^yes. no cost to invest and redeem. they have a minimum holding period though. 90 days ata. so if you redeem before the lapse of that period from the time you invested, may 1% early redemption fee lang.

so let's say you invested 5,000, yung buong 5,000 maibibili mo ng shares.
sis eto ba yung Easy Investment Plan nila?

How do you buy your mutual funds from the insurance companies nang hindi kayo kino convince ni agent na bumili ng VUL?

Naging mas gusto ko tuloy ang UITF sa banks over this, dahil di ako kinu question sa choice ko (and don't have to explain all over sa agent na hindi ko need ang panibagong VUL.)

Sis, you can invest in a mutual fund of an insurance company without having to get another VUL.  Perhaps, your agent does not have an MF license?kailangan mo kasi to in order to sell MF or kaya kinoconvince ka to get VUL kasi mas malaki kita nya sa if you get that. That?s why, you need to get a good and honest agent?one who is really after your welfare.  ;)

Hello mga Sis!

Question lang, what type of mutual fund investment ang swak dito?
- Long term investment with the purpose of withdrawing the interest/gains anually preferrably 5-10% of the principal amount.
I plan kasi na mag invest ng 6digits and then live off interest. Is it possible thru mutual fund? If so which one is the most applicable?

Hindi kasi sya parang time deposit na may principal and fixed interest rates. It doesn't work that way.

In mutual fund, you are buying shares. You earn when the net asset value per share goes up. This value changes everyday. It can go up or down depending on the market performance. Hindi sya based sa fixed interest rates. We measure the compounded annual growth rate instead. Hindi yun guaranteed amount and it changes from time to time.

It is still possible to generate withdrawals, siguro leave it for at least 5 years or more na tumutubo muna bago ka magstart magwithdraw.

May forms lang na need i-fill up, then submit with id and initial deposit. If you're really interested, I might help you if you're located within Metro Manila.

Hi mga sis, Tagal ko ng gusto mag invest sa MF but I don't know how. Hehe. Question, need ba na regular maghulog sa MF or let's say nag lagay ako ng 10k then kung kailan lang ako may extra dun ako maghuhulog? Plus, san po maganda mag invest ng UITF - BPI, BDO or Security Bank? Thanks in advance po sa mga sasagot. :)

Some people automate their mutual fund contributions pero ako, I do it manually.  Some months I put less, some months I put more.

^If you have a COLfinancial account, madami nang pagpipilian na mutual funds dun. Mas madali to invest and monitor. You can also buy many different mutual funds from different providers using one interface.

Ang 'best' mutual fund depends on your risk appetite. Meron kasing pure equities (high risk), balanced (equities + bonds so medium risk), and bonds (low-risk).

Ang difference between UITFs and mutual funds is that UITFs are offered by banks, while mutual funds are their own companies (e.g Sunlife, Philam). When you buy a UITF, you own "units" of the fund. When you buy a mutual fund, you own "shares" and technically become a "shareholder" of that mutual fund company.

Hope this helps! :)

Sissies I have question. Ano ba difference ng VUL and MF?

Ang VUL po is packaged Life Insurance Investments (equity, bonds, money market, etc). Ang MF naman is a pooled funds that are set up as a corporation and managed by a fund manager. Ang UITF naman is an investment that can be accessed by a bank po. Sinama ko narin ang UITFs for your info narin and you have options to diversify your portfolio.

Sis, VUL is basically MF + life insurance combined in one product. It's like a bundled product. Investors in MF earn through dividends and  capital gain. Pag may increase in the price of the bonds/stocks where the fund is invested, tumataas ang NAVPS, ganun din pag may dividends. It is recommended though that you invest for the long term so you can spread the risks and maximize returns.

Yes, Sis! Pati si PAMI and ATRAM may funds na din sila na ang initial deposit required is only Php 1,000. I hope it encourages more investors to start.  ;)
