How much is your wedding budget? Part 7

2018 bride here and we've just completed our list of target suppliers. Currently running at 550k. Our original plan is 500k max but looks like we will go overboard. Ugh. Ansakit sa ulo. You want a beautiful wedding dahil once in a lifetime lang sya but nakakapang-hinayang din kasi pwede na pang-down sa bahay yung ganong amount.

True Sis! Kaya whenever we feel na sobrang gastos na we just talk about it and iniisip namin after the wedding we can always save up pa for the house, car, kids, travel, insurances and investments, pero our wedding di na namin mababalik, lest we want to spend na naman haha to re do everything. Kapag naalala namin yun, na this is indeed a once in a lifetime event (hopefully wag na kami ikasal pa sa iba haha) we feel confident to spend, worth it naman.  But of course, within the budget pa din.

500K. Buti kinaya. haha. I was a 2015 bride, held our reception at Vivere Hotel and kasya naman ang 500k for 220 guests. Included na diyan ang p/v, mua, church, gown, flowers, photobooth, souvenirs,  etc.

Baliktad tayo sis. We set the amount we want to spend and set it aside na in a separate bank account pag naubos yun wala na talaga. Pero hopefully, sobra pa. 

Although we can afford to spend millions now on a wedding di pwede because we have earmarked those savings for another investment.

We discussed kasi prior to engagement our financial goals. We set specific goals like we both want to retire early (12 years to go) and kids will go to private school. So we set a financial plan to make sure we can afford to do that.

^^ That's good to hear Sis, sounds like a good plan, siguro dito pa nagkick in yung pagkabagets namin at heart haha, though 30 na din naman kami.  Feeling namin we still have 30 years for that assuming na magreretire kami at the age of 60.  

But we are budgeted, too ha. Di din ako masplurge masyado. Di naman umabot ng 1m wedding namin, nasa 700k lang give or take.

30s na din ako. I'm 33 and he's 42. We want to retire when I'm 45 and he's 55.

LilaFowler I see! Sounds good to me.  Aga! Sarap non! Kaso samin ni h2b mukang mabilis kami mabore if we retire that early, unless we have unlimited funds for travelling, baka maski 40 mag retire kami haha!

hello sises, anyone here git married for a budget of 200k max?we are getting married here in the province so mas cheaper price ang packages, we really need to stick on our budget.. any tips pano po kaya nmin mapapagkasya yun?

we already have a caterer for 100pax and free na [textspeak!] venue for 69,500 then for p/v 47k all in na.. yan pa [textspeak!] sa ngayon. our tentative date is sept. 3,2017..

^ Hmmm. Pinakamurang alam ko na tipid wedding inabot pa din ng around 300k. So far kulang mo na lang na major ay flowers, hair and makeup, wedding gown & suit/barong.

@nhie - make a list of your needs and wants. Make sure you have your needs budgeted first before you start spending on your wants.

Cutting down the number of guests is also a good way of keeping under budget. Pero it can also mean may mga madidisappoint kasi they are not invited.

@Rory_Lorelie_Gilmore - We are targetting at least 200k monthly investment income, so we can travel and not get bored.

Nhie, anong province mo sis? I have a friend na ikinasal sa ilocos and it's way cheaper compared sa Manila. To think na ang bongga ng set-up kasi magaling yung stylist dun. Roughly 300k yung nagastos nya for 100pax. So I think pwede naman.

Wow early retirement na ang topic ng iba satin hehe Ang saya din i-goal yan although with my h2b's profession, he can still work kahit tumanda na sya. And very lax lang naman yung trabaho nya. Baka ako ang magretire early. haha

LilaFowler that's a reasonable retirement monthly budget, if may medical insurance na and educational plans for the kids or nakahiwalay na budget, that is enough, if same pa din halos monetary value ng 200k after 10 years.  Sabagay nagmumura naman cost of traveling.

Btw how much is your wedding budget if I may ask? Since andito naman tayo sa wedding budget thread, haha! Mine is 700k give or take for 150-200 pax, Tagaytay wedding. Kasama na expenses ng pagasikaso ng documents, prenup etc.

nhie good luck Sis, I'm sure there are lots of ways para magkasaya yan, just avoid the add ons, look for a beautiful venue na. etc.

Sis Rory_Lorelie_Gilmore grabe 700k lang for a tagaytay wedding! Galing mo sis sa cost control, kami sumasabog na! Halos same budget natin but we're getting married sa province.

Hahaha nakakatuwa yung retirement na ang topic! Gusto ko rin magretire early kaya we're planning to work abroad for a few years para makapagsave ng pang business. We want to establish a business and then focus on our stocks. But for now, all eyes on the wedding especially the gastos! hahaha

Medyo nahihiwagaan nga din ako, medyo "mura" pa sya considering I got Mariah pa and Law Tapalla, kumbaga di naman kami todo nag scrimp to the fullest of our abilities LOL. So I guess, ok naman, saya!  Take note 700k is an estimate na, meaning nasa 650k palang talaga ang nasa Excel ko.

Research lang talaga kakampi ng budget Brides, and also, try your best to stick to your budget (maski 500k ang initial kong budget, joke time pala yun nowadays  ) and if time permits mag DIY, eh since wala akong tiyaga and talents sa arts and crafts, lahat bili. 

True mura ko nakuha venue and Caterer, kaya din siguro mura ng konti. I chose a venue with a Taal Lake view, para di na masyado kailangan gumastos sa styling, and it's an outdoor  garden wedding, rustic lush ang peg ko since my wedding is on April, summer naman.

Tipid yan sisses as most of our suppliers were entry/midrange.
Good thing we have hotel sponsors because our accomodation alone cost us more than 60k sa Conrad.

Looking back, it was no regrets. God provided us every step of the way

We just wanted a simple dream wedding, but God provided us more of that.
 It is really God who orchestrated and planned everything

^ All glory to God talaga!!! After our wedding lagi ko lang nasa isip na salamat kay Lord for providing us sooooo much!!!! Nakaka-humble makatapos ng wedding.. Kasi pag binalikan mo lahat mapapaisip ka kung paano nairaos ang mga bagay-bagay. He is truly the BEST PROVIDER di lang financially pero sa buong kalahatan. <3

Rory_Lorelie_Gilmore, wise budget na yan sis lalo kung sabi mo nga na midrange yung mga suppliers mo.

We are within our revised budget din. We did a revision since our budget is for 150 pax when we started planning. But the final number of guests is 200 so yung budget ang nagadjust LOL.

@Rory_Lorelie_Gilmore - Similar budget pero we only have 50 guests. We are looking at 700k for 50 guests. That includes all documents din and airfare and accommodation.

Inabot ng mga 120k yung airfare namin (both international and domestic) and accommodation not including pa the trip that we are making next week for supplier meetings and  ocular inspection kasi we're considering that a "holiday."

Siguro for me, another 50k pa personally ginastos ko for my family kasi I paid for my parents and grandparent's airfare and accommodation.

The only reason I mentioned retirement etc is to remind people that there is still life after the wedding and wag ibuhos lahat ng funds sa wedding. I know pwede pa ulit mag ipon after but you never know what will happen in life and it's always good to have something set aside in case things don't go as planned.
