Tagaytay Wedding (Thread 15)

This is a review i posted on hillcreek gardens' FB page:

This is a review coming from a wedding supplier who has done not just one event in your venue, but more than 5 times already.

I am Ayie of Imbitado Events. Yesterday, we were at Hillcreek for a Christian wedding. preps to reception happened there. From the very beginning, yesterday's bride had complaints already with her account executive from Hillcreek. But labas ako sa story na yan. I should focus on the event day itself.

Since it was a garden ceremony, i have advised the couple to get a tent because the weather in Tagaytay is hit and miss. Bride decided to get one but cancelled last minute. The setup in the courtyard was done already and it was beautiful when suddenly it got dark and it looked like it's gonna rain. I have advised the staff of Joel Faller to secure the altar, the aisle flowers, and the curtain arc so they won't get soaked. I already advised the bride that if it rains, the ceremony will happen at the reception area. It was around 2pm when it rained heavily. We didn't bring the chairs to the reception anymore since it won't fit. The skies miraculously cleared up around 3pm. So the groom said he really wanted the ceremony to be in the garden. Because we are troopers and we know that this is the couple's dream, I told the staff of Joel Faller to return all necessary arrangements to the courtyard. It was the arc, small flower arrangements and i think 1 or 2 table and 1 wooden bench for the altar. This is where my disappointment started.

We are supposed to start at 4pm. We started wiping all the chairs because they are wet. We asked the AE assigned that day if we could have 2 staff from Hillcreek to help us. She told my staff na "i will check kasi lahat ng tao may naka-assign nang gagawin." So alam na, dead end agad. Wala daw staff but there were people going around just looking at us while wiping all the chairs. Do you need 3 maintenance guys to turn on the waterfalls? I saw them walked towards the waterfalls and then walked away after tapos they watched us from the balcony of the venue lang. Sige, wala naman ako magagawa if they don't like to send someone. I asked from a lady in Hillcreek uniform if we can borrow a dry cloth/rag to wipe the chairs to completely dry them but she said, "wala po, basa lahat, bagong laba lahat ng basahan." Wow, basahan na lang, pinagkait mo pa. This lady also just watched us while we finish all 100+ chairs to wipe.

Oo, hindi mo trabaho magpunas ng silya. Hindi din naman yan trabaho ng coordinators o ng stylist. Pero ginagawa namin yan para sa mag-asawa. Nagreklamo pa one staff and said "kasi nasa loob na, pinalabas pa ulit." Hindi nyo naiintindihan that we have to fulfill a couple's dream?! If you have been thinking all your life na you'll get married in a garden, we would like to make it happen if it is possible. I am a very realistic coordinator, i don't ask for the moon and the stars, ang kailangan lang natin puso para sa mag-asawa. Nagbigay ako ng instructions to go back sa courtyard kasi alam kong kaya. konting punas ng silya, and we are good to go. Humihingi lang kame ng tulong para mapabilis kasi andun na lahat ng bisita at naghihintay. The boys of Joel Faller helped us wipe the seats after they finished transferring all the items needed. The boys of JS Mina didn't complain, as well. Why did your staff treated us that way? Hindi tayo laging panay pera sa industriya ng kasalan. Laging mahalaga kung ano ba ang iiwan nating serbisyo para sa ikakasal/ikinasal.

^This is sad. And frankly, for someone like me who has booked this venue and whose wedding is not yet done, this is a letdown.

Really just praying they will take this is a learning point and we won't have to experience this.

^ when people say here that venue rental is P125k etc. is that only for the venue? Wala pang catering or flowers/decor?

If so, wow ang mahal.

How much on average and Tagaytay caterers? Plus a lot of suppliers consider Tagaytay OOT so you get charged an OOT fee.

I'm just curious because I considered Tagaytay before finally deciding on Bohol.

Hello share ko lang rin experience namen..

Kahit kame rin po nung nagprenup kame sa Hillcreek umuulan that time, nakiusap ako kung pwede gamitin yung room nila kahit saglit lang kasi hindi namen magamit ang venue nila dahil ang lakas ng ulan.. Nung una, ayaw.. Tapos nakiusap talaga ako na kahit 30mins lang, ayun pumayag naman at nagawa namen yung Pajama theme then umaraw na bigla..
Okay naman sila pero Ang dameng bawal.. Nagbaon kame ng chips, biscuits and drinks as per Ms. JO pwede naman daw.. Sinita ng guard yung mga kasama nameng photog etc. bawal daw. Doon daw kumaen sa loob ng sasakyan..
Naimbyerna lang ako.. Buti hindi na ko nagreact kasi ayokong pumanget sa pictorial..
Hindi na ko nagTIP kasi naazar ako eh haha..

Aww this is a sad experience. We had our prenup here, fortunately no issues encountered naman.
Hopefully for future brides, this won't happen again.

Hi!  I read a lot of the threads here but this is the first time I'll be posting.

I'm also a Tagaytay Bride, but ours is not until March 2018

We already booked the church which is Our lady of Lourdes Parish and got my first choice which is the day before my birthday! Booked early kasi natakot akong maubusan ng weekend slot for March 2018.

Ngayon were already looking for a venue for reception. Nag start na kami mag ocular ni h2b last weekend and were eyeing on Angelfields, The Glens, Villa Ibarra, Mahogany Place. Any feedback sa mga yon?

And nakita din namin yung Hillcreek gardens, Alta Veranda de Tibig and The Hills pero mejo malayo sa church. Maganda sana yung Alta kaya lang its so far, with The Hills naman di ko masyado like since parang hindi well maintained yung place.

^Angelfield sis! That was our 2nd venue of choice. Ang ganda dun.

We booked Alta Veranda kasi it's near St. Benedict. 7 min. away lang. Nafeel namin yung 'this is it' moment nung nag-ocular inspection kami sa venue and church.

^ yes sis, love at first sight din ako sa Angelfields, too bad booked na yung Garden sa date ng wedding namin. Indoor nalang available mas gusto ko kasi yung Garden nila. Parang sa The Glens kami okay lang din naman since ang ganda din naman don. hehe.

March ang wedding namin, malamig padin ba kahit papano?

Ask ko lang din mga sis sinong kinuha niyo for catering? Eyeing between Josiah's and K by Cunanan pero sa mga nababasa ko here sobrang daming choices pa pala ang pwede. So i think I can consider them too.  Any suggestions? Or feedback from the one's I mentioned?

^^ Hello Casa de Corazon girls! We went there last weekend. I have photos of how it looks like currently, on going construction pa sympre. Pero like you, excited ako sa outcome.  Kuya Willie told me na meron sila wedding sa Feb with one of GMA 7's staff with AlDub daw as guests, kaya sobrang papagandahin nila yung place kase additional marketing din yun for them. Sorry OT na yata. excited lang. haha!

hi ChixC18 - Try to check din fernwood gardens tagaytay. You can price lock na their 2016 rates since matagal pa naman ang wedding mo. Happy preps.

^this coming December soft opening na daw yung Casa. Nakaabot naman sa promo nila. 
 So normal rent price nila is 75K.


OLLP din and still looking for a prep venue.

@ayouweinlove Not yet sis. Pero and parang sobrang pricey don out of budget. Kasi nung nakita namin sila sa bridal fair sa tagaytay it was 200k venue lang ata? Not sure anong inclusion non.

@girlush Nope hinda pa sis, ang napuntahan palang namin na prep venue prospect is Yellow coco and Taal vista, mejo strict sa taal vista min of 10 rooms ang kelangan ibook sakanila e, sad. Kayo sis? Ano na mga napuntahan niyo? Try namin sa carmelence lodge tignan din. May florist and caterer ka na sis? San din venue mo for reception?
