Who's going to the bridal fair sa weekend? May nakapag kwento saken na mas malaki daw ang discount pag first day ng fair? Medyo naweirdohan ako pero baka may experience kaya na ganon nga. Di kasi ako available ng Saturday, so Sunday pa ko maka pag fair. Sayang naman kung mas malaki ang discount pag first day. :[

I will ask my friends kasi to book lang sa fair. I was thinking kung sa Jan 23 Fair sa PICC ko nalang sila papuntahin. Parang mas madami kasing exhibitors don kesa sa saturday? Di ko lang sure pero sa exbihitor's list mas madami eh.

Sana ma-pick-up ng malalaking networks to para magkaliwanagan na. Sa church namin wedding rites only pa lang 5k na. e 18K ang package with flowers, choirs, etc.

^OMG sis sana ma clarify itong issue na to. Our church is 15K no choir, no carpet, no flowers. Pero Okay lang naman samin kasi dream church ko sya and sa pagkakaalam nga namin eh may bayad talaga. But if the article is true, sana magbaba sila ng memo. hehe! Iba iba rin kase rates ng mga church, it means na hindi standard yung rule na yun, kung rule naman talaga.

@sis hermione28, sa experience ko, usually mas marami and mas bigatin mga suppliers sa getting married bridal fair or any bridal fair sa SMX. Hehe. Maganda rin yung Weddings and Debuts Fair sa Megamall. Mas sulit puntahan. 😊

Ako sis punta ko sa bridal fair pero baka Sunday din ako makapunta kasi andun yung photographer mismo namin sa booth nila sa Sunday morning. Eh gusto ko kasi din siya imeet, madami kasi ako tanong.

^I think what the article is pertaining to free weddings-- or the weddings where in you request the parish priest for a wedding--which is done after a regularly scheduled public mass. The priest will wed you quickly, and giving the nuptial rite with just 2-4 witnesses. This is still being done in all parishes. This of course is free sans minimal admin fees for the marriage cert. paperwork perhaps.

Ibang usapan when you reserve the entire church for a wedding with how many guests. Of course the parish has expenses kasi-- electricity for the lights, fans, aircon (if any), sound system, cleaning services, clearing the aisle after the wedding of any decorations, sweeping the scattered petals etc.

Example: It was my parent's 40th wedding anniversary and so my mom wanted to be blessed by the priest in Santuario San Antonio where they got married. They would have had to pay 29k if they wanted a PRIVATE mass for an exchange of vows, just like the regular wedding fees. BUT my mom didn't have to pay anything for us to attend the regular mass with a petition/prayer for their anniv. Then after our family went to the back of the church in a private room where the priest blessed my parents and they did a quick renewal of vows. This was FREE.

^oh maybe nga sis. kasi sa province minsan may kasal na 3 kayo. Pero may bayad pa din yun depende sa principal sponsors nyo. I understand naman na mahal yun church ko bayad sa aircon at ilaw. Di lang makatarungan yung flowers for 17k. na pag nakita mo itsura eh simple lang. well they use it naman after pag may mga mass.

^I think pwede free but dapat minimum requirements lang which is 2 witnesses/ principal sponsors. Hehe di ata pwede pag madami kasama ninangs and ninongs or kasama buong family na mga 20 people hehe.

In our pre-cana seminar given by the church we're getting married in (Magallanes Church), they mention that weddings don't have to be expensive. They tell us that you only need a minimum of 2 witnesses, one priest, and the couple for it to be valid, and this service can be availed of for free or almost free in needed. =) =) =) But I guess for most of us who want a private mass, and wedding regular fees apply hehe.

from past brides, they say that suppliers in the getting married fair are more filtered compared to other fairs. since the organizer is kutchie zaldarriaga, a coordinator herself, she only allows suppliers she can vouch for. so less chance of you getting "fly by night" suppliers:)

I personally liked the Getting Married Bridal fair the best among the others I've been to. Parang di masyado in your face yung suppliers dun when they present you with their packages. Although good thing din when I went last year it was during the pope's visit and konti lang yung tao so I got to ask all my questions to suppliers I have shortlisted. Plus that was where I booked our videographer and we are very happy with the outcome of our SDE last weekend.

Hi girls My fiance and I went to SM Megamall last January 10 for the 17th Wedding & Debut Fair. Kakadisappoint lang kasi ang konti. Mostly P/V pa. Bawat liko namin, P/V. Pero medyo okay na din kasi yung P/V namin, si Studio1, nandon, naclarify namin yung mga missing items sa contract namin. Target kasi namin: coord, florist, bridal car, couturier at souvenir supplier. Ang konti talaga.

Another disappointing experience, meron kaming nakausap na supplier na magbook na daw kami sa kanila that day kasi last day na daw yun saka hindi na nila ibibigay yung ganung discount sa next fair na aattendan nila. At medyo may pamimilit pa dahil wala pa daw silang nabubook that day. To hear that, mas naging uncomfortable kami ni fiance. Dahil kung walang nagpapabook, meaning hindi sila okay or not at par ang kanilang performance. Kaya kahit umuwi kami ni fiance na walang nabook, masaya pa din kami kasi hindi kami naging impulsive at hindi kami parang naholdap yung feeling, yung nakapaglabas ka ng pera pero may doubts ka naman.

Actually, I'm excited to go this Sunday sa SMX. Kasi mas maraming suppliers and andon din yung mga prospects namin. As much as possible, we will attend fairs this first quarter of 2016 para by second quarter, pwedeng magpahinga ng konti.

^Sis when I go to a bridal fair, talagang meron ako naka target na na suppliers hehe Otherwise, I don't bother going.

Hehe there is another Bridal fair in Megamall this Feb and I am only going there to pay my balance to Hearts and Bells for my cake and finalize the contract. I dont want to go na kasi to their Binondo office.

Beforehand, check the vendors or suppliers who will be in a certain bridal fair. Then email them and ask for their REGULAR rates. Then search online for reviews on them. Minsan kasi--- kunyari they give discounts sa bridal fair eh hindi naman talaga. And not all suppliers in bridal fairs are good and reputable.

Also know that some of the very best suppliers do not join bridal fairs. In fact, most of the high end suppliers and well established ones do not join bridal fairs anymore.

3 weeks to go and I still weigh the same. Hayaan na, mahal naman niya ako despite the fats.
I would like to share my suppliers with you, but these are my friends (except florist and L/S whom I hate), very not big time so baka wala lang pumansin. Haha
Prenup was done 2 weeks ago and very pleased with the outcome.

2 weeks to go! super busy na but very excited! i dont really feel stressed at all despite of having a million things on my to-do list. im just always happy and i feel like every problem we encounter has a solution and there's no reason to be stressed out about it. ako pa tuloy ang nagpapakalma kay h2b and parents. i just hope i feel this way until the big day! stay positive!

Sis Chili1113, actually I checked the list of exhibitors. Siguro, I expected too much saka naexcite kasi last fair we attended was last November pa. Pressured din and somewhat jealous to other couples na andami nang nabook kahit a year to go pa ang wedding nila. I would really like to book everything as early as possible para di kami mahassle ni fiance. Buti na lang andon si Studio1, may naaccomplish kami kahit papano. Sobrang konti ng tao nung day na pumunta kami. Looked like the exhibitors were getting bored too, di na ganun kaaccommodating, hinihintay na lang matapos yung araw.

Ask ko lang if anyone knows how much do we usually give to the officiating priest for the wedding? Yung magkakasal kasi sa amin priest friend ng sis ko pero syempre kahit papaano dapat magbigay din kami. Thanks...It's only 5 months to go...still a lot of things to finalized! OMG!
