Dubai (Thread 2)

Just came back from our Dubai trip to celebrate EID holidays for 3 nights 4 days, with my 18mons son and hubby. We stayed in Golden Sands in Bur Dubai.

1st day- We went to Burj Al Arab and dinner at Dhow Cruise
2nd day - Abudhabi grand mosque, Ferrari World. Then coming back from Abu Dhabi we went to Dubai Mall to watch the dancing fountain. We also went to Marina Mall and Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, unfortunately they are not open for visitors during EID, sayang!
3rd day - Dubai aquarium. My son got sick so hindi na kami nakapasyal pa.
4th day - flight back

Mga sis!  Ano ang magandang pasalubong pwede bilhin sa Dubai and where can we buy them?

For me sis kung mag buy ka ng chocolates go for GALAXY may 3pcs na 90g each for less than 11 dirhams lang sobrang mura pero masarap at nutella mura rin kaso mabigat nga lang kasi glass ang lalagyan unlike sa atin sa pinas plastic. Branded perfumes dami ring mura

Mga sis meron na akong RT tickets to Dubai for March 2017. Plan ko sana mag Turkey or London from there. Kailangan ko pa ba ng visa for Dubai kung doon lang ako mag connecting at kung mag tour din ako dun ng 2 days? TIA!

Mga sis kelangan pa ba kumuha ni hubby ng affidavit of support para sa akin at sa kids kasi nagtanong sya sa kakilala nya nagwork sa agency hindi na daw kelangan kasi nasa first degree kami. Pupunta kasi kami ng mga anak ko for 2 weeks sa may , ok lang ba sa agency kumuha si hubby ng visa at may idea po ba kayo magkano na ngayon visit visa for 2 weeks ? TIA

projectgora - hi sis! I checked this with dubai airport. My friend will visit here on February. Then from here, we will go to Georgia. Pabalik ng pinas, her flight will be Georgia-Dubai-Manila. She cannot enter Dubai anymore kapag nakalabas na. Upon arrival from Georgia to Dubai, diretso na sya sa transit passenger, waiting for her flight to Manila.

As long as hindi ka lalabas ng airport, you won't be needing a Visa. Kung sabi mo mga mag tour ka for 2 days, that means lalabas ka ng airport, then you will be needing a Valid Visa.

Thank you sis hermione28! Appreciate your help! Medyo hesitant na kasi ako kumuha ng Dubai visa kasi medyo mahal sya. So baka mag transit na lang talaga ako sa Dubai going to Turkey and going back to Manila.

projectgora - welcome sis. usually you can get a dubai visa for AED300. Ayun lang sayang din kung 2 days lang, pero sayang din kasi nandito ka na rin lang kung kaya naman ng time. hehe. Kahit photo op lang to famous places, Burj Khalifa & Burj Al Arab! Hehe.

Buhayin ko lang tong thread, just booked a ticket for November pa naman but I'm super excited first time ko sa Dubai. Any recommendations sa must-visit places? And madali lang ba mag-get around dito?

^ I'm not sure about getting around.  As a woman, kahit open city sila very conservative parin sila so I would advice coordinating with a local tourist guide.  For sure, you have to visit sand dunes, there will be dinner in the middle of the dessert (food is bad diyan). 

First day, we went to the palm islands and went to atlantis. The kids will love this place.  May aquarium and shopping places inside.  Burj khalifa, burj al arab, juemirah yung 7 star hotel (you should be checked in to go up to the bar, but there are so many pinoys you might still get through). Let me try to recall what to visit.  Went to abu dhabi and visited the grand mosque and passed by ferrari world too.  Took up 7 days there and basically ate buffet in all the different hotels otherwise, food is bad daw if you try the local stuffs.

^^ if you have time, alot ka ng 1 day or 2days sa abu dhabi. maganda mosque nila and may yas island at ferrari world sila.

What did you guys do to get a Visa? What are the requirements? I was searching for info over the internet but it is very limited.

^ thru travel agency. passport size photo and passport copy lang hiningi sa amin then may form sila papa sagot sa iyo.

^ay wow talaga? as in wala ng mga financial docs, ITR, etc.? And around how much for the visa? Somebody told me it was expensive but forgot how much na eh. What travel agency did you go to? TIA!

^sa dubai based agency kami nagpagawa then guarrantor namin friend ko na nurse sa dubai para hindi kami hingan ng bond. altho 2013 at 2014 pa un. may local based agency nag cater ng dubai visa. nasa 4000 pesos binayad namin dati. wala hiningi kahit documents sa amin kaya marami pinoy nakakapunta doon para hanap ng work, madali lang kasi visa.

Hi sis rasee16, do you have friends/relatives ba here in Dubai? Try mong magpatulong sa kanila para makakuhanan ka ng visa here or if you want pwede ka din kumuha sa hotel kung saan ka mag-stay.

^ Google mo Alqadi Tourism, they provide visa. Look for Liezl.  Someone has to go to their office ngalang for the fees and some documents to be signed.
