^I've been planning my (dream) wedding since 2008! Haha! So planning today for your wedding in 2018 is not too early.

You can collect ideas first to determine the style you both like then next check for suppliers.  Just "LIKE" them on Facebook and sort them based on their field (photography, videography, coordinator, gowns, stylist, etc.) so when the time comes na ready na kayo, naka-sort na lahat ng gusto ninyo (so somehow parang na-shortlist ninyo na).  You can also do an excel file for each and just list down the suppliers, church, venue, etc you both like then shortlist them after.  Minsan kasi habang tumagatal nag-iiba taste natin so through time nafi-filter ninyo kung ano gusto and ayaw ninyo.  Then if may extra time ka pa, search for current rates para you can also prepare a budgetary estimate as early as now.

Subscribe here too and other threads so when you're ready na, you would know the suppliers to watch out for (cross out from your list) and suppliers highly recommended by past and current brides.

Some couples already booked their coordinator for Jan, Feb, Mar and May 2018 weddings.  If you're both busy with work, now is the best time to plan para hindi kayo pressured sa oras kasi mabilis lang talaga matapos ang taon.

We got engaged May 2015 and our wedding is on Jan 2017. So no it's not too early, no matter what other people say. Lalo na kung like us na halos sunday lang talaga yung free time namin to go to bridal fairs or meet up with prospective suppliers.. Wag ka lang magmadali sobra sa pagbook, make sure na maresearch mo sila maski nakita mo sila sa fair. Resist yung impulse booking baka pag sisihan kasi

In my experience, I started booking suppliers 1 year and 7 months before our date. I think it took me 2 months to book all of them. I got to know more suppliers as time passed by so sometimes I still ask for their rates even though I already have suppliers. 1 year and 1 month before our date, I started getting responses that they are no longer available for my date:) So it pays to prepare early! You have the luxury to take your time and really study your options:) Im also pretty sure that some suppliers are almost fully booked for January 2018 weddings haha.

It is not 'too early' for me, sis! ☺️ Kasi ako din, we got engaged last May 2016 lang and our wedding will be on Feb 2017. We've been together for 9 yrs na and we started planning nung 6th year pa lang kami. And when he popped the question, dere deretso na yung prep namin. Mas maganda pag well-researched ka. And at the same time you can book early sa mga suppliers na nasa shortlist mo.

Hi girls! I've been a silent lurker here since my fiance proposed to me about 2 months ago. We've agreed to get married 1st quarter of 2018, for some reasons.

May I just ask your opinion. Is it too early for us to do the wedding preparations? Or time is just enough. Sorry if I've posted in this thread since I don't see yet a thread for 2018 brides.

I agree with our sissies here! We got engaged on June 2015, getting married on July 2017 and we booked our first supplier December 2015. Sis it's actually better to book early so you can lock prices of suppliers. They increase their prices around 10% per year. Also, as they said, the earlier you prepare, the more time you have to think about details of your wedding. You have all the time to research, create Pinterest boards, compare colors for motifs, read reviews and even watch out for our sis' weddings for inspiration. 
There might not be a "2018 Brides" thread yet (i think) but I'm pretty sure there are 2018 brides here already, taking notes and starting their preps. So no worry sis! Happy preps!

@tinay, sis not "too early" I got engaged last April and we'll have our wedding on November 2017. 1 yr and 6 months din yun we initially planned for a December 2017 wedding pero booked na yung dates (dates pa yun ha) nagustuhan namin, so we had no choice but to move it one month earlier.

My bestfriend will also get married on February 2018 and she started booking suppliers na. Church, venue and OTD na ang nabook niya. As early as now, marami na rin kasing nakareserve for latter part of 2017 and early 2018.

Same here sisses  we're getting married on Dec 2017 pa but we already booked the church and the venue last month. Sis, you and h2b would benefit a lot in booking suppliers early. Unang una, you can plan your finances better. hindi yung feeling mo palabas lahat ng money. Unti-unti yung bayarin so you won't feel robbed when your wedding day comes. Plus, you have more time to really settle on what you want and what you don't want to see/have on your wedding. Kaya girl, go mo na yan!

How much ba yung budget mo sis? You can check Alta Veranda de Tibig, super lapit lang dun and the place is stunning! Dun yung nabook naming venue. ☺️

Yes sis nakausap ko na yung bride nakapagbook sa casino filipino. Parang 20-30mins din yung travel time mula sa church sis. Yung isang nakita ko naman 45mins away from the church, 20k naman perp maganda yung pavillion. Pwede ko na iconsider kahit malayo.

LilaFowler, i agree with rowan on the next suppliers to book. Especially the caterer. When we booked ours kasi, yung top choice namin, di na sila available sa wedding date kaya we opted for the others na lang.

Photography is being done by friends.

I think next is video and book the event stylist. Very laid back yung coordinator ko. Sabi nya mga mid-September pa daw kami kailangan mag book.

I think kasi sa Panglao ang wedding namin di kasing hectic sa Manila/Tagaytay. I think churches sa Manila/Tagaytay more than 1 year ahead kailangan mag book. When I tried booking the church 10 months ahead sabi masyado pa daw malayo.

Don't worry sis, you still have time. Make sure lang din to book na caterer, p/v, otd, and host kasi yan din yung medyo mahirap i-book. The rest kahit mag chill ka na. Though, try to avoid din stressing out about the small details (kahit mahirap).

Sis LilaFowler my wedding is July 2017 and P/V and gown palang nabook ko. hahaha! I have finalized the suppliers for venue/catering and church, event stylist and coordinator and will meet them on Friday.  Pero yan palang din, still a long way to go. hahaha
