Just started working at Upwork last week. Luckily, got hired 3 times already. I believe it's all in the Cover Letter. We always have to make it catchy para makuha attention ng client. Sa 3 clients na nag hire sakin, 2 liners lang cover letter ko. 😊

Ang hirap makakuha ng client, mas prefer ata nila may experience. Lagi decline proposal ko. Nawawalan na ko ng hope.

Actually sakin, may nag invite mag apply daw ako sa job post nya. Yun na nga nag apply ako, then nag send na agad sya ng contract and kinonfirmed ko. Tapos saka nya ko ininterview, then last na sabi nya sakin, give him couple days and we will start na daw. Susme more than 1 month na di na sya nagparamdam. Kahit nag follow up ako wala deadma na sya. Paasa sya! Haha. Akala ko yun na eh.

I just got done sa pag register and now I'm stuck sa pagpili ng parang specialization or something. hindi ko alam san ko i-classify sarili ko hahaha

I've been freelancing via Odesk (now Upwork) since 2010. I noticed mas mahirap maka-score ng jobs mula ng naging Upwork na. Out of 10 applications madalas wala akong nakukuha na client, even the invites are rare. I heard they made changes sa algorithm ek-ek kaya hindi lahat ng proposals nakikita ng clients, first 10 or 20 lang ata yung nakikita. Disappointing lang.

Earlier this year, super active kong mag apply & mag search ng jobs sa Upwork. And then same with the others, parang walang tumatanggap sa'kin. Meron once nagpa-trial sa'kin ng job (transcribe a conversation) pero wala na ding follow up. Nag download pa nga ako nung Upwork messenger app para maka-reply ako agad sa mga mag me-message, eh wala naman hehe!

Medyo discouraged na ako now pero I guess talagang patience is a virtue.

May sample ba kayo na cover letter na 2-liner/catchy? Medyo ang haba nung akin, so baka kaya ako dine-deadma hehe!

I started with ODesk in 2010. OK yung mga work na nakukuha ko kasi may Japanese language skill ako. So mga client ko, halos lahat ay Japanese-related jobs.
Gusto ko nga bumalik ulit. Papaupgrade ako ng internet. Sana mabilis na i-approve nitong Globe.

Ako sis minimention ko lang kung gaano katagal ko balak gawin ang project tapos sinasabi ko na hire me now so I can get it started na. Hehe. So far nagwowork sya sakin. I started June 2 and so far, hindi pa naman ako nababakante and may 1 repeat client na ako. Sana tuloy tuloy na.

Tumaas ba sweldo niyo?  kasi bumagsak yung piso of course tumaas palitan ng dollar.

Honestly umangat rin ang salary ko  kahit papaano because of the dollar increase not because of my boss. Nakatulong rin na naging 5% na lang ang deduction kada salary.
