Sa Marco Polo nadidiliman ako, nagtry na ako dun, kahit na yung isang buong side ng room ko eh glass window (not ceiling to floor length, overlooking eastwood and ortigas), parang di pa rin makapasok masiyado ang light. I'm not sure if it's just my room.

Manila brides might want to consider penthouse suites at Citygarden manila. Maluwag and nasa dulo ang room na prep area ng bride. Kaya kahit magpatumbling tumbling lahat ng ento sa living area, makakapagphotoshoot si bride sa bedroom and balcony. At pwede magpasok kahit gano karaming food.

 Hi sis Blueberry14! if you like manila hotel for ypur preps, better get their prestige card, i think its 9k for the membership, included na 1 room accomodation with free upgrade pa ata to suite. then madami pa kasamang freebies

i booked luxent hotel for my preps, tapos na wedding ko! tip lang sa mga luxent ang preps dito, mag pa request ng trolley ng much early, ang tagal ng trolley dumating dito, na delay yung check out namin because of this. beside that everything is perfect naman

^hi, sis! SMA Weddings. My friend said the head coord already warned them ahead of the hotel policy kaya she advised on having the suppliers have meal allowances na lang.  kaso kami ang matitigas ang ulo that time, we thought kaya namin ipuslit ang food for all of us na mga abay kasi one of us claimed na she did it before. ending, we should have listened na lang pala and did not bother calling for food delivery. the family was able to eat naman kaya lang yung quantity lang for them ang inallow. buti na lang we were right on time sa sched kaya we brought our food na lang (nahold talaga karamihan sa baba) and ate them before kami bumaba ng mga sasakyan namin when we got to the church.

Had my preps in Shangrila Fort. They are really strict with food. Unlike in other hotels where you can sneak in the food (usually in a locked suitcase, or big box wrapped as a gift) you can't do this in Shang Fort because they have x-ray machines at each entrance, and large security dogs that sniff out all suitcases.

Thankfully they were lenient with me as they were newly opened and were extending all possible courtesies then. I signed a waiver to bring in 27 pacakged meals. However on the day itself the manager came up to tell us this isn't allowed but he will let it go for us. You are allowed to bring outside food but only in small quantities, good for the checked in occupants only.

Honestly I understand naman why. The manager requested that we had to call housekeping as soon as are all done eating because they wanted to pickup the empty food containers ASAP since if it is left in the room it will really stink up the suite or cause possible food stains if it drops on the carpet or chairs. This is really the reason why 5 star hotels are SUPER STRICT about bringing in food. It is really a housekeeping nightmare for them.

^same with Manila Hotel, they have xray machines din kaya hindi talaga umubra yung plan namin. one thing I learned dito, makinig na lang sa advise ng coordinator especially if they had preps there several times na. may nagmarunong pa kasi sa amin sabi kaya daw hay nako kaya big factor for me to look for a hotel na lenient sa outside food. i don't want my suppliers and entourage getting hungry sa preps.

Sis is it only just me that booking a preps hotel is so much headache and very expensive!
Youd take the following comsiderations:

-very good location/ good for photo ops (so dapat 4-5*!)
-min 2 night stay
- at least get a suite to fit in the fam members, hmua, p/v etc etc
- minimum 2 roooms (1 suite for bride, de luxe for groom)
- sneak in foods for the preps meals

On top of that, a decent hotel costs 7-8k/night plus taxes x 2 nights
While a suite room costs so much more!

Were computing about spending 50k minimum for preps hotel Alone.
Is this super worth it?

Im thinking get an airbnb mansion house kung meron man.

Hi sis summer_princess I understand where you're coming from! Grabe ang mahal ng hotel Tapos ang hassle pa sa food huhuhu. Try to ask din baka yung company kung san ka work ay may corporate discount kasi ang laki din ng mababawas

^ Thanks for the input febbie07. We're really thinking of giving them meal allowances na lang since we don't want to take the risk of spending on crew meals then hindi din nila makain ng maayos because of the restrictions sa hotel.

Hi mga sis, not sure if this was already mentioned here, but hotel preps should really be booked early as well, if possible a year before the big day. I learned it the hard way,  initially I asked the price of Edsa Shang suite a year before but didn't book it right away. And now I'm regretting because I wasn't able to lock in the price while it was still cheap. Even if I'm still 6 months away till the big day it increased already to almost 5k in price.  That's not cheap when you're planning to get more suites.

Also, you don't need to pay right away, I just provided my credit card to them and you're guaranteed reservation already. You'll only be charged on the day itself and you could cancel a day before. If only I knew this a year ago, I could have availed the cheaper rates.

Well, not really sure if all hotels are like them. But Edsa Shang rates depend on occupancy of the hotel, so if your wedding date is within peak season, expect that rates are higher.

^Super agree with you sis!! =) =) Although I booked my hotel only 2-3 months before the wedding, but I had several free cancellation- online bookings for several hotels. Hahha I had safety bookings in nearly all the makati hotels =)

That's a good idea sis Chili1113! Book as many as you like if you're not decided yet, anyways, it's free cancellation. In that way, you already locked in the price and you just have to decide later on which one to choose

This is soooo true! magpa reserve lang kau sa hotels na gusto niyo mga 2 to 3 hotels. then free cancelation naman basta 1 month before the date or something like that
