Just wondering, how safe is Bohol for Solo Female Travelers? Any sisses tried it na?

^It is safe. Of course having said that you don't take your guard down. As anywhere in the world naman you still have to take safety precautions.

@soulflygirl, I usually take Oceanjet kasi maraming trips so marami choices. But you can also check Weesam and 2Go.

Will be in Bohol this coming September with family pero 3D/2N lang.

Day 1: Will arrive in Tagbilaran at 9:45 AM.  Diretso City Tour c/o Kuya Tatsky then Check in at DBR2
Day 2: Island Hopping in the morning then check out in the afternoon and transfer to hotel in Tagbilaran because of the early flight next day.
Day 3: Will leave Tagbilaran at 7:55 AM

Question po, can you recommend a cheap hotel in Tagbilaran with elevator?  Sa Arabelle Suites kasi stairs lang daw.  Same as dun sa ibang medyo murang hotel like Marcelina, Vest Pension, etc.  My mom kasi is having a hard time sa akyat baba so we prefer yung may lift sana.

Mama Squeak, okay ba sa Metrocentre?  I think may elevator sya.  Pwede kaya sneak in dun?  Planning to get 2 Family Rooms good for 4 but we are 10 adults + 2 kids (4 years old).  Bale sneak in ko na lang sana yung 2 adults.  Ang mahal kasi ng extra pax e (675).

^you don't have to transfer to a hotel in Tagbilaran for an early flight. It will only take you roughly 35 minutes from DBR2 to the airport. Wala pang traffic early in the morning. You can even leave the resort at 5:45H or latest 6am (better yung 5:45H para relax lang at di kayo nagmamadali).

But if you still prefer to stay in Tagbilaran, there's a new hotel near ICM. It's the Kew Hotel. Google mo na lang sis.

@soulflygirl, I suggest to book pa rin in advance. Depende kasi sa preferred time, class of service and date baka punuan din. Plus kung on day of departure purchase sa Oceanjet mismo sa pier ticket office ka nila bibili. Open air yun and madalas mahaba pila. Haven't tried Weesam and 2Go on date of departure ticket purchase yet.

For advance purchase pwede sa SM Travelers Lounge ka bumili or any of the ferry ticket offices around Cebu. Pwede ka rin sa mga travel agencies meron lang Php20-50 service fee.

Staycation lang kami ni boyfie then foodtrip. Ang downside kasi na nababasa ko sa SP is food.

@mama squeak - Yes, I found Kew Hotel online kaso medyo pricey sya tapos puro for 2 pax lang ang room e we are 10 adults + 2 kids.  I will take your advise.  Mag stay na lang kami sa DBR2 until paguwi. Pag sa city kasi baka wala rin kami magawa masyado.  Thanks po!!! =)

^South Palms food are actually good. Daming choices sa breakfast buffet.

^Amorita is located at the left end of Alona Beach or Panglao's "little Boracay" so lakad ka lang ng konti, may mga restos na. South Palms naman is about 20 min ride away from Alona so you need to take their free shuttle or magttrike ka. If you dont like the food in South Palms, I think you can eat in BBC though Im not sure if they still accommodate non-guests. Nabasa ko lang dati na may gumawa nito. Rics is right, okay yung breakfast buffet nila. I love their fresh juices!:) But I find their ala carte menu a bit lacking lalo na if youll stay there for a long time. Its a bit pricey pero malaki naman servings. In our 5 day stay in South Palms, we only ate there during breakfasts(part of the package) then twice na lang for lunch/dinner. Mas sulit and mas varied kasi food choices in Alona. Nakakapagpaluto pa kami sa Alona. Dont get me wrong, I dont regret staying in South Palms. We were there for our mini honeymoon so we really loved the secludedness, service, and facilities of South Palms. Also, their shoreline is way nicer than Alona's.
