Prior planning out our wedding, our estimated budget is around 800k. Then when we started planning, its at 1M na, then sabi ko all in 1.2M. Now we are at 1.45M. And ayoko na dagdagan pa. 

We have separate savings ni h2b, but its not enough to pay for our wedding suppliers kasi last year medyo magastos din kami. So its real time ipon, we started saving up last January from our income, and our wedding is on April 2017. Our parents naman are very supportive kasi we wanted sana to resched to a latter date so we can save up some more, but they don't want na kasi they want to have apos na raw! haha weird! So yeah, our parents will help out especially my dad, supportive sya maybe because I am the only daughter and hindi naman ako nagdebut na bongga. BUT, as much as possible, we wanted that at least 80% of our budget kami na. But I do believe that GOD will provide. We can all do it!

Hi Sis Chili1113, your wedding looks expensive nga! Feeling ko rin its because of your add ons. If I remember it correctly, sayo yung covered with flowers yung led wall which became my peg. Ako hanggang 1.5M lang sana ang max, kaya I decided na mag mid range stylist na lang even if Teddy gave me a very reasonable price, he works around the budget yun nga lang nakukulangan ako.

Omg. Ang mahal na pala magpakasal ngayon. We got married in January 2013. Spent 600k all in kasama na pati honeymoon namin sa Thailand lang naman. My initial budget was 250k. We started saving a year before our wedding. I was 24 and he was 26. Looking back, sana mas nag tipid pa ako kasi mas madami ang gastos after the wedding at pag mapreggy na.

Sis kaitlynmischa same tayo sis nagiipon pa rin kami. Actually ako walang savings account before kasi i'm so magastos so ngayon lahat ng extra money napupunta sa ipon. Buti si h2b meron ng ipon dagdagan nalang namin. As much as possible I also wanted us to shoulder the expenses but baka kulangin. Nice that my parents understand and said they would help kahit dun sa mga suot nila and the invitations.

Kami naman ni h2b our goal is dapat less than 1M So far so good nasa right track pa kami We are still saving for the wedding until now kasi our personal savings were previously used sa emergencies na nangyari 2 years ago, but no regrets naman, part ata talaga ng buhay na kahit gaano mo pag-ipunan o paghandaan ang isang bagay marami pa rin pangyayari na "unplanned". Naniniwala kami na God will provide and we are very grateful kasi most of our suppliers naman ay super happy kami at nakuha namin with discounts

I swear, every time I think of our wedding budget, it's exactly like the 5 stages of grief.  As in denial, anger, bargaining, depression and then acceptance. In the beginning, my fiancé and I didn't set a budget.  We both live overseas and figured that since the wedding will be in Manila, we automatically assumed that everything will be cheaper compared to here in the states.  I know, stupid diba?

Anyway, after getting engaged, I was telling him that 1m will be a good budget to work with and we were both comfortable with that because it's still considerably cheaper than holding our wedding here.  But then if you factor in flights, accommodations and other things related to having a wedding that is not in your hometown,wishful thinking nalang pala yon. I'm embarrassed to say that our budget has blown to an exorbitant amount since then.

One big tip I have for all the brides here is if you the funds now, pay your most expensive suppliers (usually venue and catering) at least 90% of what is owed 8-10 months before your wedding.  As long as they have a good reputation and well known in the industry, paying them almost everything in full allows a lot of breathing room.  These days, I've decided to just let go of my budget woes and be thankful that we're having the wedding we've always wanted.  We're not exactly young anymore (I'm 33, he's 30), and we've accomplished our investment goals prior to planning the wedding, so this is is something we are gifting ourselves with.  My mantra for the next few months is to just breathe and let go.

Ms. JanDel: Thank you sis! I still wish I saved some money though hehe. Hmmm aside from the food, the next biggest expense was the stylist, and also my wedding ring hehe. But perhaps I should have not hired a choir, skipped the prenups, skipped the chair upgrade, skipped the fireworks, stuck with a cheaper ento gown supplier, cheaper invitation, less beauty treatments (although I didn't include this in the total costing)!

We spent within the budget, and I am happy with the outcome. But still I realize all those weren't necessary and I would have loved to spend the money on more practical things we can enjoy everyday.


Tinsflor: Hahahaha I laughed out loud with the 5 stages of grief in budgeting comment of yours!!! =) =) HAHAHAH You are so correct!!! LOL. I went through all those stages and I think I am still going through some anger/denial/depression when I compare to all the things I could buy with the money spent. Hahaha

Next month na wedding namin and happy ako na under kami sa sinet namin na budget. Kelangan rin kasi namin magtipid kasi preggy ako so need rin pagipunan panganganak ko. Hehe.

We were able to save by:
*Choosing a morning wedding. No need na kumuha ng separate L/S supplier kasi nga di naman need ng moodlights. Plus di na rin kami kumuha ng mobile bar kasi nga bihira lang  magkaroon ng afterparty ng tangaling tapat. Hehe.

*Getting the services only packages. We got the cheapest packages of our P/V, meaning bare necessities lang ang kasama. Services only yung sa photo, then cinematic highlights sa video. Reputable suppliers pa rin naman sila so assured pa rin ako sa quality of their work. Wala kaming SDE, photo AVP and other videos, so di na kami kumuha ng projector and screen. Additional savings ulit.

*Gamitin ang friendly discount! Haha! I didnt ask for help talaga but since may mga kaibigan/kamag-anak kami na nagprisinta na sagutin ang isang item for the wedding, well di na ako tumanggi. Haha.

Our initial budget is 500K pero impossible dream pala yun, 2 years ago pa namin sinet after niya magproposed nun Dec 2014.

Last February lang namin nalaman mga prices and ranges, nagulat kami nung una kasi hindi namin alam mahal pala, hanggang sa na-enjoy at inenjoy nalang namin [textspeak!] planning dahil meron naman kaming Kasal Fund and it's a blessing!

Ngayon nasa 600K na kami sa December pa ang kasal, may mga kulang pa din, 700K ang maximum namin, pero kung i-total ko, kasama pamasahe +100K pesos. Kaya kung mareach namin na 700K ang maximum +100k, 800K din ang magiging expenses namin.

Our top 4, venue, caterer, P/V. 150 lang guest namin pero sa budget nag extra kami. Happy preps everyone!

tama ka dyan sis tenza. pareho tayo na naengaged last december 2014 and since nagpakasal yung sister ko ng january 2015, we decided na 2016 na lang magpakasal and this december din. at first yan din budget ko then nagstart na kami maghunt for reception and mga suppliers, nag balloon na at hanggang ngayon ganun pa rin. Buti na lang nakuha namin yung ticket namin na naka sale dahil kung hindi abutin din kami ng halos 200k sa pamasahe lang. I spent more on reception, p/v and gown. hehe. Konting tulog na lang, ang bilis ng panahon. Sabi ko noon, tagal pa almost 2 years pa nung na engage kami pero ngayon 4 months to go na lang!!! Good thing nagkakaroon na din ng linaw ang preparations ko, nalakad ko yung ibang suppliers nung umuwi ako for emergency last year. Iba pa rin pag nakakausap mmo personal at nakikita mo kesa yung lahat inaasa ko lang online. halos mabaliw ako noon sa paghanap ng supplier.

hi sis @iamfarrah same na same tayo sis  hindi din kasi namin kakayanin kung agad agad 2015 na ang wedding kaya ginawa naming December 2016, pero yung unang plan August 2016, kaya lang nagkasakit ako nung August 2015 hehe anniversary month namin yung August.

Umuwi kami nun February to book the date lang sis tas the rest supplier online online lang, may mga mistakes kami naencounter pero nairaos naman na ngayon.

Ano pang kulang mo sis medyo madami pa kami kulang pero alam ko makakaraos din yan in God's grace.

Same with sis @itsKat and sis @Chili1113. H2b availed a full package wedding. He even shouldered my upgraded hmua. But i opted to pay for my gown even if its included in the package. I chose my own designer. So the supposed amount for the gown in the package can be used for other things like hotel for preps and crew meals. I also volunteered to shoulder the expenses for the ring so that I have my freedom to choose. 😊

Hi sis @girlush, originally the plan was to have a garden wedding in Taalena or Casa De Corazon, but we decided to have a Caleruega wedding na tapos reception would be anywhere near the church kasi July2017 kami at bagyuhin sa bandang Tagaytay ng mga panahong yun. We also decided to have a morning wedding para mas tipid let's say sa mga lights and all.

Ot ata to pero narealize ko lang na malapit na masurpass ng pag gawa ng baby expenses yung wedding+honeymoon expenses namin. Wish I saved more sa wedding knowing mahihirapan pala kami magkababy. But I'm 26 weeks preggy now after more than 3 yrs of marriage. Wala lang, share ko lang para dun sa mga tulad ko na tinodo talaga ang wedding expenses to the point na naubos ang savings. Hehe.
