hello mga sis,
Makikisali ako dito sa thread. ano ang mas magandang country for honeymoon? bali, indonesia or KL malaysia? december pa kami maghoneymoon after the wedding.

bali -kasi parang relax lang, pero i've read na hindi daw okay ang beaches nila? any inputs?
malaysia - may leggo land, and sight seeing na din. I've heard na mahal daw ang food.

Hi sis! Sa Bali wala ako macomment kasi hindi pa ako nakapunta. I've been to KL, maganda at hindi naman mahal food, parang Pilipinas lang naman price niya. Kung gusto mo magbeach, my Langkawi sa Malaysia, sikat siya dun pero I don't know kung kasing ganda siya ng Bora. Sa pix maganda though. Ang maganda lang sa KL eh pwede ka magLegoLand tapos diretso ka na ng hehe.. But insert ko lang na Malaysian chocalates are really delicious..hahaha

This year we decided to go to PH provinces we haven't been in yet. I'm most excited about Batanes I've heard so much about it from my friends saka perfect din daw for Honeymoon. Looking at the photos, grabe nakakadrool na!

based on experience Bali is the best among those mentioned. Hehe KL sightseeing is a bit limited. Even shopping is better in Manila hehe. Most of all Jakarta. Super mas maganda pa Makati and Fort than Jakarta. When you go to Bali skip Jakarta altogether.

Excited for our Honeymoon! We're going to HK and Macau for 5 days! It's our first time to travel out of the country na kaming dalawa lang. We've been to Singapore pero with family. Hihi!

Cathay Pacific is on sale this weekend, just booked our Amsterdam roundtrip flights for 900usd all-in Dami pang dates, we got our first-choice date. Officially on honeymoon mode from May 18-June 12!

Edit: salamat sis! napacheck ako Multi City 700+USD lang! buti di ko pa nabook yung sa Etihad!

Hello! Got back from our honeymoon two weeks ago. Still on a high!!
We eventually had to cut some places from the original itinerary since it was already a full 3 weeks. Greece and Spain will have to be part of our next trip instead.

Sharing our itinerary below. We took some out of town trips but maintained home base in the major cities which have easy access to trains to other cities/countries. That's why there are repeats. Daytrip lang yung nasa gitna. Spent average 3 days per city since i get bored with the same scenery pag matagal. We're a hopping couple

Amsterdam-Paris-Venice-Rome-Florence-Cinque Terre-Chianti-Florence-Lucerne-Engelberg-Lucerne-Strasbourg-Alsace-Strasbourg-Paris-Versailles-Paris-Amsterdam

Now we're planning a Part 2 for early next year (while we dont have kids!). Can't decide yet, but has anyone done any of these? Still thinking of how to expand the itinerary since we want it to be another 3-week trip whichever one we pick. Any inputs as to what else to add would be helpful!

1) Greece (Oia, Mykonos) and Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara). Will be skipping Athens as hubby didnt enjoy it last time
2) Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Granada, Segovia, Salamanca), Portugal (Lisbon) and Morocco (Marrakech and what else?)
3) Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg)
4) South Africa (Johannesburg and not sure what else)

And what would be good timing? I hate hot weather!

Greece and Turkey is such a classic combination.

I don't suggest you do just Spain and Portugal in one go heheh My last trip we spent 3 weeks doing just Spain and Portugal. It was a big group so it was fun and we hired a private bus. However, to be honest it really doesn't compare to central and eastern Europe! Kinda got bored after a while hehe and we all said we don't want to go back to Spain for a while. Shopping is good though. It would be best to combine Spain with another central or eastern destination.

OK din central Europe-- Germany -Bavarian Region, Austria- Salzburg and Vienna, Prague, Krakow, Budapest-- all much more interesting to me than our last Spain adventure hehe where we only really liked Granada and Seville.

^Hi Chili1113! Thanks for telling me about your Spain-Portugal trip. I really don't know what to expect as my hubby has only been to Barcelona. He's the one suggesting the Spain-Portugal-Morocco option, but i am concerned about getting bored in just 3 countries for 3 weeks! Plus it seems hot in Morocco (which i hate haha). I'm sure shopping is great, but i want a good sightseeing itinerary as well. Coming from our central Europe trip i am still a bit bored with seeing grand European architecture though (it all starts to look the same to me!), so we kind of want to see more nature this time around. That's why i'm still contemplating on South Africa, even though i know nothing about it yet. Oh and i forgot to add maybe a South America or New Zealand option!

Based on what you said, we're now checking out combining the Greece + Turkey route with Spain + Portugal + Morocco. It'd be more interesting to have a diverse set of places to visit in one trip.

I'm trying to avoid doing Eastern Europe for this next one because my hubby's already done one covering Germany, Czech, Austria, Hungary, etc just a few years back. I am quite intrigued though as to why Romania is on so many people's bucket lists. Hehe

Sis, if you have at least extra two days I super recommend you include Cappadocia. It's only 4-hr bus travel from Ankara (not much to see here, just govt offices). Cappadocia is so unique and enchanting plus its history is so moving (early Christians). To complete the experience, try hot air ballooning, I'm sure it will be one of the highlights of your trip! Enjoy!

^Oh my how could i have missed that.. yes my hubby and i have talked about Cappadocia and Pamukkale as well for Turkey! Wont miss that! I forgot to list it down. Thanks for the reminder! 2 days for Cappadocia? What is there to do there apart from the hot air balloons?

^Noted! By the way one more idea, Arctic Circle! Norway, Sweden and Finland, then stay in those glass igloos in Finland hehe now lang namin naisip. We might combine either this or the Spain-Portugal-Morocco route with Turkey-Cyprus- Greece para sulit!
