at the end of the day naman sis it's not about what's new or uso..
ang importante you get to wear something that you're comfortable with and gustong-gusto mo talaga.
like ngayon, medyo marami ng inclined sa fit-and-flare pero syempre di naman lahat binabagayan ng cut na yun. there are some na mas gusto yung medyo ball gown/frou-frou kase it complements their body shape and for some, may help conceal bulges din.
basta sis kung ano'ng feel mo na bagay sa'yo at nagagandagan ka, go for it!
most of the time nasa nagdadala lang yan kase a big part of the "bridal glow" effect is her happiness and excitement on the day.

I posted on the other thread about my budget and looked for designers who could accommodate me. I contacted more than a dozen. For those who wonder what their rates are, here's what they gave me:

Rox - 30k
Haydee - 35k
April - 25k
Bridesdream - 20k
Emil - 30k
BKS - 60k

Still waiting on some more! I will update. Kinda leaning on April because she was nice to talk to and recommended the fabrics to use. She even detailed to me the differences of each fabric. I also like Rox because she made a really pretty gown similar to my peg. But her rate is only the starting price -- if I want quality fabrics, it might still go up.

^lyr3hs  if you can try different styles from RTW bridal shops that would be great. You can check which suits your body perfectly.

Sorry medyo off topic, anyone knows a good place to have the gown dry cleaned? Yung trustworthy and medyo mura haha. Somewhere in Quezon city area, like in trinoma or sm north? Thanks mga sis

sis tiffany24, i had my wedding gown cleaned sa wash n' wear at robinsons magnolia. i think i paid about 2k. maganda naman yung pagkakalinis nila kase since garden wedding kame and umulan on the day, may putik-putik sa may train ng gown ko tapos may nakadikit pang bubblegum.  (hanggang ngayon curious pa din ako kung sino sa guests ko ang di marunong mag-dispose ng gum! hahaha!)
when i got the gown back, wala ng bakas nung abuse na pinagdaanan nya.
alam ko may branch sila sa sm north.

Thanks sis f878. I had my rtw wedding gown altered kasi at alterations plus tapos 4K yung dry clean daw. Hindi ko alam kung standard rate ba yun pero malaki kasi yung skirt ng gown ko. I guess the price would vary depending sa kung gaano kahirap i wash? Pero thank you, I'll check it out. Sayang din ang 2K hehe

interesting thread about the frou frou style of wedding gowns. if you have an ideal wedding gown, try it on. if it suits you, go for it!

I actually like it when the silhouette of the gown I am wearing is not popular. I just like going against the trend. When i decided on mine, I had very specific no and  wanted an a line gown. But after trying on the more fitted ones, I got convinced to go for the fitted cut. The frou frou one looks best on me BUT it doesn't fit my personality so it really all depends. decide only AFTER you have tried a couple of gowns.

what i did, i searched for wedding gowns, and then yung style sa pangtaas and pangbaba galing sa ibat ibang design ng gown. then pinakita ko lang sa bestfriend ko para idrawing niya in one whole dress.
im petite and 5"3 lang, so ball gown yung baba na parang sa mga cartoon princesses, and then dinikitan ng red flowers all around it. while pang taas naman halter style na turtle neck and open back till hips.
got my materials in tanzania and then pinagawa ko na dito sa rwanda;) worth $800 dollars lang pagawa with the materials na:)

Patingin naman sis sensi haha Na imagine ko na yung cartoon princesses gown peg. Anyway, nice at affordable naman ang gastos for a custom made gown 

I agree sis papemelroti my gown is frou frou style. Gusto ko talaga yung maraming nagaganap sa skirt ko hehe and it's also the style that suits my frame kasi medyo chubby ako.. it didn't matter to me naman kung uso pa siya or hindi eh

oo sis explore ko yang frou frou option na yan sa first fitting ko this november. kung bagay sa peg kong neck line at sa top details, i'll go for it.

Just sharing, Alterations Plus did a very great job altering my gown from size 8 to size ** haha
hindi ko akalain they were able to adjust it without changing the zipper into a corset and very affordable pa yung rate nila. Kaso bawal na mag dagdag pa ng weight
