Kung joke man o hindi yung rape issue ni digong, alam natin na sya yung tipo ng kandidato na pag ayaw mo sa kanya, eh di wag mo syang iboto. Basta magpapakatotoo sya sa sarili nya. Ang masasabi ko lang is, sana in the future isipin nyang mabuti yung mga bibitawan nyang salita.

If he gets elected, he must understand that a simple statement coming from a President can start war between countries, and affect our international relations. We are not judging him because he lacked class compared to other candidates. We just wanted a President who is fierce, can initiate change, but still has empathy for the public.

^I agree with you sis. That is attainable naman. I truly admire his being honest and true to his words Pero if he could refine his language mas lalo pa nyang maiaayos ang lahat. Nevertheless, he is still my President.

Ang oa lang kasi nung iba magreact regarding this issue. Bakit nung nagjoke si vice ganda about kay jessica soho hindi naman sila nagreact ng ganyan. Nung nagsabi si korina na dapat eh sa Japan nalang yung bagyo kaysa sa Pinas hindi naman sila nagreact ng ganyan. Tas may putol na video lang na napanood regarding his comment todo condemn na. IMO  refining the language is attainable pero yun mga mapag panggap, plastic at selfish na ang iniiisip Lang ay personal interest Kaya kumandidato and parang Baka sakit or earthquake lang ang makapagpabago sa kanila. Mas mahirap  yun.

Duterte pa rin! Hindi nagbago ang pagtingin ko at paniniwala ko na sya ang kailangan ng Pilipinas. Oo, maling mali ang rape joke, hindi maganda, hindi talaga. Pero I still believe that he is the only one that can lessen the criminality sa bansa natin. Most of the time, madumi ang bunganga ni Mayor, but, I'd rather have him than those candidates who speak flawlessly pero mga walang kwenta naman.

Gusto ko yung feeling na kapag uuwi kame ng Pinas, hindi ako matatakot o mag aalala na may kukuha sa anak ko kapag nalingat ako ng konti. Gusto kong maranasan na ang mga tao may takot sa batas. Hindi yung papatay ng dahil sa drugs kahit umagang tapat at may cctv sa poste. Yes, ngyari to sa lugar namin, na natatakot na kameng lumabas minsan dahil baka may naka motor na bigla ka nalang babarilin. Or, hoholdapin ang bakery, hindi pa nakuntento sa pera, pinagbababaril pa ang mga tindera. Jeske! Nakakatakot!!!

I dont care with the "rape-joke" issue. He can joke whatever he likes, as long as he will do his DUTY if he will win as a president. People are just getting too sensitive with the issue because the election is getting nearer. #justDUit

that is what's wrong with our country. maliit na bagay pinapalaki. kaya hindi tayo umaasenso ang kitid kasi ng mga utak. i watched the news today and read sa fb yung mga links ng inquirer and manila bulletin pati gma news they blew it out of proportion. para sa mga hindi nakakapag fb who only relies on tv and print paano na? my mom included. she told me matatalo na daw si duterte. wtf?

ganyan ba? sobrang manipulation naman yan ng media. meron pang political analyst na nagsasabing duterte will lose supporters because of this. as far as i can see he is still our last card. i don't want another 6yrs. of this kind of government.

after watching his interview about the story behind his rape joke lalo ko siya nagustuhan because i know he is willing to die for his people. how about other candidates?

Hindi kasi siya words lang. For instance, when people speak out against Trump and his bigoted comments, people are not speaking out because they prefer flowery language or political correctness. Words have real effects and thanks to the insanity that said potty mouth has been campaigning on, blatant racism in the US is spreading like wildfire. It influences people's behavior and attitudes towards each other. And it influences policy. When we are voting for someone, we can't just look at their track record. We have to look at their beliefs as well.

While I think that Duterte's rivals are milking this issue, I also think that people need to care about the implications of his "joke". Add that to his womanizing and allegations of acts of lasciviousness hurled against him and his insane apology (it wasn't an apology) and you have a man who 1) Refuses to accept criticism and 2) Whose sexism is so deeply rooted, he doesn't understand why people are angry because he doesn't see anything wrong with it.

He may have done good things for women in Davao. But he is also contributing to a culture that thinks that men can hurt women with impunity, which defeats all of his efforts. And while I like his pragmatism, I'm afraid that his attack on drugs, his "kill them all" belief and the way he reduced this grievance to his "gutter language" show that he oversimplifies problems. His inability to correctly diagnose the roots of all our issues means that he won't be able to come up with any real-world solutions.

If he has any chance of being a good president like his supporters believe he would be, if he really wants to change The Philippines, he needs to come back down to earth and listen to his critics more.

^^I agree its blown out of proportion and now even BBC reported it and the Australian Ambassador reacted about it. Tapos paulit ulit sa news at social media. If i were one of Duterte's campaign manager maglalabas ako ng bigger & more important topic para matabunan issue and make it so na walang sisiraan.

Anyway on bad joke issue, I'm disappointed with duterte on this because it was admittedly  only "his" way of telling what happened and yes he mas MAD when he said it...But had he not spoken that one liner, wala naman sana issue na ibabato sa kanya ngayon.

My friends who are also Duterte supporters bigla nalang super tanggol in a very DEFENSIVE way. Hindi din maganda kasi nakikita mo na agad ang influence ng ganun sa mga Pilipino. pansin ko para lang mapagtanggol si duterte madami ng nagiging bastos on social media, madami ng palamura at palaaway. (Though i am not completely  blaming this kay duterte kasi nasa pagpapalaki padin yan ng magulang). Pwede din naman kasi ipagtanggol si Mayor ng hindi naghahanap ng away.

Another thing that concerns me is
If he continues to speak this way
Kasi ganyan magsalita ang bisaya
Ang barbaric, ang hindi konyo etc
Paano kapag bigla nalang siya may masabi na against another country? Baka mawalan tayo ng allies or ng investors at magkaron pa ng kaaway.

Yun lang worry ko..sa way lang niya ng pagsasalita, sa GAWA alam ko naman magagawa niya & he can make a HUGE CHANGE. Pero dahil hindi naman lahat satin
Salitang kanto magkipag-usap or Bisaya na makakaintindi sa ganong klase ng pagkwento...sana kaya din niya mag adjust since hindi lang ang Davao irerepresent niya kundi buong Pinas... At hindi lang within Philippines kundi sa buong mundo.

Nanghihinayang ako, just as he was leading in the polls, this happened. Now I see friends converting to other candidates. Other friends that previously had profile pictures of Du30 changed their profile pictures. I think that Miriam is now "active" mukhang some of Du30's votes will go to her. So we're back to either Poe or Binay winning the presidency.

With just 3 weeks before the elections, big challenge talaga ito sa campaign team nya. Ngayon pa na CBCP na ang nagsalita and a lot of personalities are condoning what he said, and it reached international media na.

i can feel that now because some presidentiables are willing to go to hell because they want the power and trappings etc of being a president.

its crunch time and the they are going to war.. its a bloodbath every where.. wala na un ginawa nya for how many years.. its sad pero weird kase tanggap nga natin si erap dati na HS drop out at womanizer na maraming asawa at anak sa ibat ibang babae.. im aware that our country cannot be changed in 6 yrs time but its high time we change for the better.. the traditional politicos have had their way since time immemorial and yet we are still here.. galing lang ng spin doctors nila.. sana Duterte can still be victorious over the trapos we have now..

Nalulungkot ako kasi pinalaki na talaga ng media ang issue. I'm not saying that what duterte said is appropriate Pero sobra naman pinalaki. Grabe ang media is a na si Ted failon ang daming  sinasabi eh hello! Bayaran Lang naman sila. Nag lalabas sila ng issue Tapos pag nabayaran sila tahimik na sila. Nasaan na ang kultura ng pinoy about dignity? When I was still working in a govt agency 15years ago, may ginawang issue doon sa president namin that time, aired sa programs ni Ted failon yung interview ang dami nyang sinabi na Hindi maganda Pero pagtapos na I settle sa kanya ang gusto nya tumahimik na sya. Nobody is perfect lahat tayo may kanya kanyang kahinaan Pero sana naman kahit konti bigyan ng halaga ang dignity na Hindi lahat para sa pera Lang and power.

I'm not praising duterte with what he said Pero sa interview Nya to answer that "rape joke" totoo pa din sa puso Nya ang mag sinagot Nya. Walang paliguy ligoy. He has explained it according to how it has happened. Hindi katulad nun ibang TRAPO mula simula ng kampanya hanggang sa maupo na sa pwesto puro pretenses pa din hayst! Gusto ko Lang sana maging totoo sila Pero simpleng simpleng bagay Lang Hindi nila kayang gawin. Nakaka frustrate.
