Hi, mga sis. New thread na tayo

I would like to ask for your reviews for hotels near San Agustin Church or Intramuros area. Basically, I would like to know lang if they're strict sa outside food and if they charge addtl fee for wedding preps.

Manila Hotel
Diamond Hotel
Sofitel

According to my coordinator medyo strict si Diamond, they won't charge you pero parang hinaharang ata..
Girls question, how soon do you need to book the prep rooms? My wedding is in January.

^Hi sis meixin! As soon as possible sis. Our wedding is on January next year also. Nag-ocular kami last month just to check out yung target hotel namin. To our surprise, may iilan nang naka-book sa hotel na yun for our date. Pero hindi pa naman fullybooked. Since decided naman na kami na yun na talaga yung hotel namin, pina-reserve na agad namin yung nagustuhan naming rooms. Sabi din ng mga staff dun, January is peak season kaya mas okay kung mas maaga magpa-reserve.

Oh.. ok... So I guess next project na namin yan ngayon hehe kala ko pa naman mahuli na yan kasi matagal pa. Iniisip ko mga 6 mos before tsaka ko lang kelangan magreserve, mali pala.. I wonder if I reserve a room with the hotel, would I have to pay na din kaya agad?

That depends pa rin naman sis sa demand ng preferred hotel mo. Some of our sisses here hindi naman agad agad nagpa-book.
Normally, hotels require 50% downpayment to reserve the room.

Girls, how much ba ang budget for the hotels specifically diamond hotel? Manila hotel? And sofitel? Do you have their 2016 rates? For wedding prep lang naman. Thank you so much.

Based sa inquiry ko before, sofitel suite is around 19k per night inclusive of breakfast. Then they have additional 15k for pictorial fee. Diamond hotel executive suite is around 15k++ also with breakfast. They don't charge extra for pictorial.

Anyone may rates ng Oakwood? December 2017 pa yung wedding namin, tingin niyo kailan ako dapat magpabook ng hotel? Sabi nila may membership sa Oakwood, mas makakamura ba kami pag inavail namin yung membership nila?

hi sis! same tayo ng church, san sebastian nakapag-inquire na ako sa sofitel, diamond and solaire

sofitel: suite is 16, 705/ night (net) plus 15k for pictorials outside the room

diamond: executive suite is 16k (net) inclusive of breakfast for 2 plus no additional fees for pictorials in the lobby, pool area
you can also use the other rooms for wedding preps, yun nga lang medyo maliit na sya-- they have 13k and 10k na rooms

solaire: 25, 376/ night (net) 

mag-check pa lang ako sa city of dreams. anyone here who knows their rates?

Sis stella021817 nagtanong ako sa shangrila eto price nila:

Garden wing premiere suite (69 square meter) is at 14,738 net
Tower wing horizon executive room (63 square meter) is at 12,896 net
Tower wing deluxe suite (107 square meter) is at 79,833 net

Naloka ako sa almost 80k! Plus 30 square meter lang anlaki na ng dinagdag sa price. Pinagiisipan ko din kung eto ba kukuhanin ko, diko alam kasi kung maganda ba talaga sa loob nito or kung luma na, lagi ko kasi naririnig sa iba na bakit shang eh luma na siya. Any of you guys can confirm kung okay ba ang shang?

Also yung square meters kung sapat na ba yang laking 69 sqm?

^wow nakaka excite naman sis omg! Can't wait to see your suppliers! Sa tingin ko naman mas maganda ng maaga kesa sa isabay natin to sa huling mga preparation kasi for sure toxic na tayo by that time atleast nababawasan na, ako kasi iniisip ko ayoko ma ma stress a month before my wedding gusto chillax na ako hopefully kaya i'm preparing everything now..

@maedonnas: Thanks! When did you ask for these rates? Because I just got an email from them, and their rates are different for 2016...
Garden wing premiere suite (69 square meter) is at 19,651.20 net -- the quote I got is higher than yours
Tower wing deluxe suite (107 square meter) is at 63,866.40 net  --- the quote I got is lower than yours
There's even an EDSA suite that's 117K net lol

I wonder why the rates quoted are different! I've emailed them to ask for their Executive room rates. This is the room they include in their wedding packages, so I'm hoping it'll be big enough.. online it's about 8-9K.

Edsa shang rooms and interiors are not bad. My friend had her wedding (and preps) there. Makati hotels are nicer, of course. But I think this is the nicest for the Ortigas area..

sis stella021817 hala bat ganun di sila consistent. 2 days ago lang ako naginquire sakanila. Either the room/suite na available 2 days ago is different sa room/suite offered to you kahit same sila ng name na garden wing premiere suite, baka sa unit binabase, just a thought. Even so, sana pare pareha pa din.

Di ko kasi maocular kasi bride abroad ako. pero good to know sis na you consider edsa shang as the nicest in Ortigas Area.

@maedonnas: So weird. I checked their website, and the rates are different also! I emailed them to confirm and ask why they're different. I'll let you know when they reply.
There are other hotels like Discovery Suites, Marco Polo etc. Their suites/rooms are okay, but I think Edsa Shang has the nicest/grand 'common areas' to take photos, like the lobby, garden etc. I'll let you know if I find a different hotel, though
