^sis nica re:induction, usually nirerecommend siya if you're fullterm na at 40w tapos di ka pa nag active labor. 40-41 kasi at risk na for meconium aspiration.

^sis simang, watch your diet sis, ayaw natin na macrosomia si baby due to insulin and may risk for hypoglycemia after birth. ano'ng plan sayo sis? nsd pa din?

Mas ok ba sis kung wait ko yung apr17 na due ko based sa current OB? Sure kasi tlg ko sa apr10 based from LMP kasi nagpaalaga ko sa dting OB ko. Kaso nahihiya naman akong sabihin kay current OB kasi sabi nya Apr17 daw tlg due ko based from ultrasound ko ng 8th wk kaya yun daw susundin namin.

Jentotmd, NSD pa din so far. Gusto lang ni OB na normal birth weight sya kasi most daw ng nagiinsulin is nasa 5-6lbs lang ang baby. Okay lang sana saken yung ganun para madaling ilabas. Lol. So far sa biophysical score namin normal naman ang amniotic fluid ko and baby is 5 days ahead in terms of weight. So pagdating namin ng 36 weeks weekly ang monitoring ko ng weight ni baby + amniotic fluid. Prone din kasi bumaba ang amniotic index pag may GDM.

Cess Sarah, i was on diet din pero di nacontrol ang sugar ko. High risk kasi talaga ko for gdm eh medyo inexpect ko na yun. Haha. Since i'm on insulin now and possible na prone na ko sa hypoglycemia, nirefer na din ako sa nutritionist so give me a diet that will balance out yung sobrang pagbaba ng sugar ko because of insulin. Nakakalito lang kasi sabi ni endo, less carbs. Sabi ni OB, kain pa din daw ako ng carbs. Hahaha. Actually wala namang pinagbawal saken na food except yung matatamis talaga (soda, chocolates, etc). I can basically eat anything, controlled lan ang portions.

Mga sis, naguluhan ako...bakit ako hindi pinagtest ng OB ko kung meron Gestational Diabetes? Pag ba nakita na negative sa sugar yung urinalysis ok na yun? Naka-2 urinalysis na kasi ako at negative naman pareho for sugar although meron ako UTI.

Nung weekend nagpa 3D ultrasound ako. Naguluhan na naman ako...yung sa ob ko sa ultrasound nya ang duedate ko is June 6, pero dun sa 3D with fetal biometry (done by another ob kasi walang 3D yung ob ko), duedate ko naman is May 30. Hindi ko na tuloy alam kung alin ang susundin ko.

At eto pa major concern ko. My God!!! OB asked me to prepare 45,000 pesos para sa isang injection right after I give birth kasi ang blood type ko is B-. Take note, isang injection lang pero worth 45K! Kaloka! Accdg to my research, pag RH negative ang blood type ng mother, may chance na sa next pregnancy makadevelop ng antibody na pwedeng ireject yung baby so it can be a cause for miscarriage.

^sis simang, tricky talaga pag manage ng GDM. i have delivered babies na macrosomia before. NSD naman talaga kaya. main concern namin sa babies ng dm mothers is yung hypoglycemia post birth. kasi pagcut ng cord, the effect of insulin remains pero walang regulation kasi disconnected na sa mother. most naman GDM kapag controlled ok naman si baby

^Sis bk, may mga OBs talaga na hindi nag require ng OGTT. I dunno why, pero may mga pregnant dito na nagsabi that they weren't required.

Regarding ultrasound, at the end of the day ang pag measure kay baby is depende pa rin sa Sonologist. Meron ako US na napakalaki ni baby like upper percentile, malapit na nga lumagpas. Then after 3 weeks, another US, na mid percentile na si baby. Pati pag measure nila ng cervical length super laki din ng difference.

Kaya now meron na ko preferred Sonologist. Siya yung request ko lagi in MMC.

@jentotomd- well kung based dun sa ultrasound ng OB ko I'm 31 wks na. Pero kung yung ultrasound ng OB na nagcondunt ng 3D with fetal biometry, I'm 32 wks. Hindi ko alam kung alin ang susundin ko sa kanila

^sis di ako OB. nakikita lang namin sa general practice sa government.minsan tumitingin din kami ng OB.

^sis nika I would stick with my OB's recommendation kung ako nasa place mo.

^sis bk how about LMP? mas accurate and dating sa menses kesa ultrasound. kapag irregular menses, usual na sinusunod earliest ultrasound, first trimester ultrasound. yung aging ng OB kapag late ultrasound na like sa case mo is 1-2weeks plus or minus talaga.

I have some discoloration in my body. I have a really dark linea nigra, even my belly button is dark. I also have patches around my breasts.

Just today I noticed that I have a line of discoloration at the back of my thighs (both) down to my legs. Parang it's a shade or two shades darker than my skin. Any of you who have this? Ang weird! I hope this goes away after giving birth.

whooping cough = pertussis vaccine.kasama siya sa DPT.given at 6-10-14 weeks ni baby.meron ka na nito nung baby ka if fully immunised ka.

Thanks @jentotmd! Kaso im not sure kung meron nako nito nung baby pako. anyway yung OB ko kc di naniniwala sa vaccine during pregnancy. Pero its up to me daw. Kaya naghahanap ako ng pedia na pwede magshot sakin ng whooping cough vaccine. So yung DPT pwede kaya yun sakin? I have a grade schooler kc and alam nyo naman na iba ibang germs/virus ekek ang naiiuwe ng grade school sa bahay. Para may protection si baby paglabas.

I'm employed but I haven't submitted MAT-1 yet. Pwede na magsubmit sis noh? Meron don sa form na 'i am expecting to give birth on ___'.  Anong date yung nilagay mo sis? Due date based on LMP ba? Yung sakin kasi July 20 pa, pero  sabi ni Ob ko mga 3rd week / 4th week ng June, pwede na ko manganak. Di na ako aabot ng July 20. 1st time ko sorry. Yung last time ko nagfill up kasi nito eh yung namiscarry ako. nagsubmit ako nung pagkagaling ko na sa hospital.

Hi Sis! Dahil OC ako, 10 weeks pa lang ata si baby e nagsubmit na ako ng Mat-1 haha! Due date na lumabas sa unang ultrasound ko ang ginamit ni OB ko, yun din ang nilagay ko sa Mat-1. Depende sa company mo pero in my case, yun ang ginawang basis ng pag-release ng SSS benefit (cash advance ko). Ni-release sa akin 1 month before ng due date ko :-)

Hi Sis! OB ko sa St Luke's ang nag-administer sa akin ng vaccine. DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough) yung vaccine na binigay nya sa akin :-)

Hi mga sis! Nagcheckuo kami kanina and im 35 weeks na. Nag IE si OB and sabi nya malambot na ang cervix ko at nakapa na rin nya ang ulo. Last US namen nakita nya na matured na daw ang placenta ko. Pwede na daw ako manganak next week! Parang ang aga ata ano? EDD ko pa is May 6. Although sabi naman nila nagiiba ang due date lalo na at 1st baby.

im experiencing back pain from my right buttocks to my right leg..

has anybody experienced this? im just trying to manage the pain and not think about it.. but its really painful.. nakakaiyak minsan..

Ako sis ganyan, both buttocks masakit as in everyday pero not naman whole day pain. And masakit na rin yung mga joint ko esp sa bandang singit. pero konting kembot na lang matatapos na rin kaya tiis tiis lang. Last test ko is urine, negative naman sa glucose kaya siguro di nako pina test for GDM.

Problem ko din dati ang back pain. I got myself a full body pillow. If bibili kayo nito, get the firm one for back support. It did helped with the pain. My other problem is i'm so sleep deprived. Tapos hyper sensitive ng skin ko. Lagi akong nagrereact sa mga harsh stuff. Pati dishwashing liquid nagrarashes ako. (Pwedeng palusot para di magwash ng dishes hehe) and i get rashes everywhere. So annoying. Yung extreme fatigue and shortness of breath, given na yun since usual complaint yun ng mga preggers. Sa Friday ang next check up ko. I will ask rin about the whooping cough vaccine. Your husbands need to get this too.

And btw, i did some impractical splurging today hahaha! Got myself another baby bag (just because, nagandahan lang ako). I'm so excited to pack na my things eh 30weeks pa lang ako tom! Atat!
