousin
Second try: 7yrs employed, visited 9 countries, will attend cousin's graduation

Third try:
C: What is the purpose of your trip?
Me: I will be in Canada in Feb for a business trip, a leadership training.
C: Where do you plan to go?
Me: We plan to have a quick trip to New York after the training in Toronto.
C: So, you are working at (name of company)?
Me: Yes.
C: For how long?
Me: 8yrs
C: What do you do?
Me: I am a Learning and Development Director
C: And how much is your salary?
Me: xx,000.00 per month
C: Do you have relatives in the US?
Me: Yes, a couple of cousins in NJ?
C: Are you gonna visit them?
Me: No, I will be going to NY with colleagues. I don't think I will have time to visit my cousins.
C: Have you travelled internationally?
Me: Yes, I've been to 10 countries. Canada, Japan, Korea, UAE, Qatar, SG, Malaysia, HK, Macau and Thailand.
C: typing typing... ok your visa is approved. You will receive your passport in 10days.
Me: Ohhh, thank you! Happy Holidays.

P.S.
When I submitted my application, I was reluctant to input the name of the hotel where we will be staying in. I thought it always has to be a residential address or a relative's.

And, when I got in the car, naiyak ako ng sobra... di ko kasi inasahan.. na my third time's a charm. So, goodluck mga sis. Sa mga nadeny na, wag tayo mawalan ng pagasa. I hope this serves as an inspiration to keep trying.

Hello po question lang, meron akong h1b visa valid until May 2018 nalang pero nagend na yung project ko sa US kaya umuwi ako nung january last year. This year plan ko magtravel sa New York pero hindi work related, pasyal lang talaga. Need ko pa ba kumuha ng tourist visa? Or pwede ko magamit yung h1b basta before ng expiration date nya? Hi mga Sis,

Just wanted to share that I just had my visa appt last friday with my partner. I was so nervous kasi i've been delaying this. I was so afraid i'll get denied tapos sayang yung binayad ko. Good thing na approve naman. They didn't ask for any requirements (though I'm prepared naman if ever). Isa lang naging tanong niya sa akin tapos ako na ang nag kwento ng lahat,bale puro follow up questions na lang tungkol sa mga sinabi ko. hihi. After a while, she said the magic words: "Congratulations, your visa has been approved. You'll get it in 1 week". Grabe, minessage ko na lahat ng kamag anak ko sa sobrang tuwa ko. My partner was also approved. Sobrang saya lang.
May mga nakita akong nabibigyan ng blue paper, i dunno what those were.

Good luck sa ibang kukuha pa lang. Don't be nervous during the interview.

Tip ko isa lang. Just be honest with your answer. There are times na paulit ulit yun question so be consistent sa isasagot mo kaya dapat totoo lang sabihin mo para di ka malito. Got mine 10yrs multiple entry. For renewal na ulet sya. Goodluck!

pwede ba pumasok sa  loon ang daddy and older sister age 10year old (she already have the tourist visa 2 yeard ago)  ng 2 kids kona for interview? or they need to stay outside the interview place? thank you

What about a senior citizen applying on her own? My brother and I are Australian citizens so we don't need to apply for a visa pero magkakasama kami sa trip.

Pag ininterview sya, malamang sya lang aattend. Are all the consuls American? She doesn't want to speak English kasi. Nagiging mute, all of a sudden! Pwde bang irequest na Filipino ang mag interview?

Or if not, can someone else (non applicant) accompany her to the interview?

There were actually a lot of questions but they were just easy:

Me: Just go on a tour
C: Do you have relatives there?
M: Yes. My great uncle, uncles and a lot of cousins
C: What is your current work?
M: Network engineer at xxx company.
C: For how long?
M: more than 2 years
C: What was your previous work?
M: Provisioning engineer at xxx company
C: And for how long?
M: More than 2 years too
C: How long have you been in that industry?
M: More than 5 years.
C: Did you study here in the philippines?
M: Yes
C: Have you visited any countries before except the ph?
M: Yes, I just went to HK last December.
C: Any other countries?
M: Yes, australia, singapore, malaysia, thailand, japan, south korea, taiwan, indonesia, cambodia, vietnam.
C: What did you do in Australia?
M: Just went on a tour,
C: How long have you been in Australia?
M: Just 5 days.
C: Where do you plan to go in the US?
M: Just the west coast, Explore LA city and go to disneyland, go to Yosemite national park, Las Vegas and also San Francisco to see the golden gate bridge. If time still permits, I would like to squeeze Arizona on my itinerary just to discover and explore the Grand Canyon.
C: Ok congratulations, you'll receive your visa within 1 week.
M: Oh wow, thank you.

Whew! Kala ko made-deny. Dami kasi nadeny before ko and dun sa ibang windows.

Hello, kapag sa interview ba, tatanungin nila when ko plan mag US? Right now kasi hindi ko pa alam when, I just want to get a US Visa na but as to when, baka 1-2 years from now pa lang. Ano kaya safe na answer kapag ganun? Thanks! =)

Not sure kung pwede ang more than 1 non-applicant companion ng minors at seniors.

^When I applied for my visa last year, tinanong ako kung kelan ang plan ko pumunta ng US. Today ang appointment naman ng daughter ko at hindi naman kami tinanong. Better be prepared with an answer though. Kahit anong date naman, it?s non-committal anyway. Siguro ensure lang na yung nasa DS 160 at yung isasagot sa interview ay parehong dates.

I was observing people (applicants and employees of the embassy). Nakakaloka yung tension. Yung nasa isang window sa step 2 (finger scanning) was so intimidating. Ang lakas ng boses at wala talagang lambing ang boses hehe. Sa almost 1.5 hours na ipinila namin for the interview, sya yung naririnig namin.

Based on observation, mas madaming nadeny kesa na approve (while we were waiting at least). Amusing yung mga trick questions ng consuls. It pays to have faith, and to be focused, consistent, and confident.

Understood ba na once you apply for tourist visa, automatic 10 years ibibigay? I also want to apply this year pero planning to travel next year or in two years time pa. Thanks

^i think she meant last year sya nabigyan ng visa while yung recent na interview is for her daughter naman.

Hindi automatic yung 10 years na ME. Pwedeng 6 months lang ang ibigay, depende pa rin sa decision ng consul. Just be honest pag tinanong ka when you plan to go, kung sabihin mong in the next 2 years pa okay lang yun kung yun talaga ang plan mo.

^Tama sis simang, my visa appointment was last year and my daughter's was yesterday.

^^Yung sinundan namin sa interview kahapon, parang 2 (or 3) years yung visa nya kasi the consul asked why she didn't travel yet when she got her visa in 2016. Sabi nya she got pregnant. Tapos sabi ng consul she needs to travel soon because her visa is expiring soon.

May mga old travel visas na ako sa AU, Japan and Schengen. I was thinking to apply for US visa this time because I thought automatic 10 years naman pag na-grant. Anyway, I just wish na 10 years ang maibigay haha. My trip is solely for travel only and no relatives in US too.
