How much is your wedding budget? Part 7

now that we are done booking all our suppliers for July. We exceeded 100K from our initial budget for simple wedding. I have applied all my budgeting and bargaining skills there.

Our inital budget was 500k for a provincial wedding. Right then nagdecide na kami na magsplurge kami sa P/V. Pero ngaun na may target suppliers na kami we're at 660k!!! We have already booked PV, and bought our wedding rings (lay away). June [textspeak!] bridal gown and August yung venue and Church (since August pa ako uwi ng province). Sana naman huwag na lumaki pa. hahaahha!..Tama kayo mga sis as much na minsan nakakapanghinayang yung gastos, malaking life event siya. Nagiipon din kami ng pambayad, pagmayipon bayad agad tapos ipon ulit. Thanks God talaga na continuous ang blessings at walang mga problems na dumarating. haaist! Happy preps sis!

Kapos din kame sa budget. Ang mahirap pa pag overseas, unang beses nameng uuwi, so may pasalubong pa kame. Grabe lang    Plus budget pa namen dahil 1 month kame sa pinas. Yung mga lakad ng family malamang sagot namen yun lahat. Nakakaloka lang diba?

Like all of you, pikit mata nalang. Once in a lifetime event ito.

Initially, we agreed on setting the ceiling at 250-300k for our simple church wedding. Now that we're almost done with all our suppliers, it's at 700k hahahaha!  Hopefully that's it

Hahahaha, relate much ako dito. Initial budget namen 300k, sabi namen simple nalang. Ngayon, nasa 700k na din kame. Hindi pa kasama ang WEDDING GOWN ko at WEDDING RING namen, just imagine how much itong mga to. Hahahah! Plus Bridal Shoes ko, Groom's Suit, Groom's Shoes. Nakakaloka lang talaga!

^Sis hermione28, I hope they'll go easy on you on the other lakad's. I think it's also fine to say it outright naman or inform them in advance na when you go out, KKB because your funds went to the wedding and then just say na bawi kayo next uwi. They shouldn't stress you out and stretch your savings so much. I think they'll understand.

For the mean time, effort sa pag-budget! I feel the same because we're doing planning rin from overseas. Kaya natin 'to!

@hermione28- I feel your pain sis.  We're also based overseas. I'm not even working at the moment. But am so happy na before I resigned last year, I made sure na may share ako sa wedding plus yung monthly padala ko for my mum eh aabot till this year hehe. Until I start work after the wedding.

Anyways, what we did, we informed our relatives na  uuwi kami ng walang pasalubong. Shempre may uwi pa din small somethings, pero for immediate family lang. And hindi na sya bongga. Pasensya na lang sa iba pero  ikakasal kami. They were understanding naman. I think if they truly care they will accept it naman.  Chaka it really is not a requirement naman (pasalubongs) but it is a nice gesture.

Our initial budget was 500K. But since we opted for a good caterer, plus we are also shouldering our immediate relatives' accomodation and transport, hindi sya magkakasya. So we increased our budget to 800K. Now we are at about 950K but that's with a 100K emergency fund. So happy to say it is still within our budget.  Although, I do have to say that our wedding rings are not included, nor our honeymoon budget. Kaya good luck sa atin. Less than 3 weeks to go! Kaya natin ito! Aja!

Initial budget namin 600K ngaun nagshoot up na sa 800K++.
Pikit mata na lang kami ni h2b since we've waited for this event for more than a decade.

Tama pag based overseas, wala muna pasalubong pag nagbakasyon.. as much as possible wag masyadong gagastos. Save save save.

Overseas Bride here: Pasalubong is not necessary, you should learn how to say NO. =)

Anyway, Since our wedding is on December 2017, our budget is 800k Fix, i already account all the possible expense including the food of the crew, van rentals (for family), tagaytay stay, etc.

For now, Church palang yung naka book. Can't wait to attend a bridal fair.

True! Super relate ako sa inyo. Being an overseas bride myself, we initially set our wedding budget expenses to a max of 500K, including our airfares, 45 days stays as PHL, rings, airfares and accommodation of immediate family who will be coming to Manila for the wedding. But as of now were up by 40% na, honeymoon not yet included. But thankfully there are a lot of options and help from online resources like w@w and GT so even though we can't physically go to bridal fairs, nakakakuha pa din ng good deals from reputable suppliers.

As for pasalubong, we seriously do not consider having one. We're just being practical. Probably we'll give chocolates para sa mga kids but that's it.

Hello, ladies! I'm a newbie here. Kindly enlighten me... Possible ba na magkasya ang 150k or less than 200k budget for 2017 wedding? We'll have around 130-150 guests including kids. Don't want to spend a lot for the wedding, coz we prefer preparing for our future life as newly weds.

^150-200K wedding for 150 guests?  To be honest sis, probably not. Because even if you hire suppliers (like usually the ones in Wedding supplier Philippines), wherein they claim "Everything-all-in for a 100K wedding", even they have a cap for only 100 guests.  Plus they also have limited suppliers. Plus if you factor in the inflation rate as well, for 2017 it might be more possible to have a 200-300K minimum  for 100 guests. 

The suppliers that take a big chunk off of your budget would be the photo/video, caterer, venue, rings, and in some cases the wedding gown, stylists as well, but this is optional.  This is just my twopence worth from canvassing suppliers about a year ago. Initially we had a 500K budget but that soon ballooned when we decided that there are some suppliers that we definitely want to be in our wedding.

^^same opinion with missus o, lalo na yearly nagtataas ng rates ang mga suppliers and some pa nga is every mid year and december sila nag iincrease ng rates, imagine 2x per year. I think possible naman ang 300k for 200 guest because I have a friend na ganun ang naging wedding spending nya. I think you should start to look for suppliers within your budget. Try to search in divi for suppliers may mga trusted suppliers naman there and read mo mga thread here sis para mas madami ka options dahil makakatulong talaga ang mga advices ng previous brides dito and their experiences.

 But nung meron ng mga prospect suppliers with their rates, excess na ng 50K. 

Trim down nalang namin siguro yung guest.

Need ba talaga ng wedding coordinator?

^ malaking help sis kahit otd coordinator lang. Though di pa tapos wedding ko pero I have a cousin na hindi kumuha ng coordinator at stress na stress si MOH nya then may mga nakalimutan pa sa bahay pati yung pagpasok ng mga entourage sa church. Then naexperience ko sa sister ko na nag otd, halos wala akong ginawa as MOH, inendorse lang nila sakin yung mga gamit ni bride pati mga gifts after ng reception. Hassle free lalo na kung effective yung team na makukuha mo. Kasi mas maganda naman lahat nag enjoy sa wedding mo kasama mga entourage mo kahit mag offer pa sila na sila gumawa ng this and that.

the reason bat ako kumuha ng otd kasi ayoko mastress mga friends and family ko. gusto ko relax sila at maenjoy nila wedding namin.

^jaziz same with missus o. and it will really fall on your priorities. Like me and hubby our number 1 priority is caterer so when we set our budget at first we didn't realize that we will consume it only with our caterer. Also your number of guest has a big factor on your budget

need nga talaga OTD coordinator. nagtanong din ako sa future sis-in-law ko sabi nya if maibabalik lang daw nya sana kumuha siya coordinator. 

so ayun inform ko na din si fiance at sabi basta pasok sa budget. if hindi kami kuha nito sa gown or sa ring namin idagdag.

marami naman sis na affordable otd at the same time magaling din. Tska maganda yung mga suggestions ng mga graduate brides na kasi naexperience nila first hand. Basta patience din kailangan mo sa paghanap

For us to save sa wedding, i think the best thing to do is to limit yung budget up to sa money na willing nyo ishellout ni husband. Us, we exceeded sa budget namin but it doesnt exceed that much. I think its because napakatight ko sa budget. Hahaha. Even, 500 pesos pa yan, ittrimdown ko. Kahit 200 pa yan, iipitin ko just to make sure na it fits sa budget. Hehe. You should know whats your priority. If yung mga gusto mong addons pasok pa sa budget mo, then you can add. But if your addons are too much, think thrice if you need it. Ilang accessories sa wedding ang hindi ko na inallowed sa wedding namin, (upgraded flowers, photobooth, mobile bar, bridal car, prep dress, letter standees and so much more) and i didnt regret kasi the wedding went so well na i realized, buti na lang hindi ko sila ininclude! Hehe. And, scout for an affordable supplier. There are so many affordable suppliers out there, most of them are not known, but they executed more than you expect from them. You just need to trust them. 🤗

Our goal was to keep everything below 750k when we started planning for our wedding, but it seems like we wont be able to keep this budget. Ang mahal pala talaga magpakasal these days! Happy preps everyone!
