Right, you will always know your sister well. Siguro nagkaproblem siya sa finances lately so nahirapan siyang magbayad. I think you should talk to her about her issue with the finances. Along with that she should understand the consequences of your situation - like I said above, mahirap nang makakuha ng big loans and CCs because the "bad record" will appear whenever you try to apply for a loan or credit at any financial institution. So you'll need to pay things in cash.
Paano kaya if you need a loan/credit for emergency purposes? Cash pa rin kayo (an emergency cash fund is better, but that is another thread here)?
Two things that you really need to accept -
1. Online banking is here to stay and there's a trend for banks and telcos to move from paper billing to online statements.
This said - need na natin learn na mag spot ng fake phishing sites (just like in real world - learn to spot fake goods and fake friends, LOL).
Your situation should be enough to already scare you out of wits for not being able to check right away. Mabilis kasing magreflect sa online sites/apps ang mga purchases than waiting for a paper statement so you can already do a call to the bank (or your sis) to even stop or question a purchase.
Actually, trying to avoid online banking will just increase you chances of your card getting caught in fraud - because the fraudsters know how take advantage of people "having no knowledge". Sabi nga, "knowledge is power", so learn enough.
Buti na lang, sa sister mo lang galing yung di mabayaran na bill. It's even more of a headache and a heartache if talagang fraud na yan.
One thing more - having more supplementary cards will even expose your credit line at risk too.
2. She will eventually need to rack up her own credit history. Kaya lang naman hesistant ang banks sa mga nasa call center (or other jobs na "negative" sa paningin nila) because people there tend to jump from one job to another so banks don't see it generally as a stable job. Pero that's just "one turn-off point" lang ng banks and they just don't decline outright just because they saw the occupation/company worked for. They will also consider yung job tenure, past credit history, even existing bank deposits (if they have access) and income.
Meron pa rin namang naaapprove kahit call center pa sila and usually because:
a) they may have stayed in their jobs and companies for quite a while,
b) they may have probably started out their credit history with small credit and/or maintained good standing in their telco bills, and also
c) they may have started their credit histories with secured credit cards (there is a separate thread here sa forum)
One good point to convince you that your sis will need to have a CC of her own is that in case something happens to you (wag naman) then she does not have to rely on your credit history to get things on her own.
I am not too sure if your sister's name is also reported sa CIC (hindi ako si banker) along with yours, but she has stayed long enough sa work nya (more than 2 years), she might want to consider applying credit on her own. Better yet, apply na lang siya ng low interest loans like SSS and PAGIBIG through her employer and use the proceeds to pay the CC bill.
Ang maganda lang dito, a bad credit history can always be repaired and this problem can always be solved.
