May I know if anyone here got Blooming hobby or Southern Blooms as their florist? Wala kasi ako masearch na feedback, from here or Facebook. TIA

We went yesterday sa I Do In The Sky bridal fair and I'm so happy na nakapag book na kami ng venue after super deliberation.  We went to check the ff:

1. Oriental Luxury Suites
- Nice yung place nya for 65k venue rental + 10% surcharge from the caterer, Oriental vibes talaga parang Bali inspired kasi yung place. Hindi ko kasi peg yung ganon so h2b and I crossed this out of our list.  Naka 10k off sila kahapon sa fair so 55k sana sya for the venue or rent the entrire place (incldg 7 bedrooms) for 120k only - again, this was a promo fair kapag nagbook through fair.

2. The Glen's
- 3 hectares and super solemn ng place, forest-y feels sya so pwedeng pwede lalo na pag rustic yung theme. Ang minimum to book nga lang is 100k so kayo na mamimili kung ano yung isasama nyo, the venue kasi is 65k pero you need to add para maging 100k yung bayad.

3. Aquila Crystal Palace
- We decided to book our reception here!! We got it at 50% off kahapon and nakuha namin sya for only 55k! Waived fees (no corkage too!) pag via fair nabook. Super happy! Parang mini version ng Fernbrook ang itsura nya. Bago pa sya and sabi ng GM dadagdagan pa daw ng crystal bridge para sa grand entrance.


So ayun mostly ng major suppliers namin booked na.

^ hi sis, heads up lang po ito ha, hindi ako nagbabadmouth... Sa Weddings At Work (w@w) kasi halos thousands of brides and grooms ang nagpapalitan ng mga feedbacks, suggestions, etc and if I remember it right, may 3 or 4 na thread doon na panay hindi okay ang feedback. Like first, sa owner, parang may past issue ata sa owner tapos meron din something kung paano makipag communicate si owner. Another thread naman is about how different the venue is in person as compared to the pictures in flyers and other forms of advertisement, as in OA daw yung picture tapos ibang-iba sa personal. Yung isa naman, namention na parang screen grabs lang daw yung mga setup na pinopost nila. These are the feedbacks/comments that I've personally read. Noon kino-consider ko din si Aquila kasi Fairytale/Vintage glam yung theme namin but because of these feedbacks nga, we didn't push through nalang.

I have no intention to make you regret sis ha. FYI lang itong mga to.

^capsulemuffin - Hi sis! I'm also a member of WaW/Weddings at work. Actually cinonsider ko din yung Aquila to be our wedding venue since ang lapit nga niya sa church namin which is OLLP but when I read all the feedbacks sa waw about the place and the owner, somehow na bother ako so major turn off samin ni h2b since pinabasa ko din sakanya yon, better check it out sis. Mejo mahaba yung thread about it. Agree ako kay sis yn061515 mejo madaming threads sa waw regarding that venue.

Thanks for the feedback sissies! We went there to do ocular last Sunday and so far okay naman yung meeting namin with the GM. The drapes were totally different compared to the pics on their Facebook page, parang sa Hillcreek na yung itsura nya and the GM said staple na yung dun, meaning no additional charges unlike other venues na pag may drapes eh may add-ons. Currently madaming iniimprove sa place, and they have forwarded na yung contract namin mentioning all fees are waived and no corkage fees.

As for the set-up, Passion Cooks yung caterer namin so panatag na ko na magiging maganda yung outcome (hopefully!)

I appreciate your feedbacks and I'm hoping maging smooth yung preps lalo na with the venue since nakapagdown na din kami.

For as long as happy and confident ka with Aquila, that's all that matters.
Just let them know na lang din that you are aware of the nega feedbacks para they would avoid repeating/doing the same on your wedding. Aquila is relatively new din naman and for sure they are continuously working on improving and making it a better venue. For sure the owner is aware din naman of the feedbacks... Hope all will be well.

^ Agreeing with you sis. As long as ,confident ka with Aquila that's what matters. Trust your supplier nalang sabi nga nila.  Pero for more other supplier reviews sis I highly suggest you joining waw laking tulong talaga niya.

Hi sis chriszy 😊 For sounds and lights you can also try js mina ...their rates are a bit higher compare sa iba pero quality kasi talaga yung mga gamit nila 😊

For Otd - consider mo din si Ms. dimple anonuevo as in super maalaga siya 😊

Florist - you can also include on your list yung newly supplier ng tagaytay which is bridal blooms flowershop 😊 New yung business pero owner has been into events for decades 👍 As ive seen on their facebook "bridal blooms flower shop" they have summer promo na may free na strings lights ,check them out for more details 😊

Anyway baka you can also consider renting a string lights ,,you can check on tagaytay string lights rental facebook page ..they are still on their introductory rates..super affordable at quality ang setup din 😊😊👍

Hi sis, I think ang nagpapamahal sa bouquet is your choice of flowers. Yung flowers ba na gusto mo is in season? Imported? Syempre pati yung style. Yung cascading type, mas mahal sa round bouquet kasi mas maraming flowers ang kelangan. Yung peonies mas mahal kesa sa local roses.

Second I think is yung fee ng florist. Vatel Manila is beyond mid-range, but they really deliver. The styling and the flowers used are unique per bride. Tagaytay florists like RCJC, Il Fiore have the same price range. Mas mahal ng konti si Tita Sonia of Splendido, pero for me mas okay ang outputs ni Tita Sonia. Yho-Ans in Silang is cheaper, but okay din sila magdeliver.

Bottomline, I'm sure you have your pegs na. Try to contact your preferred florist, paquote ka. and try to play around with alternatives is hindi pasok sa budget mo.

Can be Balay Indang included? haha. I booked Balay Indang as my ceremony, reception and catering supplier The place has a nice and warm feel. Affordable pa sya We booked Joel Faller as our stylist/florist

Hi everyone! Newbie here..binabasa ko yung thread although ang haba na..kaya di ko na mabasa lahat. Hehe..
Anyway, my wedding is on Dec. 18, 2017 gusto ko sana sa tagaytay pero it seems like mejo late na. Still..i want to ask kung meron may alam na pwede irent na venue for ceremony lang sa tagaytay with view ng taal lake. Every suggestion would be very much appreciated. Thanks im advance!
