Chikit, is this the Full Term app? I downloaded that and it's helpful nga! My friend used that and it helped her too. Her contractions were 7 mins apart, for 5 hours.

Sorry but I can't remember ano name nung app.

Thanks fionaapple and simang! Congrats and safe and healthy pregnancy to you both!

When you become a mom is the time when you will NEED your own mom. I swear. It's as if you're back to being a kid na hindi alam ang gagawin. Ofcourse support from partner is important pero iba if you have your mother by your side. I was not able to breastfeed exclusively and was feeling guilty and sad about it. But when my mom said "bakit naman kayo formula lahat pero you turned out well?" I suddenly felt a bit better. As if nalift yung guilt and nabawasan yung anxiety.

Hi mga mommies! Salamat sa mga tips. Dati nakakatulong with my nausea yung malamig na pakwan but this week, what works for me is ginger and lemon sip ko throughout the day. By the way, I had bleeding nung Thursday. I thought we lost the baby but thank God, yung dating polyp ko pala nag-fall off. I had my many firsts. First time sa minor surgery room to cauterize the polyp, first time masweruhan at maconfine. I got discharged yesterday. Tama kayo, pregnancy is both exciting and nakakakaba but I am learning to be strong and trust God with everything. Sabi nga, God's will will lead us to a season where God's grace is more than enough din.

Aww :') My mom is super excited na din for us kasi youngest ako sa family. Hehe. Moms know the right words at the right time talaga.

Super excited also for the grand baby fair this weekend! Kita-kits mga mommies!

On another note, I have so many double gifts nung baby shower ko the other day. Okay lang kaya i-benta or i-give away ko to other mommies? Or would it be unethical? :(

But I see nothing wrong also if you would give/re-gift them. I do that all the time. :)

I get really emotional when i feel my LO move.. Usually pag hapon and then at midnight. Kahit inaral na namin sa school how pregnancy works, hindi pa din ako makapaniwala that there's another heartbeat inside me. Haayyyy :D Can't stop smiling and crying at the same time.

Hi sis sweetiejam,

It's normal to feel that way, anxious and paranoid. Ako nasuyod ko na ata almost all threads here.  Haha. But don't go overboard. And habang maaga, don't google symptoms. Just listen sa Doctor. For the past month, I've been so sad, anxious and paranoid and di ko na enjoy yung 5th month ko sayang. And nakaka guilty kasi stressed out ako and siyempre si baby din.

Pray, keep the faith, always think of the best and most of all, enjoy the beauty of pregnancy. Sayang kasi na worry tayo ng worry about the what ifs and future, hindi natin ma enjoy yung present natin. Today, God wants us to be faithful and trusting AND leave tomorrow, the what ifs and the future to God.

simang: ako I'm almost due and I still love the feeling of my baby moving. Naalala ko yung poem na "i carry your heart" by e.e. cummings and I get slightly teary eyed. Lol. Hormones siguro. Talagang literal we carry our babies' hearts with us. I think I will miss this part of my pregnancy the most, yung feeling of the baby moving and the fact that I'm never alone and and she's never alone, and we only have each other for at least 9 months. Nandyan yung daddy nya, but it's still really just the two of us in the meantime. Wait til your baby rolls pa. It's such a special feeling.

Ang saya maging first time mom. Everything is new and exciting. I'll be 39 weeks this Thursday. Naiinip na kami. Ayos na lahat and baby nalang talaga hinihintay. Ang bilis ng pregnancy ko I can't believe I'm almost due! I remember when I first felt my baby move, when I bought my first maternity clothes, my first doctor's visit, lahat. And now baby is almost here. When I'm alone and mejo nagmumuni muni, I think of what a miracle it is to carry life. A million things can go wrong, a million things can affect even the start of a new life, so pag iniisip ko yun, parang wow, what a blessing indeed. Lol. Our lives are about to change forever. Can you imagine being responsible for another human being? This tiny tiny baby will be so dependent on you. What a huge and awesome responsibility.

Aww catterpillar-girl :') Naiyak ako! Lol hormones nga talaga siguro. Are you having a girl? We're having a girl din... And truth, I can't wait till visible na ang movements nya, gusto ko na din makita and mafeel yun ni husband. Minsan kasi pag sinasabi ko sa kanya na nafifeel ko gumagalaw, hahawakan nya tummy ko then he'll try to feel it kaso wala naman sya maramdaman hehe. Kaya tuwang tuwa sya nung recent ultrasound namin he saw our baby move. 39 weeks ka na? Exciting! Anytime you'll see your baby na. Have a safe delivery!!!

Sweetiejam, normal na sigurong maexxcite at maparanoid pag nagbubuntis, especially for us since this is our first time. Last night nga umiiyak ako sa husband ko sabi ko gusto ko na makita si baby pero alam ko in my heart hindi pa ako ready maging nanay talaga. Natatakot ako na baka hindi ko magawa yung best ko for our baby once lumabas na sya. And yes, let's try not to worry so much kasi lahat ng nangyayari sa katawan natin nararamdaman din yan ni baby.

Pray, keep the faith, always think of the best and most of all, enjoy the beauty of pregnancy.

Couldn't agree more. Sabi nga ni caterpillar, mabilis lang ang pregnancy, we really have to enjoy every moment of it kasi it'll be over before we know it.

OT:sweetiejam, kindly edit your response na lang kasi madaming textspeak

hi guys,

share ko lang this blog i posted back in 2010 when i was losing hope to ever become a mom. now i'm 4 months pregnant. it's not the most ideal circumstance, but it's definitely the most beautiful thing ever to have touched my life. :-)

to my dearest child,

i often wonder what you would be like. would you get my childish enthusiasm for everything juvenile, or would you get your daddy’s penchant for everything concerning comic books and video games. will you inherit his charm and his temper or would you adopt my fragility and uncharacteristic bipolar moods. would you be like me, who labors for meaning and life and love, or like your father whose only joy is to give much of himself to others. what a riot would that be in the house, it’s either you camp with your dad or you side with me, either way there will never be a middle ground because me and dad are two highs, opposing one another all the time. maybe you being in our lives will create the much needed balance, or majority, so that we could finally discard my scrapbook collection with his playstation, or replace the neverending regular tv nights with once in a while gazing at the stars, or to finally put an end to the emotional struggle we’ve been having simply because we are two different people who have been joined by love.

it is quite extraordinary to know that such a simple thought of you gives so much light in my dark days. it’s as if you would be the answer to all my longings. that you would be the epitome of what happiness is, what fulfillment is, what love is… and yet there is fear. how could i ever evolve from a woman to a mother, when i have not yet learned to sever ties with my own. i have been a child for too long that i never get to learn to grow up. the peter pan syndrome might be true for me after all. nevertheless, there is something inside of me that yearns deeply for your love. the feel of you, the thought of you… that tiny speck of miracle that is all mine. how long have i waited for my life to be transformed into yours.

such is my dream… to look in your eyes and see heaven on earth. to tell you stories of how mommie braved the harshness of this world. to have you read my life as it unfolds with its bitterness and its joys, its sadness and its bliss, its disappointments and its fulfillments. to cradle you in my arms in my attempt to shield you from the madness that is all around. to sing you songs of how blessed i am to have to wake up each morning and bask in the sight of you. to let you feel the wonder of love in its truest form… without doubt, without apprehension, without the need to do nor say anything in return.

but alas, these are all far from me now. a dream lost in the viciousness of cruelty and unfairness. my fate has been sealed long before i yearned to have you. the joy of your laughter has been deprived from me. the wonder of your glowing eyes has been withheld for reasons that will forever be painful, forever be like dagger inching its way to my very core. and i will forever be broken… always attempting to find meaning in your absence.

i may never have to hold you in my arms, but in another life perhaps, i will find you… and true love for me may then come true.

-mommie

- hi the empress, that's so touching naman and congrats ha.

Lol. Our lives are about to change forever. Can you imagine being responsible for another human being? This tiny tiny baby will be so dependent on you. What a huge and awesome responsibility.

This is it na and lifetime commitment talaga. Super exciting and iba pala talaga feeling no? Un magkakaroon kayo ng bundle of joy ni hubby!

^kelan ka namili ng baby gears like cribs, strollers and car seat? I'm 26 weeks+1 day pregnant ngayon..

We started buying as early as 20 weeks, when we found out the gender. :) What my husband, in-laws, and I did was inunti-unti namin yung pagbili ng baby gear. The first thing we bought was car seat, then after two weeks, the crib/cot, and so on.

So nung babyshower, what we asked for are the essentials nalang like lampin, bathtub, clothes, blankets, pati toys and books. :)

P.S.: Grand Baby Fair ngayon sa Megamall hanggang sunday (Jan 31) daming sale na baby gears! :)

P.P.S.: If you're planning to buy at Mothercare mommy, keep the receipts, kasi once you reach 30k of purchases, you can get a rewards card na may permanent 10% discount on the succeeding purchases. :) Dun kasi kami mostly bumili ng baby gears (car seat, crib, sterilizer...etc). :P
