Haha, thanks sis! What I love about it, is that my gown already have a short train. If the designer fails on the train, edi hindi ko susuotin. My gown can stand on its own naman. 

penguin07 - thanks sis. first time ko makakita ng ganto. Though medyo iba sya kasi naka overlap sa harap yung lace. As per my designer nasa gilid bewang ko lang daw talaga, wala sa harap. Ayun yung gusto kong mahanap sa net kaso wala. Pero sabi ng designer ok lang daw yun.

Hi fellow brides! I need your opinion.
I'm having a bit of a dilemma with my designer.

I already told her that I'd be getting her to make my gown pero for the longest time (4 weeks!?) she hasn't given me a sketch yet and I'm starting to have 2nd thoughts. I haven't given any down payment pa din naman.

Question: How do I break it to her na parang ayaw ko na get her? Ok lang ba to start scouting for other designers or rude ba? Huhu

My wedding is not until early next year pero I want to finish everything na kasi by next month.

Try mo muna mag follow up sa kanya. And then pwede naman scout ka na ng other designer pero give her a chance din muna so wag mo muna sabihin sa kanya na ayaw na. Pag wala pa din talaga tsaka ka na magdecide

Share ko lang mga sis, I met with Mak Tumang earlier today. My goodness, iba ang arrive niya sakin. So unprofessional.. Magaling siya magsketch pero two thumbs down siya sakin

His first question was " So paano na?" I answered "Huh? Anong paano na?" He said" paano na gagawin natin? Di ko kasi alam san tayo magsimula " Na- off ako sis kasi as a designer dapat alam mo anong una mong gagawin and lalo ako na- off kasi nung naguusap kami naka smirk siya. Like he's judging if kaya ko ba siya bayaran or what. It was an awkward moment for us. Tsaka may part pa na binara niya ako. I said kasi gusto ko ng madetailed and I also said ayoko ng ma-lace. He answered " teka, naguguluhan ako eh. Sabi mo detailed pero sabi mo ayaw mo ng ma-lace" E malay ko ba noh.. Siya ang designer so siya ang mas may alam dapat di ganon yung pagclarify niya if naconfuse siya sakin.

hi sis mloveg super feel kita kasi as first time for us yung preps mahirap talaga explain sakanila yung gusto natin. And cyempre nageexpect tayo from them na matulungan tayo na maachieve gusto natin since marami na sila experience and matagal na sila nakakapaghandle ng same situations sa mga clients nila. Dapat as supplier inaccomodate talaga tayo at nagbibigay sila ng mga opinion na alam na babagay sa atin para lalo tayo maconvince sa kanila na alam natin iintindihin tayo sa special day natin.
One of my dream supplier ko si Mak Tumang kasi nakita ko din mga gawa nya. I inquired to him once and message him through viber,many times seenzone and nung inulit ko ulit yung message nagsend siya ng parang copy paste message na for inquiries visit him sa shop nya with details ng starting nya sa gown. Pero malayo din shop nya for us kaya we let go of him nalang and opted for someone na mas deserve at alam namin aalagaan kami ng mabuti

Naturn off din ko sis sa nabasa ko kahit super ganda ng mga gawa nya. So sad

I did my first fitting with Jazel Sy. I should say from the time I had her signed to do my gown. Alaga na alaga na ako. I felt how she envision my dream dress na babagay with my body proportion. She loves her craft and apart from that very honest. Simple and straightforward. At first intimidating pero after I felt I trust her fully... Lining palang ng dress I felt the "this is it" factor. So far, two thumbs up siya and her staff!

^msdianne, Kelan ka nagdownpayment kay Jazel? Kasi 10 months to go pa naman ako before the wedding, sabi niya ideally 6-8 months daw bago magfirst fitting. Do you think I should settle the downpayment na as early as now? Or should I wait until sa timeline na binigay niya?

Hello! Bought my wedding gown sa Ivory and White. Wedding will be on August. Sabi nila darating daw yung gown end of May pa. Ok lang kaya yun? Kasi may mga changes pa akong ipapagawa dun sa gown. Natatakot lang ako baka kulang sa oras! Haha

^ sila din ba gagawa ng alterations? How major or minor ang alterations? If its just minor, I see no problem.

I will also be wearing a RTW gown, bought from David's bridal. I'll be coming home first week of May, wedding is in June 10.  Since Paolo Blanco will be making my mum's and my sister's gowns, I also asked if he could trim the hem (and maybe a nip and tuck on the bodice), plus make my veil and accessories as well. Sabi nya he can do it 1 week tops. So I'm giving him  2 weeks in my calendar.

Lalagyan ng belt, tatanggalin yung sleeveless na part para maging tube lang tapos lalagyan ng off shoulder. And if ever petticoat kung feeling ko kulang. Huhu sana nga kayanin nila. Nung January ko pa binili yun actually. Nung nakapili nga ako ng gown nun at nagbook, sabi sakin may darating pa daw ng March tapos kaya pa daw yun hanggang Aug. E yung January nga na binook ko, May pa pala ang dating, ano pa kaya yung March

Give it until 8 months pa then meet her for final design if magbago isip mo. 35%, 40% 35% payment scheme niya Sis you won't regret it. I find her intimidating at first pero she was just too nicely honest to tell me hindi bagay gown na gusto ko kasi I'm on a heavy side! Bahahahah but now, the way she incorporate my ideas and yung bagay sa body type ko. Oh my I was amazed!!! Got teary eyed ako lining palang ng dress kasi napapayat ako ng design niya!!

What struck me most is her passion sa craft niya, all the designer I've been, I find Jazel Sy affordable na yet reachable na pwede mo kausapin mabuti at alaga ka sobra.

^ nako same tayo medyo heavy side din ako. Actually, ganyan din yung feeling ko sa kanya sa first meeting pa lang. I kept telling h2b na si Jazel na nga ang gusto kong designer.  Also had that "this is it!" Feeling..hehe when is your wedding day ba?

September Dapat however I'm marrying a Filipino-Chinese so we'll follow Feng Shui date and ano sasabihin ng elders moved to July na ako before ghost month.

Tried Rosa Clara, Veluz etc pero sobrang namamahalan ako. When I went to Jazel. She offered me a good price tapos 2 looks pa. Go na ako! Hirap din ako magpapayat na Pero sis ma feel mo first fitting palang if you're heavy side like me how she'll transform your lining ng gown na feeling mo ang payat mo sa cut ng gown niya! Bahahaha.

@ncs - minsan kasi yung mga RTW gowns are outsourced. What they have on their shops are just for fitting purposes. So if you want to get a new stock, kukunin pa nila kung san sila kumukuha ng gown. Might have been better if they have informed you, or you could have asked prior to buying. Anyways, transport takes time. You could ask them na lang kung san ba nila gagawin. If kung local na ang alterations then it won't take that long a time. Just the normal time it would take other shops as well.
