Initial budget namin is at 450k, ngayon nasa 630k+ to think 1 year to go pa. Not included pa ang honeymoon, ento dresses, PS and ento gifts, nice-to-haves like LED wall etc. Will really try not to go over 700k. Ceiling na namin 'yun.

I will admit kaartehan na lang 'yung iba kaya rin lumobo budget namin. Gusto na 'ko batukan ni h2b.

omg i can relate! when we were just talking about getting married, budget was 500k.. tapos when we started to inquire w/ suppliers (venue, catering, pv yung pinaka-priorities namin so far), umabot na ng 700k yung "realistic" estimate. 

Mind you at this point we haven't technically booked anything yet (puro inquiries pa lang) so i'm half afraid that once we start actually booking suppliers tataas pa lalo    (or baka bumababa if makakuha kami ng discounts sa bridal fairs hahaha)

^ 'Di ba?? I mean of course there are cheaper options but the heart knows what it wants.

If the suppliers you're eyeing are the type to join bridal fairs then it's better to book them there nga, sayang ang discount or freebies. Pero nakakadala din pumunta sa bridal fair, magiging highly susceptible tayo sa impulsive booking haha.

I am a 2014 bride at napasilip lang ako dito.. ang mahal na talaga magpakasal ngayon! haha enjoy planning ladies! Just a quick suggestion, para di masyadong lumobo gastos, start with a budget tapos work it from there. Kung ano yung suppliers na pasok sa budget, yun ang iconsider. At the end of the day, magmamatter ang life after the wedding. happy preps mga sis!

Honestly, im not sure magkano na ang aming budget sa ngayon. Initially 200k lang plano namin pero lampas na kami kasi naka 2 bili sa gowns ng mothers and suit ni hubby.

Nagstart kami sa 350k. nasa 380K na kami ngayon and wala pang ento attire, groom's attire, rings, and transpo haha. feeling ko aabot kami ng 500k, pero sana stop na dun.

PERO ayoko talagang umabot sa ganyang amount. Plan ko pababain pa.
Question lang, need ba talaga ng wedding planner?
If yes, magkano ba usually?

^for me sis, hindi sya necessity lalo na kung small wedding lang naman. Daming online resources that can help you even without a wedding planner/coordinator. Ako kasi OTD coordinator lang kinuha ko, hands on kasi kami during planning, pati mga DIYs. Yung on the day naman, sure having a coordinator helps lalo na pag maayos yung endorsement. Para wala ka ng asikasuhin and isipin.

^^ full coordination (ie. yung may kasamang wedding planning, sila na mag-aasikaso ng lahat) would be at least 40k. You can get OTD coordination for at least 5k. The tried and tested OTD coordinators would be around 15k up.

Kung ano ang kaya namin i-DIY gagawin namin.
Nag aalala lang ako sa food and reception.
Syempre ang hassle diba kapag habang minimake upan ka e nag kocall pa sa mga suppliers.
Sabe ng partner ko pwede daw yung pinsan nya. E kaso di ko sure kung mapapanindigan kasi galing pang province. Mahirap umasa.
Grabe pala pagpaplano ng pagpapakasal na yan. Daming isipin na nakakaexcite at the same time haha.

^ If able naman to set aside even a small amount for OTD coord, go na sis. This is super important kasi dapat stress-free kayo ni groom on your wedding day so you will need a team talaga to facilitate 'yung mga happenings and errands on the day. Mahirap 'yan iasa sa relative kasi kung mag-fail man, hindi niyo pwede pagalitan kasi "favor" nga lang. Better leave it to the pros na lang.

My initial budget was also 700k. Already 90% done booking suppliers and looks like aabot kami ng 820k

The excess was due to our last-minuted decision to splurge on our wedding rings (opted for platinum), as well as surprise items that we didn't initially budget for, ie. yung styling pala ng garden ceremony does not include tent, chairs and air-coolers  It pays to know the details of what you are budgeting for, rather than just setting a ballpark figure, para walang surprises.

Part of me is still in disbelief that we're spending this much for just one (albeit very special) day tbh. Dati taas-kilay lang ako when friends share anecdotes of how their weddings have breached the 1M mark, but now i fully understand how easily that could happen. At this rate di na kami nag pre-nup, wala din kaming photobooth & guest souvenirs, we didnt pay for ento gowns and my parents gifted us our wedding gown & suit. If we had to pay for all of those pretty sure umabot din kami ng 1M .

The internet is so helpful in giving us inspiration on how to make our weddings beautiful (dare i say insta-worthy), but it also sets high expectations of what your wedding is supposed to have and what it's supposed to look like.

Sorry medyo downer. Minsan napapag-isip lang talaga ako kung paano ako nakain ng sistema haha. Biglang na-miss ko lang yung initial plan namin na 30-guest wedding sa Marcia Adams
