Sissies, help naman. Can you recommend a Makeup artist na based sa Tagaytay para walang OOT? I need one for my ento sana. Budget ko 1k/head. Traditional makeup. TIA!

I see. Our wedding is in the Church but beach reception.

My skin is very clear (thank you SK-II) so I don't think I will need layers and layers of make up to hide blemishes.

Concerns ko lang talaga is:
1. Longevity - Make up does not normally stay on my face especially lipstick.
2. How it looks on video.

I think for my trial, I will ask her to do airbrush. If I don't like it, I will change na lang to traditional. I will do test shots na lang with an SLR and flash to see kung maganda.

Hi sis, i can attest to longevity of airbrush. And looks better in video, because it's super natural, almost next to your skin. I airbrush myself whenever I travel (mainly because of pictures  ) so I won't have the need for touch ups.

Hi sis LilaFowler, mas maganda ang register ng Airbrush MU sa HD videos. Very suitable nga if you have a clear skin kasi it will turn out, napakaflawless na sa video. Actually at first gusto ko din Traditional MU na lang since I have a clear skin din. But during the bridal fair, they suggested na airbrush pa rin and viola, ang ganda nga ng result!

You better try it nga during your look test para makita mo din ☺️

hello future brides! I also got soleil as my makeup artist and I'm very satisfied with her work. she's very professional and very punctual. yun nga lang mabilis talaga Magtaas ng rates. Check her fb page for actual before and after. you can also check the works of Jaja Durano mas affordable and OK din.

Almost same rates na rin si soleil and Jaja. I booked Jaja and my prenup went well naman. The OOT fee was quite expensive lang. Laguna rin kasi yung location namin. But worth it. 😊

Hi sis. You can check make up by Charm Suerte. Fb name is Man Chala. 😊 She's my friend. I think same peg sila ni Soleil but affordable. She's actually good. Depende lang din kasi siguro sa peg na gusto mo. Sa akin kasi mas bagay yung fresh looking lang that's why I booked Jaja Durano.

Booked Realm Hair & Make-Up last July 31 at a bridal fair 'cause they seem to have the most affordable rate at the time.

Nag-trial make-up ako. Traditional lang, and thought it was really really nice.

Ms. Ange, the one who did my make-up was very to easy to talk to.

Will share my review later on pag tapos na wedding, but if you ladies have reviews about Realm, hoping you could share para mas panatag kami sa pagbook sa kanila Hehe

Hi Girls.. need advice please. need pa ba ng retouch if airbrush naman yung make up ko for wedding? For some HMUA kasi may bayad yung retouch, naisip ko baka di naman need na ng retouch. TIA.

Normally kasi after ng ceremony may picture taking pa ang couple outside the church and maybe garden area ng hotel nyo. Baka magsweat ka na kasi nun so retouch is para lang to make sure na picture perfect ka pa din. And hindi ba pag magssecond look normally kasama na retouch?

Sis, I'm not sure about Kai_21's concern, pero ang sakin kasi, having in mind na airbrush na make up mo which is intended to withstand sweat and tears, ang sabi pa ng iba 12 hrs intact pa din, so I'm still contemplating kung kailangan pa ba ng retouch and yes as part of the 2nd look, kung sakali lang naman na magdecide ako na wala nakong 2nd look.

Some of the brides, opted to keep their hair up, and sila na nag retouch ng lips nila.

Somewhat related - is anyone planning to get eyelash extensions for their wedding?

I know most HMUA will include false eyelashes pero di kasi ako confident with them. I'm worried baka matanggal or uncomfortable.

I've used eyelash extensions before pero I've never had them done sa Philippines. Can someone recommend a good place to get then done? QC area if possible.

Hi there current and future Soleil Capulong brides!

I'm seeing na she's starting to become super in demand na kaya I just wanna share my experience with her so that those who want to book her in the future can make a sound decision.

I've been a fan of her work since I chanced upon her portfolio on Facebook.  Her before and after pics are very impressive so I didn't think twice about booking her. In fact, I was the one who encouraged her to set up a youtube channel and do makeup tutorials to promote her business.  I also had my trial makeup done with her last month for our engagement shoot so I've tried and tested her work.

With regard to Soleil as a professional and as a supplier, I give her 5/5 stars.  Very prompt.  She texted me that she was already in the area an hour before our appointment and told me to take my time and she will be up in our room to do my makeup as soon as I'm ready.  She's very responsive and easy to talk to. She came armed with her complete set of equipment, tools and high-end makeup.  This is what I particularly liked about her.  She uses brands I've trusted for years and she doesn't scrimp.  She's also a perfectionist so she will really take her time until she's accomplished the look she has envisioned for you.

Now this is where my problem begins.  She's a bold visionary when it comes to make-up and she will carry out what SHE thinks looks good on you.  I initially thought that this was what I wanted, but when I saw my makeup for the first time, I did not look like myself at all.  I was almost recognizable.    It was as if she airbrushed my face off  and treated it like her blank canvass, instead of enhancing my features and working with my flaws.

I felt bad and it really showed in our photos, and it was too late for me to ask for a redo because our photo team was already waiting for us in the lobby.  This was not Soleil's fault at all.  I should've been more vocal about my disappointment but I didn't have the heart to tell her since she was too excited about "look" she gave me.  With only a month to go until the the wedding, I scrambled to find a replacement right away.

Thankfully, Gery Peñaso was still available and I didn't waste any time booking him.  This time around, I promised myself to say something immediately when I'm not comfortable  with anything the HMUA is doing.

I just wanted to give this honest review to help anyone who is on the fence about booking her.  Make sure to do a trial session first and see if you really like her style.  What you see in her before and after pictures may look impressive (that's what made me decide to book her), but I'm coming from the school of thought that a good makeup artist should make you feel like you're the best version of yourself. Wag na kasi ipilit ang Kylie Jenner look.

When I was still on the lookout for HMUA, I considered those who are really good and talented. But what made me book my HMUA is that, she really accentuates my best features. Although I know some would want to majorly transform. Pero ako, ayoko naman na ako mismo di ko na marecognize yung hitsura ko. hehe
