Yes sis Simang! The accent, Pinoy na Pinoy, which is absolutely perfect kasi she's not trying hard pakinggan. Unlike some Pinoy celebs minsan na pag nag-Eenglish aba biglang nagkakaron ng accent. She really expresses herself well. Na-amaze ako how well she's able to answer even under time pressure. Oo kita mong kinakabahan, pero dahil siguro she's a really good communicator, nakakasagot pa din sya ng maganda.

I totally do not get this sharing the crown idea. It's not like dikit na dikit ang laban nung dalawa - judges unanimously voted for Pia. Soooobrang unfair na nung magshare pa sila sa crown at reign dahil lang sa pagkakamali ng isang tao. And it's not like it was the decision itself na mali ha, just the announcement. May nabalitaan kasi ako dati sa isang pageant, computations yung nagkamali, but in this case no, talagang si Pia ang panalo kahit pano mo bali-baliktarin.

^exactly sis. The judges' verdict were unanimously for Pia. Mahiya naman sana siya at respetuhin ang desisyon ng mga judges. Oo napahiya siya pero sana man lang she was gracious enough to accept the fact that she's not the winner. She could have handled the situation differently.. with how she's acting right now she's putting herself in a worse situation even more, shows us how unworthy she is of the crown.

Siempre that comment from the former owner of Miss U favor kay Miss Colombia. But of course I find Pia's answer as realistic, kahit na siya ang malagay sa situation ni Miss Colombia I am sure totoo pa rin ang sagot niya at siya mismo hindi pa rin papayag ng Sharing of Crown. Next time gawin nilang Misses Universe kung may sharing rin lang.

Absurd nga yung idea. Ang nakakaloka, may ilang tao na nagcocomment (bilang na bilang naman) na ang selfish daw ni Pia, and parang she's so self-centered daw for not wanting to share the crown. Kakalurkey. Sya pa selfish at self-centered talaga ha. 

Obviously, this Miss Colombia is so in this for the publicity. She keeps on making noise para mapansin.

I agree with Pia that it's hard for two girls to share a crown. Hindi ba iniisip ni Miss Colombia that being Miss Universe is a big responsibility? I feel like Adriana only wants to be Miss Universe just for the title. I believe that she will not be a good role model and a good spokesperson because parang may attitude si ateng. We need someone like Pia who's genuine and confidently beautiful with a heart. We don't need a latina without a substance and who's self-centered.

Naka 9 interviews pala si Pia yesterday on her first official working day as Miss Universe. Grabe she was very candid, eloquent, gracious, relatable and charming on her interviews. Di ko napanuod lahat eh pero napahanga niya ako on the way she handled herself dun sa mga interviews na napanuod ko. Her delivery and accent was amazing!

Hanggang ngayon di pa rin ako maka move on sa overwhelming feeling ng pagkapanalo ni Pia. I really think na she really deserves to win, unlike sa mga previous na mga nilaban natin (sorry hehe) kasi talagang ibang level na sya sumagot, and yung mga sagot nya, hindi lang pacute, hindi pabibo, napaka concise, simple but sweet ika nga, tagos na tagos. Ibang iba yung aura nya, sobrang determined and makikita mo talaga na napaka humble. Araw araw na lang ata ako naghahanap ng mga interview videos nya sa net kasi amazed na amazed ako on how she answers every single question. Parang kahit anong ibato mo sa kanya, titirisin nya lang hahaha

I cannot imagine too na Miss Colombia who is now doing her job as Miss Universe, baka puro arrogance lang maririnig natin. Tanggap ko pa si Miss USA eh! mas worth. I doubt it if she wants to do her responsibility and raise awareness. Hindi siya yung ganun eh! Korona at title lang ang hangad niya. Kaya yung sinasabi niya na anything happens for reason eh andyan na yung sagot niya. Pinangangaralan na siya that anything can happen saka siya naman mismo na ngayon nagpapahiya sa sarili niya hindi na si Steve Harvey.

Kung tutuusin nga nakakaawa rin si Pia nung mismong pageant mismong isa sa judges na nagsabi nun, kasi nung na announce siya as winner at nasa kanya na ang crown halos karamihan ng contestant nagpunta kay Miss Colombia. Parang lumalabas si Pia pa ang kontrabida.

Now seems that the Miss Universe organization should also inspire the contestant to become mature, how to become prim and proper with class, not just the beauty. Dapat nga yung ginawa ni Steve Harvey maging wake up call sa lahat yan lalo na sa beauty pageants.

Napaka simple lang ng situation. Parang lang siyang isang typo error na kinorrect lang. In reality dapat nga enough said na yun.

Kung Pia talaga nangyari yan we are sure she is strong enough to handle that situation yet yung issue tapos na agad. Media lang magpapalaki. Now naman nangyayari is ginagamit ng media ang issue na ito para kumita nang husto.

I used to feel bad for Miss Colombia. Pero kasi 2016 na. Tapos parang di nila ma gets that she was never Miss Universe.

Anyway, back to Pia, super like ko na siya. She's fierce. Tama yung sinabi ng isang sis natin, hindi siya pa-cute. Bibo siya. Matalino. Direct sumagot. And OMG andaldal, nakakatuwang panoorin. Cute niya din mag ramp, baklang bakla. Nakaka-proud talaga siya panoorin.

I could feel talaga na there is something wrong with Miss Colombia baka siya yung tipong fame W forever tapos may pinagyayabangan pa sa bansa nila. May image rin siya pinoprotektahan. Kaya ayan nung nagkamali feeling pahiyang pahiya at devastated kahit hindi naman dapat. Eh kung smart and matured enough lang siya to accept the situation I am sure mas marami pang humanga sa kanya ngayon.

I am happy for Pia na ang dami niyang schedule for the interviews sa different networks. Ang dami ko rin hahabulin. Sana makatiempo man lang ako ng live news sa cable. Hindi ko pa napapanood yung tinitirhan niya sa New York ngayon.

I think si Miss Colombia is milking this issue hanggang kaya niya. She's trying to stay relevant. Sabi nga ni PerezHilton, losing was the best thing that ever happened to her. Imagine if hindi nagkamali si Steve Harvey and si Pia inannounce, may makakaalala pa ba sa kanya?

Ang husay ni Pia sa interviews, she knows when dapat formal and intellectual - she knows when dapat casual and candid. Nakakaaliw. I also like that she's not pretending to be a pasosyal girl na wuhooo, Miss Universe na ko, angat ako sa inyo. Nope - she actually is very charming, na aliw na aliw sya sa mga bagong nakikita nya. Hindi sya nahihiyang maging 'touristy'. Sa page ng Miss U, nakakaaliw mabasa yung post ng mga foreigners (siempre pag Pinoy understood na. hehe) na talagang they follow Pia's posts and all. And they say na she really deserves it more than any of the candidates.

I simply cannot imagine how it would be like kung si Colombia nanalo. *I cringe* Baka puro "Me, me, me" yun. Saka tipong primadonna ang peg. Feeling ko din, prior to going to Las Vegas, sobrang naboost siguro confidence ni Colombia na she will win the crown (remember the Ines Ligoron post), na paniwalang-paniwala sya na walang tatalo sa kanya.

And then came Miss Philippines, this quiet, serious girl who mostly kept to herself and a small group, who came coronation night kept slaying and slaying every round - and super slayed the Q&A too! Ayun, bad trip si Ariadna.

Hello mga sisses, my first post after being inactive for such a long time

Can't help kasi, I'm super fan nadin [textspeak!] ng ating Miss Universe. She converted me from non-believer (as I didn't believed before she can win miss U when she was crowned in BB Pilipinas, I thought she's too Mestisa) but come preliminaries, whoa...the rest is history. Love you Pia.

I used to borrow Candy magazines from my friend, at isang cover ng Candy lang talaga tumatak sa akin. Yung cover ni Pia.

I don't know, sobrang naging interested lang talaga ako sa kanya at naaalala ko pa yung favorite doll niya.

For years, lagi ko naiisip kung ano na kaya nangyari sa buhay niya. Then nung na-announce yung winner ng Bb. Pilipinas, napa-google talaga ako kung siya ba talaga yung cover ng mag. ^_^

So, I've been like a fan of her for many years na. Hehe. I'm so happy she won. Sana maging Hollywood celeb siya.

Sa kin naman, more than being an actress or before sya maging Hollywood actress, my dream for her is to be able to do such an impressive job championing her causes as Miss Universe, na never syang makakalimutan because of the things she did. As is, she is already charming her way to people's hearts, it would be very lovely na makilala sya for her being fierce, for being smart, for being a woman of the people, for being the 'ideal' Miss Universe, yun bang new beginning talaga for the MUO, magiging relevant and worth watching sila ulit.
