^ Konti lang ang weddings sa Bohol compared to Boracay... Pero I think better value for money. Hopefully makakita pa tayo ng other Bohol brides!

Venue - I've booked South Palms Beach resort. Kasi wide yung beach front nila and most reasonably priced. The other resort I looked at are Panglao Island Nature Resort so we can have the reception on the islet but I decided not to kasi nasa cliff side yung resort and mahihirapan bumaba yung mga oldies. Other resorts na recommended is Bellevue. Di maganda feedback sa Bohol Beach Club mahirap daw kausap ang management according to some suppliers.

Coordinator - I have Maleth Zafra as my coordinator. Full year coordination kinuha ko because overseas ako and very busy with work wala ako time to go to Bohol or magresearch ng suppliers. She's very nice and organized and she really knows what she's doing. I know someone who has used her before and maganda ang feedback. It was 40k for full coordination (50-75 guest wedding).

Church - I've pencil booked Panglao Church (St Augustine). Ang ganda ng church with the ceiling mural. And ang haba ng aisle so sulit ang wedding dress. Hahaha. My backup church is Sta Monica in Albur. Albur is actually my first choice pero it's quite far from Panglao. St Augustine kasi is scheduled for renovation and di pa macoconfirm ang booking until August.

Event stylist - Debating between Bluegrass and Floral Galleria. Bluegrass is more established kaya lang quoted me 10k more.

Dress - I got a dress from White Label. First fitting is still in Feb.

Sis, when is your wedding? I would suggest you book early kahit pencil book lang kasi I had issues with booking kahit na one year ahead. I had to move my wedding to a Sunday kasi someone else got my date na.

^ I was able to attend a birthday at RMH, i actually liked the place. Its nice, cozy and good ambiance din naman. When I learned its price tag, I was surprised! Sobrang sulit nga nya. Plus! maganda ang CR

I don't know who the caterer is during that time, but what I noticed that might be helpful is that 100 to 150 pax is okay. pero nung may nakita kaming setup more than 150. medyo masikip na. Cocktails can be done outside. If u plan to have a mobile bar, outside na din.

@LilaFowler - Nov 2017 pa, but since not one of us is from Bohol (even the guests), I'm scouting early (hope this is early enough! hehe). Venue -- SPR is our first choice too! Ganda ng beachfront! I was researching for feedback on SPR and found out that it's is actually part of the old Bohol Beach Club (I think the SPR part was the renovated part of BBC kasi under new owner na si SPR). How's the feedback of your coordinator regarding SPR, lalo na in terms of quality ng food for the reception and service? When it comes to online inquiries, I'm very satisfied sa handling nila, and as you said very financially accessible sila (and I also clarified with them if they have a rule requiring couples to book a certain number of rooms -- buti na lang they don't have that, because I won't be paying for guests' hotels hehe and I don't want to burden them by requiring them to book only at the reception venue). Also, when you said you moved your date -- this is because of South Palms' availability, or San Agustin's? 

SPR also recommended Blue Grass, parang sila ata ang pinaka-sikat na stylist/florist sa Bohol? Hehe. Kasi halos lahat ng Bohol weddings na nakikita ko online, lalo na the ones in SPR, sila ang may gawa, and I like their work. But I haven't inquired with them yet since hindi pa ako makapag-decide how I want the reception to look. I have a friend who just got married and she told me to hire somebody who does styling talaga (instead of somebody doing flowers lang) -- and I think it did her wedding good! It wasn't too big on flowers but the other details were executed well (she had a rustic-themed wedding in Baguio). Have to remind myself that the beach is beautiful na to begin with para hindi masobrahan sa mga pegs, hehe!

It seems nga na San Agustin is the nearest choice we have. Buti nasabi mo na scheduled sya for renovation! Have to note that, thank you!

Can you site where did you hear or read that nega feedback about Serg? I haven't seen any pa kasi eh same with sis lakwatchera. So far with us naman, wala pang issues. Since the day we booked him exactly 1 year ago na this month, lahat ng questions ko were answered politely the best way he could. There's one thread here na all praises ang former bride nya, re their performance and outputs nga eh.

If you have any sites of that nega review na galing mismo na former client nya yung feedback, can you share it with us? So we'll become aware din mga future couples nya.

newbie here! well not so newbie really kasi almost a year na akong naglulurk dito sa forum pero i only decided to register nung sure na kami sa date and church. feb 2017 kami and it will be challenging soon kasi i will be based abroad in a few weeks. hope i can get all the help i need sa fellow bride-to-bes.

They already had a wedding on the Saturday so we had to move ours to the Sunday.

Bluegrass is the event styling supplier for SPR. if you get the upgraded wedding package that includes the styling, sila yung supplier nila. So SPR will always recommend Bluegrass and vice versa. Magaling talaga sila pero I got turned off when I spoke to them kasi their quote is very high considering I wanted something very simple and my wedding party is small. Even my coordinator said that is very high compared to what they've done for her other clients. Floral Galleria quote me 10k less. I feel like they're taking advantage kasi nakita nila when I contacted them on Facebook that I'm from overseas.

The only other venue I was looking at is PNIR and the feedback is that SPR is better in terms of food and also better because they have a back up function room in case it rains. The other ones they've mentioned is bellevue. It has a similar beach front as SPR but I didnt like that they have this tall hotel type building in front.

SPR will give you discounted rates if you book a minimum of 5 rooms for 2 nights but there's no minumum requirement to get the venue.

If you're not from Bohol I would recommend a coordinator. Hassle maghanap ng supplier and magasikaso ng papers.

Hi mga sis! I havent booked our reception venue, caterer, florist, lights/sounds, gown supplier as well,lahat ng minor suppliers. My wedding is in feb 2017 at Tagaytay. Im starting to worry na baka wala nako makuhang venue saka caterer. I am based overseas and gusto ko sana ako mismo magcheck ng mga yon. When do you book your lights and sounds/minor suppliers pala?
