^ Hi Sis! Is it possible to check the earliest date available? Planning to apply for US visa but need to have the appointment before September 9 as I am leaving the Philippines.  Short vacation lang kasi ako. If wala na available date then hindi na ako mag babayad sa bank. sayang naman baka maexpire yung payment if hindi lang din ako tutuloy sa appointment.

My husband and I are schedule for non-immigrant visa interview on Aug 16.

hi! good luck po sa inyo. pwede po malaman kung kelan kayo nagpa-sched? gusto ko lang malaman kung gaano katagal ang iintayin for an appointment. mag-aapply din kasi ako in the coming months.

i just submitted DS160 online. iprint ko na lang yung confirmation. i cant find yung link where magpapaschedule?

however, i wanna do the schedule sa september pa kasi ghost month ngayon. if i pay sa september, usually ba may makukuha akong sched the same month?

wala bang expiration yung form? also, nilagay ko dun sa form is november ako magvisit, kaso yung event na pupuntahan ko is until end of october lang pala.

pano na yun? can i submit new application na lang?

Yung father name ko na nasa birth certificate ko ay halimbawa: JUAN JOHNSON
pero nung kumuha siya ng birth certificate para mag apply ng passport, wala pala siyang surname kaya nagpagawa na kami ng affidavit of discrepancy and now he's using JUAN DELA CRUZ (surname ng lola ko) at ito na din gamit niya sa passport.

Sa DS-160 na father's name, alin kaya ang dapat na sundan ko? Yung nasa birth certificate ko na JUAN JOHNSON OR yung nasa birth certificate niya na JUAN DELA CRUZ?

Tumawag ako US embassy call center para itanong pero sabi nila personal information daw ito at hindi sila pwede mag bigay ng info. Sagutin ko daw based on my best judgement    nalilito na ako waaahhh!!!

I've shared my experience in previous threads. Basically, you just try and try like dun sa pag apply ng passport sa DFA para makakuha ng gusto mong schedule.

Hmmm...kahit wala pang flight, sis? Like kunyari if ma-approve gusto namin mga 3 weeks sa US, so
sa itinerary lalagay namin yung detailed itinerary na balak namin puntahan, gaya nung itinerary
na need din when applying for Japanese Visa? Thanks! =)

Hi Sisses

I hope you could shed light on my situation. 

1.  I am a holder of my second 10-year multiple entry visa. 
2.  My first visa was issued 2001.  I was just a minor then - I was 17.  My Dad, my brother and I were all approved as a family.  Hindi kasama ang mommy ko kasi she's a paralytic so she didn't even bother getting a passport.  I was able to visit using this first visa twice - once in 2005 and another in 2011.  My Dad was able to use it in 2010 and my brother used his in 2011 (kasama ko).
3.  All three of us were granted another ten years in March 2012 - we renewed as a family and I was still single that time.
4.  I got married in December 2012 and renewed my passport in April 2013.  I renewed it together with my Dad and brother, but I already had my name changed to my married surname.

Questions are:

1.  Can I change my name sa visa to married name? 
2.  If not, can I still travel with a visa having my maiden name and a passport bearing my married name?
3.  I am planning to secure tourist visas for my husband and my son.  How can they apply and refer to me as "travelling with them" to make the application easier and make it appear that we are travelling as a family?

^1.) No, you can't. Your valid visa remains as is.

2.) Yes. You can use your valid US visa on your expired passport just bring documents i.e. marriage certificate to prove your change of name on your new passport.

3.) Your husband and son can apply as a family. Correct me if I am wrong but if I remember right there is a question in the application form where they can state that they will be travelling with a family member holding a valid US visa.

Pardon me for this last question:  What would be a good "show money" figure in our bank account when I start the processing for my mag-ama?

^To be honest the amount of money in one's bank account is just a very small factor in a visa's approval (though it is a given that the applicant can show/prove that they have the financial capability to travel).The consuls focus more on the applicant's strong ties to the country like one's job tenure, stability, family, etc. Something that the applicant will be obligated to go back to, yung hindi sila mag-TNT once they arrive in the US.

Hi I would like to share my experience nun nag apply ako ng visa together with my 11 years old son.

January 14 husband fill out the form online and pay 7,800++ for visa application. May open na schedule that Friday that week which I believe 3days upon pag pasa ng form sabi ko no next or next next week na landed January 27.

Wala kaming phone pero yun headset ko nasa pouch so bawal padin pala iniwan ko sa nagpapaiwan na babae sa labas 100 ang fee nabalikan ko naman. and by the way kasabay ko pa sila maja salvador, jc de vera, paulo avelino and others.. ahihi

Nun interview na kabado ako kasi yun mga nauna sakin kahit mag isa or as a family denay lahat! OMG!!!

So turn nnmn, I was advise na no necessary answer hanggat walang tinatanong pa etc.
Ang pagkakatanda ko lang, tinanong kung sino mag fifinance ng stay ko sa states sabi ko sarili ko. I have a business.

Where are you going to stay?
Pasadena California. In my mother in laws house.

for how long?
This Summer. April - May. (Etchos lang, wala pa talaga ako itinerary)

Do you have other relatives besides your mom in law in the US?
Yes. I have my uncle residing in LA as well.

Where do you plan to go?
Of course go on shopping. (which is true!) I'd like to visit huge outlet stores, universal studios, vegas and other places

how much money do you have in the bank?
(I have my bank statement with me, I prepare my stock certificates just in case din, with land title and all)
Around 900k.

Does your husband have a US visa?
(hindi kami sabay mas nauna siya nag apply, incentive sa work niya kaya nakapag apply and approve)
Yes.

Do you have his passport with you?
(binigay ko yun passport)
Yes.

tapos final na yun birthdays. once tinanong ang birthday alam ko approve na yun eh. kaya nakatunog na ko.

ang sabi OKAY EXPECT your busy next week.

Tingin ko hindi naman, hindi tinanong yung birthday namin pero approved.  Sa case ko,  my husband and i apply.  Wala kaming baby.  Tinanong kami:
1. Do you have relatives in us?  No.
2. Do you study in college?  Graduated already.  Where?  Ateneo de naga and delasalle university.
3. What is your work?  Accountant , helps family business (husband)
4. How much do you earn?  26878 (government accountant ako) and 30k.
5. Where did you travel?  Japan and schengen. 
Type lang siya ng type habang nagtatanong.
The vo said ok your visa is approved. Less than 5 mins lang interview.  No proofs asked. Different pa surname namin ng husband ko. Kakapalit ko lang kasi ng passport bago kami ikasal kaya hindi namuna ako nagpa change name sa passport.  Sayang eh. 
Siguro lucky na amerikana yung naginterview samin.  Yung parang chinese yung mukha na vo parang lahat denied.

Just had our interview this morning and medyo marami nag apply.we were expedited kasi yung baby namin yung kukunan ng visa. We were assigned at window 24. The caucasian guy nag i-interview medyo wala ata sa mood kasi he denied the 2 applicants before me.puro pa naman family.actually parang andami na deny kasi yung family din on the other window eh denied.
The lady before me was explaining pa para ma grant ng visa but the consul was hard on her.she attempted several tries to convince the him pero matigas si consul 24 and was telling the lady na to step aside. Kawawa naman kasi may kasama pa naman  bata.

Consul just asked about our business and where we intend to visit. Since me and my hubby has US visa na he asked for it para ma check. Baby got approved. Praise god! Dali lang natapos kasi no finger scan na and no queueing..no paper was handed

Hi everyone! I have a question. I have applied for B1/B2 visa for me and my son. I already paid and scheduled my appointment. Just want to clarify if I still need to make a separate appointment for my son? Kase di ba tinanong kung sino kasama ko, then I inputted my son's name, confirmation number and passport number. In the appointment confirmation kase, ang applicant name ako lang but the MRV barcodes on the 2nd page has mine and my son's. Ok na ba yon or need ko pa gumawa ng separate profile  or separate appointment for my son? Kindly enlighten me.

May question lang ako regarding sa travel itinerary na ginagawa ko. Balak ko kasi i-surprise ang mom ko sa San Diego. Kailangan ko ba siya ilagay or dapat wag nalang?

October 28 to 30 – Surprise my mother who is in San Diego whom I have not seen for 6 years and stay there for 3 days.
