Errands/Last Minute Preps on the Week / Day Before Wedding

^2 weeks before the wedding umuwi husband ko nauna ako sa kanya ng 1 month. Grabe halos every day kami umaalis non. Marriage License Application,Precana, nagpa kumpil pa sya, suit and gown fitting, canonical interview, japan visa, arranging of seat plan, headcounts, pre nup pictorial, salon appointments. Buti nalang mura yung gas that time hehe.

wow sis shygirlme, lagari pala ang schedule! few days before our wedding on feb, im pretty sure we will be busy picking up h2b's relatives from the airport as most of them will be coming from the province. hopefully all set na including small details. kung hindi masstress talaga ako. 3 days before wedding saka pa lang namin bibilhan ng rtw gown si mil pagdating nya dito sa manila.

^sa sobrang hectic sis nag breakout skin ko haha! To add pala di ko pa nasama nag grocery pa kami sa s&r for the pica pica. And bought 2 boxes of mineral water for wedding preps. Tapos may OB appointment pa ko nyan hehe. A day before kami nag check in sa hotel pick up ng gown and suit namin. Tapos pick up ng gifts for ento and our cord. Tapos sa gabi may stag party husband ko. The day naman ng check in sa hotel eh parents and sister ko ang umalis to pick up their gowns, bought shoes tsaka pinick up din nila yung wedding signage namin. Tapos before pa kami nagcheck in sinundo pa namin family ng husband ko dumaan sa bank to widraw the money pambayad sa suppliers. Pag ka check in nag ayos pa ng bayarin for suppliers. Tapos nagpa gupit pa husband ko and nung gabi na ayos ng guest lists at table arrangement. Oh di ba ang busy talaga! Haha!

shygirlme Medyo nakaka-panic naman yan sched mo. And to think, you got there a month ahead. Pano pa kayo ang 2 weeks lang? Any other tips from fellow overseas brides?

^hay naku sis basta iplan nyo lang ng ayos. Yung husband ko kasi mabagal kumilos tsaka di sinunod ginawa kong timeline kaya yan hehe!

I'm based overseas din. first week of june ang wedding, umuwi kami mid-may. basically we only had 2 weeks talaga to get everything sorted. it was super busy and totoo araw araw kaming umaalis, basta make a sched of all to do's and discuss it with hubby, focus on the preps. inform your suppliers too para ma-block nila ang dates if you need to meet some of them. ang dami namin naaccomplish during that period. multi tasking at it's finest. you'll be okay, basta ilista lahat ng kailangan gawin para you won't miss any detail.

@shygirlme and @bellv_2g parang feeling ko magiging ganyan ang sched namin  sa wedding namin next year. Since based overseas din kami, but I'll be going home a month before the wedding pero si hubby will be going home only a week and a half prior to. Mahirap kasi kumuha ng holiday off da work nya. We're already sorting out kung paano sya pwedi makumpilan dito sa US and kung san kami pwedi kumuha ng marriage seminars. Plus kailangan kong lagariin yung mga DIYs ko hehe..i have about 7.5 months to go, and feeling ko nastrestress na ako...

Sis advice lang don't stress too much. Sa totoo lang di ko pinush sarili ko mag DIY kasi di ko talaga linya hehe. Ang stress lang sa kasal ko yung malapit na kasi lagi na kami umaalis. Nakakapagod!

^same with shygirlme, didn't bother to stress myself with diys. considering diy materials are not cheap.
baata don't forget to make your list of things to do's. you can start the list now, para whenever something pops on your mind, lista agad, that way wala kayong malilimutan. ps: do not ignore small details.

Same tayo shygirlme, bumili pa kami shoes and withdraw pa. Yun isang menu sa food namin 3 days before lang kami nag finalize. Nakakapagod yun ilang days before the wedding. Parang gusto ko na lang matapos yun kasal sa pagod ko. Si hubby din kasi mabagal. May ilang to do's nga kami ako na lang gumawa diko na siya inantay.

Thanks for the advice mga sis At the moment I'm just doing the DIY's na I can as I have the time so far since housebound ako at the moment hehe. Comcerned lang ako, kasi natatakot ako magpadala ng balikbayan box these days with our wedding DIY's with the excessive taxation ng mga buwaya sa BOC

grabe nataranta ako reading this thread ahahaha! ang dami palang last minute preps or asikasuhin before wedding. aminado ako madalas ako mataranta,minsan nga sa dami ng iniisip madalas may nakakalimutan kaya tama talaga suggestions nyo na maglista.gumawa ako ng listahan ng dapat bilhin, dapat i-ready for turn over sa coor pati ultimo pins that guest might need inilista ko para sigurado. i keep on reading my list eto ang sakit na ng ulo ko hehe.kakapagod talaga pag malapit na wedding date lalo na yung paalis alis kayo pag weekend as in walang pahinga ma-realize mo na lang monday na uli mag work ka na uli then come weekend may lakad uli, hay..pero sabi nga ng iba konting tiis dahil after the wedding back to normal na sched at pahinga mo.lately naiiyak ako sa pagod at antok:)but don't get me wrong i love being a hands-on bride kakapagod lang talaga pag pareho kayong nagtratrabaho and weekends are your only chance to do your wedding preps.naalala ko last week, i cried dun sa rep ng caterer ko, kasi di magtagpo sched namin ng AE ko, kaso gusto ko sanang ma-meet na sya for some detailing para alam ko anong kulang ko or pwede pang idagdag pero di sya available pag weekend dahil may events din sya so we met her rep pero di naman makadecide rep puro sulat lang din so naiyak ako sa frustration.we live in batangas but we're having our wedding in manila since andun side ko so yung travel sa manila is important to us specially on weekends since yun lang available time namin. we try to meet our schedules and suppliers as much as we can everytime para sulit ang travel.naikwento ko lang sorry napahaba:)

Sis, rest kayo 2 days before as much as possible.
3days before, i had may hair color and gel nail polish (para matagal, di agad masira)
Message (Text blast and email) your suppliers - contact numbers and map for the venue, hotel and church.

2days before i had my wax session

Check all the things needed onced check in, para if may nakalimutan, mapapadala nyo pa sa family.
A day before, inayos ko yung mga things sa prep place label all your DIY's, if naka box, label nyo din ano laman.

Be sure na bigay lahat ng details sa coord, may mga bagay na pwede nila makalimutan. Kaya better na detalyado.

5 days before the wedding lang yata nakauwi yun from abroad.

Day before the wedding? Clearance sa Church.
Grabe yun sa Mt. Carmel ayaw sila i cleared. Muntik na talaga di matuloy yung kasal dahil don! Haha. Kakaloka talaga.

buti ka pa sis nakapaglista ka na... ako wala pa.. wala akong maisip na lalagyan na mura kundi balikbayan box! kaso dyahe naman kasi di matulak tulak unlike nung plastic container with wheels na mas mahal kesa box.

i have to sis twinxz, napaka-makakalimutin ko lately.napapansin na nga ni h2b na medyo disorganized ako. we recently had our prenup session and i forgot to book my hmua ahead so ang siste nagpa make up ako sa salon sa mall tapos ang damit ko narealize ko walang partner so we bought pa din sa mall a few hours before our prenup!hay grabe! nakakahiya nga sa P/V namin eh pero ang bait at understanding pa din nila. anyway, h2b is actually suggesting of taking a short trip somewhere para daw ma-relax kami.ang sweet lang

Suggestion. This is my list mga sis. I used big boxes of jack and jill snack sa pinas, binalutan ng cartolina to make it neat. Then put big names i.e."tan-lim wedding, date, venue"
then lable the box saan sia papunta.
Sa ibabaw ng box, nakasulat kung ano ang laman ng kada box.

Provide a box for :
1) preparation venue
Things like ---
Bride and groom door tags
Chichirya
Candies
Coffee
Disposable cups, stirrer
Tissue
Emergency kit- needle, perdible, sinulid, epoxy, medicine, napkin

2) church
Here comes the bride banner
Candles
Veil
Cord
Lighter and matches
Signing pens
Alay

Bible
3 pillows for Ring, bible, arrhae
Party popper
Misallettes

3) reception
Photoframes
Letter standees
Few DIY stuff for registration table

6) not a box but an accordion folder will do. Put:
All original contracts for coordinators reference
Handover files
List ng supplier, balance, and sign to acknowledge received payments.

One week before, medyo chill kami ni hubby.
Wednesday - confession day and kumpil. We booked our crew meal na malapit lang sa church.
Booked our balloon na malapit lang rin sa church.
Had pedicure, manicure.
The night before, we chit chat and made cheques for our suppliers.
