Maternity Benefits (SSS/Philhealth)

^^ sis Jeira Eve, I found out na pregnant ako just days after ng 1st working day ko sa current company ko,  I  took few days leave coz I'm not feeling well, buntis pala ako, 7 weeks na, worried din ako nun parang nahihiya sa office. Pagbalik ko Ninotify ko HR at Manager ko, medyo apologetic pa ako sa kanila  saying na honestly I'm not aware na buntis ako, hinde din naman kasi sila nagrequire ng med exam during pre employment. wala din naman ako maalala na nagtanong sila kung buntis ako  so wala naman sigurong false information on my part, Anyway,  I was ready na materminate but they accepted it well and explained to me na cover naman ako ng maternity benefits, since regular na ako by the time na manganganak na ako.

mga sis, based abroad po ako but will give birth in Pinas. the insurance of the company I am working overseas will cover a certain amount for giving birth. pero I also still kept my SSS and Philhealth; parehong bayad naman kahit nag overseas na ako. Can I still claim for both Philheath and SSS maternity benefits?

Ang sa insurance namin sa company, pwede na daw direct billing from the hospital to the insurance kahit sa Pinas ako manganganak kasi accredited naman daw yung hospital. So dko alam how I will claim for the Philhealth kasi nag backread ako, Philhealth di nagbibigay ng cash. Diretso sila deduct nalang sa hospital bill, tama po ba?

^sis yes direcho deduction yung philhealth as long as complete ang claim forms mo.

If let's say hindi complete ang claim form mo, may mga cases din na ikaw muna magbabayad ng buong hospital bill tapos irereimburse mo na lang sa philhealth. They will issue a check with the amount ng supposed deduction mo.

About sa SSS, i'm not sure pag OFW but the standard procedure is you submit a MAT 1 notification sa SSS, then after mo manganak submit your MAT2 notif kasama ng birth certificate ng baby (and other hospital documents pag CS). It takes mga 1 month for SSS to issue your check for your maternity benefit

Hi mga sis, gusto ko lang sanang magtanong kung anong pwede kong gawin sa sss ko kung ang nakalagay pa na status ko dun is wala pa akong baby di ko pa naupdate kasi, I'm pregnant now and my expected delivery date is on July na. Di pa ako nagpapasa ng MAT 1 ko. ilalagay ko parin bang 2nd pregnancy ko na kahit di pa updated ang status ko sa sss? thanks in advance sa mga sasagot.

^ sis may fill up ka din form sa sss then susubmit mo together sa copy ng birth cert.
i think same form lang when updating yung name/status to married,
I went to sss kasi to update my civil status and name, same form lang pinalagay as dependent na si hubby , preggy ako nun so sabi balik daw ako pagkapanganak para maadd ko din si baby as dependent

Good afternoon Mommies. This is my 2nd pregnancy pero sa tagal na nung una e hindi ko na maalala ang process sa hospital after delivery.

I  am currently employed so na submit ko yung SSS Maternity Notification Form sa HR.

Ii just want to know kung anong papers (SSS and Philhealth) and need ko I prepare and bring with me sa hospital?

Para ma request ko na sa HR namin in case may kailangan akong kunin sa kanila.

For SSS benefit:
MAT1 notification with received stamp
Baby's birth certificate
Certificate of non-advancement from employer (if applicable)
Other documents for CS delivery (OB history)

Hindi na kasi ako nakakapaghulog sa Philhealth simula nung nag-freelance ako 3 years ago. Iniisip kong ipa-deactivate na sya at mag beneficiary na lang ako sa Philhealth ni hubby. If ganito ang case, makakapag file pa ba ako for maternity benefits o dapat may sarili akong Philhealth? TIA sisses!

So long as married kayo ng hubby mo, pwede ka nya i-declare na dependent. I-update nya lang records nya sa Philhealth.

With SSS computation naman, here's what I got from their website:

Exclude the semester of contingency (delivery or miscarriage).
    A semester refers to two consecutive quarters ending in the quarter of sickness.
    A quarter refers to three consecutive months ending March, June, September or December.
Count 12 months backwards starting from the month immediately before the semester of contingency.
Identify the six highest monthly salary credits within the 12-month period.
Monthly salary credit salary credit means the compensation base for contributions and benefits related to the total earnings for the month. (The maximum covered earnings or compensation is P16,000 effective January 1, 2014). Please refer to the table below.

If employed ba mga sis, at what month hinihingi sa HR yung mga needed docs? Pag 8 months ba pwede na? Saka how long before edd mag file ng maternity leave? Thank you ng marami.
