@pogi02 - that's  good then sis. You can just add a nice skirt of tulle or chiffon para sya maging gown. Then just keep it as it is. Kahit hindi na tanggalin. Basing on the picture you've sent, maganda ang lace ng gown, and maganda din yung dress. It maybe simple to some, but sabi nga, less is more. Good luck sis. And remember basta you're happy with it, you feel beautiful in it and you are comfortable in it. These are the most important factors in choosing a gown.   Happy preps

How did you show your designer the pegs you like? From your phone/tablet nalang or did you print it out pa?
Ideally, how many pegs to show? Coz I have no idea talaga what design I want.
What did you wear during the consultation? Something form fitting para makita nila yung shape mo & will know anong bagay?

sis corpse_bride, what i did was show roxy mga 4-5 pictures of gowns that i liked on my phone lang. though it would be better nga if you can print them out para mas malaki yung images and may maitatagong reference din yung designer mo for your gown. and i don't think there's a limit naman.

good idea din siguro to wear something that shows your features so your designer can determine your body type and make suggestions as to what silhouette complements yours. when i had my initial meetings with roxy lagi akong naka loose shirt and pants kaya nagulat tuloy sya nung first fitting kase may "curves" daw pala ko.

i did the same with sis f878:)i showed them all my wedding gown pegs (3-4 designs ata) and me print out din ako para mas malaki yung images. Re: outfit during the meeting, yup baka nga mas ok sis if body fitting sya para mas maassess kung anong body type ka para makita nila anong best cut for you:) Ako shirt and pants lang din suot ko during the initial meeting pero yung mga sumunod, dress na para mabilis hubarin at maisuot agad yung gown hehe.


ok din magtry ng mga RTW gowns if merong available sa shop nila para makita mo din agad agad ano itsura ng certain type of gown pag suot mo na:)

Hi, corpse_bride! I sent my designer my gown pegs prior our consultation for her to have an idea na of what type I am leaning into. Ideal na siguro ang 3-4 samples kasi more than that baka ma-confuse na si designer. During our meeting, I discussed with her my fashion style and my vision of what I want to look like during our wedding.

I suggest you go to bridal boutiques and try on dresses. This way you would have an idea what form fits your body type and you are comfortable with.

For the attire, I wore a short casual dress. Actually, I am almost forever in a dress so normal sakin yun. Haha. Reputable designers will look into your body/figure talaga to know if your peg suits you.

Just be very open even during consultation pa lang. Tell them what you like but also be open on what they might suggest. If by any chance you are not comfortable with something, address it agad.

sis corpse_bride. just show your designer 4-5 photos of your peg. better that images are consistent with the style / features that you want to incorporate in your own gown. from the silhouette to the neck line to the sleeves and skirt etc. para clear agad kung anong look ang feel mo talaga isoot on your wedding. magssketch naman siya ng design nya for you.

Hala.. My consultation with the 1st designer is tom na. And I'm staring at my board (in Pinterest) blankly. I really have no idea what I want. Even these gowns I pinned doesn't really speak to me. All I know is I want something simple yet elegant & unique. The only gown I liked was mas produced pa by the (diff & local) designer. Is it bad if I just show him the whole board?

^You need to have a clear idea / direction din sis kasi if magulo ka pa, baka mali interpretation ng designer sa gusto at ayaw mo lalo na if contradicting pegs on the cut and type of embellishments.

Shobe! Long time :) well, about your gown dilemma. Ilan percent ba ng budget niyo yung gown mo? If malaki & you couldn't spare that much then put your money elsewhere. But if sky's the limit then go! Maybe have a post-nup/trash the dress photo session para medyo masulit. I'm thinking of having mine rented if papayag mom ko & the designer haha!

About my 1st consultation sa designer ng mom ko, fun naman siya. Medyo nakakawala ng stress pala if you're (potential) supplier does all the thinking for you. He told me to send him a (Pinterest) mood board with everything. Not just gown pegs, pati bridal & entourage flowers, invitation, reception decor pegs. Even the pegs for the entourage kahit hindi siya gagawa. I could have showed him my pinterest right there & then kaso sobrang cluttered with different pegs. He'll do a presentation daw in a few weeks. He told us pa he could do the entourage for way less with existing designs they have sa store. So my mom's sort of sold on him na coz of that.

Thanks again sa mga sissies who advised to wear fitted clothing! Helped my confidence hearing from him that pwede daw ako ng drop-waist/mermaid cut :)

^thanks achi! super hirpa magdecide haha! hindi ko kaya super na mag go waaaay overbudget oa na estimate ng coordinator namin, gusto ko na pababain. super sayang haha, palagi nasaisip madaming nagugutom sa mundo hirap tulog naguguilty ako.
