Say something like "ahh really? Anyway, I'm still going for.." with an excited smile 😁

I have a question. How do you shut down people who have too many "opinions"? I'm one kasi to take offense if I feel that I've made great effort then people would butt in just coz. More like I need a nicer way to say shut the f* up.

This is seriously stressing my cycle big time.

Hi mga sis! thanks for your advice.. I will tell her nalang in a nice way na may nakuha na gagawa ng gown sana di ko siya maoffend.. anyway H2B naman is very supportive he's in abroad kaya talagang I'm having a hard time turning their suggestions down..

..maybe, don't give them na lang too much info sis, provide only very subtle updates about the preps, isang tanong isang sagot hehe. :) kakatakot kasi like what happened to sis bonzaigirl, what if she's not courageous enough to say what she really wanted diba? it's your wedding, they can give advises, you can listen but only follow what you really wanted. :) all the best!

@kayekayelovesA yes tama si sis bellev2g.  You have no idea how many sleepless nights I've had because of that, to the point na umiiyak ako kay hubby kasi hindi ko talaga gusto yung quality. As in kahit sa pic makikita mo na ang panget panget ng quality at cheap tulle yung ginagamit nila. I really learned my lesson, kaya after nung incident hindi na ako nagdidivulge.

"Thanks for the suggestion! Will check it out." is a quick way to end it. But proceed with booking who you really like hehe

May dropout pa naman yan sis. Especially if your wedding is out of town or if you were forced to invite lang people na friends ng parents pero di nyo close.. And these days not everyone goes to the church na, yung mga tinatamad or elderly nga gusto sa reception nalang hehe. Create a tally in your guestlist to count how many are likely to go, you'll be surprised baka malay mo kasya pa sa 140 :)

Thanks sis bonzaigirl and belle_v2g. Actually, pati si tita ni h2b always push us na sa province nalang nila buti nanindigan si h2b na it should be in my province kase ako yung babae.

As in kabilang kwarto lang hahaha.

^Ahh i see. In that case if room lang, shouldn't they have informed you upon inquiry palang on the capacity of each? I guess wala ka na masyadong fall out from the ceremony. Anyway, no other options of adjacent rooms you can move to? Then perhaps after you estimate the 'coming' count you'd need to cut a bit from the 200 just so if ever sobra hindi naman overflowing on the day itself...

Another bride had the same problem and her solution was to invite close non negotiable people in the ceremony then the rest straight reception na.

Mga di mo close would be relieved to know pwede derecho reception na sila hehe.

Just want to share an officemate's dilemma. He's getting married this November. Simple wedding (limited budget as well) and it will be held in their province. They booked a resort for the reception and hanggang 150 guests lang ang limit.

His problem is, the bride-to-be doesn't like the idea of having a guests limit. Marami daw kasing gustong pumunta. And groom-to-be wants to backout now!

Tried to convince him to talk with th B2B again. Pero nawawalan na siya ng gana.

wow nakakalungkot naman yan sis moizzzelle pero important element in a relationship ang open communication and understanding so if the bride doesn't understand his H2B's situation.. what's the point of getting married? I mean baka maging problema lang nila yan sa future. Nakakaawa naman si G2B but he has to make a decision, they really need to talk about it before they tie the knot.

^^sis moizelle, I agree with sis Tiffany24. I can't help but understand the side of G2B. Kung ganyan na minor problem pa lang sya kung tutuusin, guestlist, hindi na nila mapagkasunduan, what more in the future years, or even days to come?  Dapat eh mapagusapan na nila yan kagad before the day comes. I suppose this is just the tip of the iceberg. Baka may iba pa din reason. :(

^ I have attended weddings the province and based sa experiences ko, parang fiesta nga ang setting. Open to everybody ang reception.
