yung driver na naghatid sa amin sa aiport was offering us land sa panglao, pero wala naman kaming plan to buy. if ever we like sana beach front. but the land he was offering is not beach front kasi

Bihira ka na lang makakita ng beach front in Panglao nowadays since tourism boomed in the province. If ever meron man ang presyo is hindi pangbenta. Tapos an international airport will be opening soon in Panglao kaya good luck! We got our beach front property way back in 2004 nung hindi pa masyado pinapansin ang Bohol. I'll be back again next week to check on our construction. 

Ang dami na mga small restos/cafes cropping up all over the place kaya ang saya marami ng choices. The last one we tried was in Tagbilaran. The newly opened Socorro, a hole in the wall carinderia-style near the popular Acacia BBQ place. Meron hit and miss na food but most of them are good tapos super cheap pa! Average price ng ulam is Php35/serving!

Hi mga sis! I'm still backreading from the previous thread kaso we'll need to book a hotel na for our coming trip. Question lang about Bellevue, madami ba talaga mapapasyalan in that area? We're torn kase between SP and Bellevue. Mas prefer ko sana yung SP location wise, pero parang mas maganda ang amenities sa Bellevue that my 2yo can enjoy. Plus hubby says at least mas madali makapag-ikot sa Alona, madali nga ba? Or gaano ba kahirap/expensive ang travel to Alona if we decide to stay in Bolod? TIA.

Wow it's been years since last I've been to Bohol. Been meaning to go back Pero di ako makabalik, then earthquake happened

Now sana makapunta ulit ako.

Planning my itinerary 6D5N
1. Day 1 - Go to Cebu, then overnight doon

2. Take boat to Bohol
 Day 2 arrive - city tour
Visit Churches, tarsier, choc hills
Bee farm? Butterfly farm? - are they worth it for teens?
- any other places?

3. Day 3 Bohol - dolphin watching and island hopping, snorkel balicasag?

4. Day 4 Bohol - puede mag snorkel ulit sa ibang snorkeling area or sa balicasag lang meron?
San ok mag intro dive? (Yun safe and di masyado taga price)

5. Day 5 back to Cebu then from Cebu flight back home

In terms of Budget, how much kaya need ko I-set aside?
- 6D5N hotel accommodation - kasya 30k?
- 2-3 days tour (snorkeling tour + city tour + dolphin + one more snorkeling if there is) - how much kaya ito
- Food for 6 days - 10k?

^sobra-sobra yung budget mo na 10K for food if you're not going to eat at high end restos i.e. Hotel/resort restaurants. Average bill mo for two for lunch or dinner is anywhere from Php400-800 lang.

Check mo Henann, meron silang Oct-Nov promo of Php5800+ For a deluxe room with breakfast for two. Yung one-year anniversary promo naman ng Be Grand is Php6800+ with transfers and one time dinner for two.

^land tours are per car/van from Php2200 to 2500. Not so familiar with sea tours though.

Reason I'm asking coz full na sa south palms and Hennan and BBC sa dates sa gusto namin.

Do hotels provide airport transfers from Mactan airport? Kasi worry ko once we arrive in Cebu and plan to go straight to Bohol (hotel reservation in panglao for the whole stay), not sure if we can purchase ocean jet tickets in advance or immediately? we are arriving on a weekend.

^PINR is still there. It's on the same side as Bellevue, facing Cebu. Mas malapit lang ang PINR sa Tagbilaran while Bellevue is bandang dulo na ng Panglao.

Here's a list of some resorts you can look into:

You can also check Bohol Bee Farm though wala silang beach.

Most hotels/resorts provide complimentary airport/pier transfers from Tagbilaran only.

Once we stay sa south palms, easily accessible ba ibang restos, taking public transpo to town? Or should we rent nalang a van?

I'm dropping the Cebu leg of our trip, so pag land namin sa Cebu straight na kami to Bohol via ferry. This gives us 5 days (3 whole days) sa Panglao.

Day 1 - island hopping balicasag and virgin island
Day 2 - tarsier and choc hills half day, and intro Dive half day
Day 3??? Ano puede gawin?

Day 4 4pm flight namin Cebu. Enough time ba if we leave Panglao resort at 10am?

We are not coming from Manila. Galing Kami abroad and tagbilaran doesn't have international flights. From Cebu, walang flight to Tagbilaran, if ever meron, it is a connecting flight pa via Manila.

Kaya now I'm having second thoughts. But I really want to stay din sa South Palms. We only have 5 days, parang ang hectic ngayon to combine both Cebu and Bohol tours. I'm torn to choose one. Hayz, miss ko talaga beaches ng Pinas!!!

^Actually lalabas na pareho lang ang travel time nyo if you opt to stay in Cebu for their beaches since you'll be traveling from 2 hours north or south to get to the nice ones. While travel time from Cebu airport to the pier is from 30-45 minutes (depends on the traffic) then another 1H45M for the ferry to Bohol.

If you want to relax lang, yup just opt for one place either stay in Cebu or go to Bohol. Either way you'll still get to enjoy the beach.

^ been egging to go to Bohol talaga. So Bohol/Panglao it is!   next time, will do the Dumaguete leg (with Oslob and Siquijor). The problem kasi with Cebu resorts, they're within city reach, so di sya talaga 'resort' na malapit sa nature, mga isda at corals. Yun kasi hanap namin.

Still doing my research though. It is the transfers from Cebu Mactan airport to Tagbilaran pier and from Cebu pier to Mactan airport that I'm really worried about.

1. I've read na minsan Supercat just arbitrarily cancels trips if may prob ang boat nila.
So how can we know if they would suddenly decide to cancel? Do we need roaming na phone to keep us up to date of the scheduled departure/arrival etc?

2. Baggage/s - what are the charges. Tried reading oceanjet - they only mentioned about carry on. How about check in?

3. Taxis from Mactan airport to cebu pier
Plan to take yellow taxis. But worried din ako coz there's 6-8 of us. Magkahiwalay kami 2 cabs. Are there vans? May Ma recommend kayo for pre arranged car rental for 1 trip lang (not whole day)?

4. Bohol to Cebu naman, pabalik -
Can we purchase ferry tickets in advance? Kasi I've read din stories where they reach the ticket counter early only to find out first 2 trips are full na.

5. Madali lang ba to take taxis again from Cebu ferry to Mactan airport? Or puede mag rent ulit ng van just for 1 trip to the airport?

1.) I prefer Oceanjet to Supercat because the former has more trip options unlike the latter (9 trips to 3). Oceanjet has a ticketing outlet (an accredited travel agent) right across the airport at the Waterfront Hotel. You can email or call the outlet and request to have your tickets ready for pick up upon your arrival in Cebu so you won't have to queue up at their ticket office at the pier. 

2.) Minimal fee for checked-in baggage, if I remember right parang Php50 lang yata for 20kgs. But the last time we took the ferry last January, we got business class tickets and we just brought our bags with us di na pina-check in sa amin.

3.) Cheaper to take two cabs which will cost you from Php200-250 per cab (just make sure you tell the driver the fare should be metered). A van transfer will set you back minimum of Php1000. You can tell the airport dispatcher to get you two cabs which they will anyway since your group won't fit in one cab.

4.) Yes, you can. Oceanjet has a libre balik promo you can avail. Or you can always buy your return tickets when you get to Bohol. No worries there are a lot of retail outlets there. Or you can always ask your concierge to secure tickets for you.

5.) There will be taxis waiting at the pier during ferry arrivals. But don't expect an orderly queue unlike at the airport. Wala din silang dispatcher so most of the taxi drivers mango-ngontrata yan.

Sana magcooperate ang provincial governments natin to make tourist destinations more Organised. Like Cebu as the hub, pero gawa sila direct transfers Cebu to Panglao or Cebu to dumaguete etc para di laging naghahanap ng directions ang mga bagong salta tulad namin.

This is so true, been doing some readings. The thing pa if I stay in Cebu city, halos Everyday 2-4 hours byahe Out of the city to get to the nice beaches and corals. Swerte ng mga tiga Cebu, they can just have the weekend, hop on a boat and have an instant getaway.

Parang uneasy lang kasi ako since we don't have an organizer/travel agency na magsasama samin throughout the journey. At napaka unpredictable pa ng flights (puede ma late), yung traffic sa Cebu city, yung boat na puede magcancel due to weather or technical issues. Daming factors need i-consider.

But sis, I will consider your suggestion if buying the boat ticket at the Mactan airport para relax lang kami pag travel to pier.

Pagdating ba sa pier, iisa lang ba ang area where to buy all the ferry tickets (oceanjet or supercat)? Or magkakayo pa sila, such that if I decide to take the other, would need to have a Long walk to get to the other booth?

^It's a bit of a walk from SP to the main road where you'll find a few small restaurants. Not much food options in the immediate area. If you want to go to Alona where you'll find a lot of cafes/restos you will have to rent a van for your group, it's about a 10-15 minute drive.

Re ticketing outlets in Cebu, Oceanjet has their own ticket office right outside pier 1 where you board the boat (a bit of a walk and if you buy tickets on the same day of departure you do run the risk of trips being full). Supercat's ticket outlet is at pier 4 (mas malayo) though you board their boat at pier 1.

In my opinion, the best option for you would buy tickets in advance since you mentioned you were arriving on a weekend plus you're in a big group. And if you really want your transfer hassle-free I guess you'll just have to get the services of a local travel agent who can arrange everything for you: meet you at the airport with your tickets, transfer to pier and vv.
