I was born a Catholic but I was baptized din as INC when I married my INC ex husband. Don nabuksan ang isip ko na andaming mali sa religions. Hubby ko now is Catholic so we go to Catholic church sometimes pero dko masabi na I don't believe in any churches any longer... sinasamahan ko na lang sya.

sis pa OT ha. paano mo nasabing  nabuksan ang isip mo? sa paanong paraan? pede mo ba ma share experience mo noong naging INC member ka?  tia

Have you watched PK of Aahmir Khan. Its a Bollywood movie about God and religion. Bigla ko lang naalala nung nagawi ako sa thread na eto. Maganda, it tackles religion in a humorous, entertaining way. Alien kasi siya and he needs to return to his planet. Tapos laging sinasabi ng napagtatanungan niya na only God can help him. So he started to look for God. Sabi niya confusing nga kasi lagi sinasbi sa teaching that there is only one God, pero tingin niya there are 2. One who created all of us. And the other one who is created by the head of a religion. We only know the God created by the religion, kung ano yung gusto nilang ipaniwala sa atin, but we know very little about the real God. Basta maganda, hope you can watch the movie.

Wala na din akong religion ngayon, pero I was raised as a Catholic. Most people know except sa parents and relatives. Alam na din ng mga kapatid ko.

Parang di rin ako naniniwala na may 1 true God who created us all. Naniniwala ako sa energy, sa law of attraction, sa universe.

Wala naman ako bad experience as INC dati sis. Nabuksan lang ang isip ko na andaming mali sa religion. kasi I was born a Catholic.. Lumaki ako na I was taught not to question the teachings but just to follow and have faith. When I started to learn about INC,don ako naging open minded. I guess it paved the way para maging theist ako. I thnk religion is just created to gain power over people.

for me religions are built for personal reasons lang. for control.
even sa Catholics, diba nung nasakop tayo ng Spaniards they used religion to us.

i feel sad.. how the world is becoming because of it. how it divides us more.

another observation that id like to put out here is how some kids are raised.
how they are taught na don't do bad things kasi they will be punished, someone's watching above or worst, that they'd go to hell. tapos they will apologize para lang di mangyari sa kanila yun. they will pray, confess, pero naiintindiha kaya nila talaga why it was bad?

when ang sa tingin ko ang dapat mangyari is they should be a good person towards others because they are people too, they get hurt and  that it's not right to hurt people. they will not do bad stuff not because para di sila mapunish but because they genuinely think na u should not hurt another person dahil may feelings sila.

Mga leader kase ng  iba't ibang simabahan ginagamit ang guilt para sumunod sa kanila ang members  at natural na brain washed na at takot magalit ang Diyos,  maparusahan sila at ayaw mapunta sa impyerno, higit sa lahat magiging honest sila sa pag aabuloy.

Kaya husband ko hindi naniniwala sa organized religion. .

im happy, u share the same sentiments.
 oo sis, andami kong nakikitang brainwashed. lalo na sa block voting. omg. kahit pa di nila sinasabi na hindi sapilitan yun, it still is. and then ang sagot lang nila is, eto kasi yung gusto. or bahala na si lord. i really don't agree with it. nawawalan tuloy ng freewill mga tao out of fear din.

i will raise my kid without one too. i will never let my future kids experience that

^tama sis. Ganon mo palakihin anak mo katulad ng post mo sa itaas.
Pasalamat  ako at ang anak ko bata pa lang  namulat  na.
Nakita nya agad ang " baho"sa isang relihiyon.
I still believe in God pero hindi sa religion.
Ang alam ko na Diys ay mabait , loving  at hindi yung katulad ng pinapalabas nila na mapag parusa .
Anyway para sa akin pare pareho lang naman yan iba iba lang ang tawag like Source, Energy,  Universe etc.  ang importante ay faith. .

Share ko lang yun friend ko sa fb na nagpost ng picture ng victims ng bombing ng ISIS, with a long prayer, na nakalagay, "In Jesus name, everything will be ok.. blah blah"... ang ironic lang ng dating sakin.

oh yes, a lot of people can't because it will require a lifestyle change and consequences in  the society that they are in. most people really can't. so instead of handling that  they just go with the flow and does not question anymore. blind followers, then theres us who questions it. sees the flaws and ask questions. all of us have choices naman, its really still their choice...  but it just makes me sad.
