^i am a 30 y.o. wife. Both my husband and I are working and are expecting our first child. never ko pang naisulat ang aking financial plans but hubby and I regularly talk about them. As of now, we have
1. Our own life insurance plans as retirement funds
2. Fully paid plan in St.Peter
3. Mutual fund investment through COL Fund Source for my baby's education fund
4. Health cards for both of us
5. A little savings
At mga challenges like debts
1. Car mortgage- 36 months pa! Bale 2018 pa matatapos. Kinuha ko yung car about a year bago kami ikasal.
2. About to sign a home loan contract for our new townhouse.
We will be using our savings for the equity and bank charges.
-in 2015, lahat ng bonus namin halos dito napunta sa pagsave for the equity of the house. Kahit mauubos savings namin for this, minabuti na namin agahan ang pag acquire ng sarili naming place.
3. Almost 5 months preggy here. Kaya siyempre challenge ang 2016 dahil maraming sabay sabay na parating na expenses.
Hubby and I always talk about our priorities and remind each other to stick to our goals. ang financial goals namin for 2016:
1. Be able to maximize our income especially bec we will be living on our own --
we will be "adopting" my mom who is still earning her own income. But she lives alone and malapit na rin maging senior citizen, so hubby and I decided to make her stay with us. I am an only child, kaya ako rin talaga ang dapat na mag alaga sa kanya later on.
She will be contributing to our monthly expenses. In fact, she volunteered to be in charge of the electricity and the landline/internet. Kami na sa food/market, groceries, water and cable (pinakamura lang na plan).
2. Practice minimalist living and minimize expenses in the meantime.
-wala pa kaming masyadong budget for new appliances kasi sabay sabay nga ang expenses. Fortunately, my mom will bring her own appliances para gamitin muna namin in the meantime. Wala munang interior design options.bare essentials muna until we have replenished our emergency fund. Siyempre si baby muna ang priority.
3. Be able to replenish about 1/3 of our emergency fund little by little. For 2016 ito. Plan namin by 2018, kasabay ng pagtapos ng car loan, ma build na rin namin ang aming 6 months emergency fund.
In 3 years, we will finish the car loan. This means we will have more money to save especially for the education of our future baby and for our retirement.
Medyo mahaba at di gaano malakihan mga goals ko for 2016. Pero starting pa lang naman kami bilang mag-asawa, challenging and exciting for us ang magstart na mag budget for our own household.. Bale next week pa lang kami maging 1 year na.
